Was looking for a coffee shop to get some work done and found the reviews pretty nice so decided to check it out. The coffee shop shares the space with a church, with the coffee shop in the front and the church space closed. Inside there's several small tables, some large tables, and couches. We were able to find a table with a plug nearby and get some work done. The music and ambient sound was a little loud but nothing my headphones couldn't tune out. Their menu had different hot and iced coffees, teas, and matcha. We got their ice matcha, one with banana and one with raspberry. We originally thought they offered baked items but there were none at our visit. Matcha was good and you could taste the added flavors really well. Hope to be back to try their other drinks and baked items if they have them. read more

rating: 2.5/5 i really wanted to like this place more than i actually did. i found them on IG and loved the aesthetic they were giving. honestly, top-tier marketing because it convinced me to come try it. walking in, it looks cute at first... cozy, nice setup, very on-brand. but the energy felt kinda off? like it was trying to be warm and inviting, but somehow felt awkwardly quiet and a little stale at the same time. not sure if it was the lighting, the layout, or just the overall vibe, but it didn't feel as welcoming as it looked online. the barista was kind and got our drinks out quickly, so no complaints there. but the drinks just weren't hitting. i got the banana pudding matcha, and it was super milky and lacked that rich matcha flavor--the banana part didn't really come through either. overall, it just tasted kind of bland, especially for almost $20 for two drinks. read more

This is the ambiance I want from my coffee shops, not cold and sterile ;-; What we tried: * Banana Matcha $7.50 - I like my matchas stronger, but my friend who doesn't like his matchas that strong said it was perfect. The housemade banana pudding was so good!! Tastes more of banana bread than banana laffy taffy, and there's real banana chunks inside * Mocha $6.50 - recommended by the barista and my friends said this was delicious! The chocolate flavor is closer to cacao nibs or dark chocolate, so it's a deeper flavor that's not too sweet. My friend said he could drink this in one go without putting it down * Bumble Coffee $6.50 - this can be made with OJ or cranberry juice and we chose OJ! The OJ tastes natural (like it's housemade but idk if it is) and the coffee flavor is light. You get hints of honey at the end! * Rosella Tea $5 - I looooved this. Lots of seating. The guy working greeted us and took his time answering our questions. We decided on: Banana Cloud Matcha - not super sweet but the banana cloud is delightful Raspberry Cloud Latte - the raspberry cloud is yummy!!!! Strawberry Lemonade - my youngest loved it! However, their indoor atmosphere were relaxing with good christian holy music playing ok the background. I must say this was the first Christian coffee shop I have ever visited. I was greeted by a young melancholic Eastern European female staff. I had the Iced Flash Brew. And it was just okay. Prices were above the market pricing. Service was utterly banal. But it's a holy place so I restrained myself and went for a prayer. Merch was bloody expensive ($35/Jesus shirt). I'd say it's for the birds! Parking was easy given they're in a large lot. Leaving a meeting at work and desperately needing a pick-me-up, I opened yelp and searched local coffee spots. Holy Coffee popped up nearby and I decided to give it a try. Located in a very industrial complex, this is not where you would expect to find a typical coffee shop. I walked in and was immediately greeted by the barista. I decided to try an iced oat milk pumpkin spice latte. The latte was smooth and creamy, with the perfect level of spice without tasting overly sweet or artificial. I took my drink to-go, but there were several tables and places to sit inside. I believe they are connected to or affiliated with a religious organization, thus the name. A great place to study or work since there is a refillable water station. Family friendly too with a baby changing table in the women's restroom. If you're looking for a true hidden gem and hole-in-the-wall coffee shop that is off the beaten path, look no further because "Holy Coffee" will have you covered. Located in a very industrial part of North Highlands surrounded by various office buildings, the easiest way to find this place is by going north on Watt Ave, turning left on Winona Way, and make your first immediate right into the business park. I actually ended up coming here during the afternoon of Saturday 3/8/25 at around 4:30pm. No matter what time of day you arrive, parking is readily available. Normal business hours are Mon/Tue 7:30am-6pm, Wed-Fri 7:30am-10pm, Saturday 9am-6pm, and closed on Sunday. To many of you coffee lovers, this was once the space where "Common Coffee" once stood before this place took over. Much of the interior decor has remained unchanged but the seating area (with hand-carved tables) was brought in and truly flows well with the aesthetic layout. This is also an excellent place to work, study, socialize with friends, or just a spot to get that caffeine fix. The reason for the business name being called Holy Coffee is because this place is adjacent to United Church of Sacramento. Even though the coffee shop is closed on Sundays, the church operates on Sundays at noon as well as Tue/Wed evening services. It is very similar to a coffee shop I went to in Memphis, TN (called "The Hub") that is a striking resemblance to this. During my visit, I ended up going with their "Rose Raf" drink. This is a hot beverage that is infused with espresso, rose, half & half, pear, and beetroot powder. The menu itself is quite limited but does include both hot and iced espresso beverages as well as matcha and a strawberry-lemonade refresher. They also carry a small assortment of pastries including croissants, cinnamon rolls, and over savory treats to pair up with your drink. Overall, my Rose Raf drink was the perfect balance of sweet & bitter. Definitely a winner if you're not looking for anything overbearingly strong. The ambiance and environment that is presented here gives you that feeling as if you're in a very quite oasis type atmosphere. All in all, I am giving "Holy Coffee" an above average four-star rating. It is in a very quiet area away from the busy hustle and bustle areas of Sacramento. read more

This coffee shop took over the previous one called Common Coffee. No idea if they were related in any way but it still has the same quiet ambiance as before! It's tucked away in a shopping center so it's very quiet and not too crowded, making it the perfect spot for studying or working. Pricing is pretty average compared to other small business coffee shops. We were able to get oatmilk for both of our drinks. I wish the matcha had an option to do strawberry or some kind of sweetener! It tasted more like the oatmilk than the matcha. Otherwise both drinks were not bad! I was also hoping to grab a pastry for our kids that I had seen on their Instagram or Yelp page but didn't see any when we came. The menu is very simple, so I don't think there's anything pushing me to drive all the way back again. But they just opened up so I'm hoping they'll add some seasonal or specialty drinks so that I can come back to try more! read more

A small coffee shop tucked into an industrial building area. The store is set up in a very asthetically pleasing way and lots of spots to take selfies. Also, there are lots of good table spaces to study or catch up with friends. They have soft chrsitian instrumentals playing in the background. The staff was kind and gave me the confidence to try a different drink that I've never tried before. I tried the bumble coffee, which was orange juice with espresso. It was definitely different from what I'm used to. The coffee with the orange juice makes the coffee taste chocolately. It's definitely an acquired taste. But the espresso tasted dark bold and smooth. I would definitely be back to try a latte or a matcha drink. read more

We were thrilled to find this coffee spot on our drive home from Lake Tahoe! We often look for unique coffee spots on our travels, rather than just stop at a Peets or 4bucks. It was just off Hwy 80 and the coffee was really, really good. I have no idea how people could review the staff as anything other than warm, welcoming and helpful. The coffee was A++. They had whole milk for me and oat milk for my vegan best friend. After a week of expensive Truckee made weak brown water coffee, their espresso was exactly what I needed. Modern, clean atmosphere--the kind of place where my daughter could study late. The church music was a plus: Not overwhelming but an oasis atmosphere in this crazy world.
