I went here this morning and my wife loved the food and drinks. We got a cold brew and the worker who made her coffee was the best. She made our day. Fast friendly and clean! I needed a place to meet another school mom and this Starbucks had a great sitting area in the back!

Great environment but customer service could've been a little better. Walked in with 6 people behind the counter and not one person greeted me as they were more concerned with speaking to each other about their conversation. When reached the counter the girl there just stared at me until I placed my order which was a little weird. Starbucks on 14th and H st in dc would never lack customer service like this. This is a good location! Must say I do like the employees here, as they are a friendly group. You won't be waiting for long either. My usual treat is the mocha frappes. They are overpriced like their other products, but as an occasional treat why not? Comfortable seating area. You can kick back and relax here. I also like their tables as well. Quite often read the kindle. The Christmas blend or Yukon are excellent, but a lot of their brews aren't all that. I detect a bitter aftertaste on most. read more

Granted I am not a huge fan of Starbucks but this visit was just incredible. I was waiting for an appointment that was running late so I decided to go to the Starbucks in the same shopping center. There was nobody in line. I ordered an everything bagel toasted with cream cheese. I also ordered a hot beverage. People were coming in after me and getting their drinks... mine took about 10 minutes. sorry to put you out. Then I got my bagel. I have never had an everything bagel that didn't have any garlic or onion on top. Mine had some weird brown things and a few poppy seeds around the edges. The bagel had been heated but not toasted. The barista who took my order made it perfectly clear by his demeanor that I should be grateful that he was waiting on me rather treating me like a valued customer. He should have told me that he was not able to toast the bagel as I had requested. I know this is something they can but he just chose not to. I think he grabbed the first bagel he could get out of the case and pretty much ignored my request for an everything. I know that there is a priority for mobile orders, but that accounted for only one of the drinks made before mine. The other 8 drinks were ordered AFTER mine which was a bit infuriating. Combining his attitude and inaccuracy of the order with the blatant ignoring by the barista who was making the drinks, it is highly unlikely that I will ever go back to this location. read more

Disgraceful. I do like this Starbucks the most since they do really good work on getting the beverages right and the food heated to the perfect temperature, but this last experience of them choosing to serve what looked like a bag of vomit was such a disgrace! I ordered their new steak, egg and tomatillo burrito, which is $5 by the way! I didn't think to look in the bag before walking out since I didn't think I needed to. Well, shame on me since I was surprised at what I found once I did look in the bag to take out my burrito! I didn't go back since I was already on the road and had an appointment I needed to be at. It's a huge shame on the Starbucks employee who thought it was perfectly fine to serve this bag of crap to one of their loyal customers!! read more

Ordered delivery: the order came in a brown bag with anti-tamper seal stickers on top. I ordered a double smocked bacon sandwich, lemon loaf slice, and white iced tea...everything was delivered accurate, fresh, and within 20 minutes. My only recommendation would be to have the cold drink separate from the warm items-However, the items still came fresh since they were delivered so fast. I come to this Starbucks frequently as it is very close to my house. It's got a long & narrow layout, with limited seating, but the baristas have always been friendly and the drinks up to the Starbucks standard, IMO. It does sometimes get to be a little bit of a cluster at times in the front section of the counter with people waiting for their drinks, people seated at the high-top table nearby, and people picking up their mobile orders. But aside from that and the occasional (inevitable) line, I can't really say I've ever had a negative experience here! And at least you can always find a spot in the parking lot, unlike at the other location a few miles further down Burke Center Parkway, lol. read more

The wait here is soooooooo long. If you don't mind sitting, and waiting, and waiting, for your drink to finally be ready, then this is the place for you. The seating is just ok, and often dirty. It feels cramped, and definitely not comfy nor cozy. I think this is the type of Starbucks that you pick up your drink and leave. read more

I have mixed feelings about all Starbucks in general -- think it's overpriced, bad coffee and overpriced, highly caloric frothy concoctions that con my twenty-something co-workers every day out of their salary. But my kids love it and sometimes to reward them I'll let them con me into getting them a frappucino here. So three stars from me is about as good as Starbucks will get. This particular Starbucks is the good one in Burke. Stay way far away from the bad one two miles west near the Safeway and Kohls. The staff here is much friendlier and teens hanging out are far less obnoxious. The whole restaurant is much cleaner. read more

This place is great, especially because they are in walking distance of my house, so its a quick and easy pit stop on my morning commute. I've never had a bad experience with the staff, and, speaking as a former barista (ahhh the good 'ole high school days), I realize that customers who haven't gotten their caffeine fix can stress you out. I'm sure they love that all I ever request is a Grande black coffee, rather than a vanilla bean frappaccino (sp?) in the bitter cold of winter. Another bonus is that this location is rarely too crowded, at least in all of the times that I have been there, and it has a lot of space! They have never taken more than three minutes to serve me, even the one time that I ordered a peppermint mocha around Christmas. Hey, we all have our vices. On occasion, I would get one of their breakfast sandwiches to wolf down while on my commute, they're not five star quality, but they do the trick when I'm too lazy to make eggs in the morning! To those who complain about "limited parking." Seriously? It's a shopping center. Just park at...oh I don't know...the other thousand empty spaces in the rest of the lot and walk an extra fifty feet. It's free, and you (likely) have functioning legs. I mention the same thing in my review of the adjacent GameStop. read more

Starbucks was the spot for Blackout-Armageddon! On the Saturday after the storm (6/30/12) it was packed with a consistent line of people ordering their cup of java, recharging their gadgets, and enjoying the cold AC as Starbucks was uneffected by the outage. The baristas were friendly despite the consistent barrage of customers. There was definitely plenty of coffee and electricity to be shared by all. read more

There has yet to be a time that I've gone to this location where something has not been wrong or forgotten. This morning was extra bad. Apparently they were short staffed, which everyone knew because the older, lady barista had no problem quite rudely stating that someone had called out and no one would be getting breaks. She took my order gruffly, no smile, very short. The barista was much friendlier and I received my soy chai but continued to wait for my toasted bagel w/cream cheese. I watched probably 10 people get their orders before I kindly asked where my bagel was. The older woman yelled "it's coming!" 3 more people received theirs while I waited. Although this is the closest, I'll drive a few extra minutes to avoid this service. I gave it several chances, never again. read more

Probably the worst Starbucks I've ever been to. I ordered a Carmel macchiato with no whip cream. The cashier said oh that drink doesn't have whip cream. I said ok thanks and waited for my drink. There were whip cream when I got it. I told the guy who made it and he gave me the meanest attitude while he spooned out the whip cream that wasn't supposed to be there in the first place! I used to love this Starbucks, as it was a great place to come to get work done and focus for a few hours. But for the past two months a man has been coming and sitting all day, conversing and socializing with every living being he encounters. Sorry, I'm sure he's a great guy, but I don't wake up at 5 am to come to Starbucks to socialize - I'm here to get work done. I cant get work done if a strange man is trying to converse with me and everyone else in the store and asking personal questions and basically harassing me. Managers should let him know to be conscious of his surroundings and not disturb customers. This is the fifth time I've had this problem, every time I tell myself there's no way he's still coming everyday, and every time he never fails to show up bright and early at 5 am. Please discuss with him to take care of this issue immediately. Until then I'll be at the Starbucks a few streets away. read more

I rarely go here but visit the other Starbucks up further on Burke Centre Parkway. When I do purchase my coffee here, I always feel a little put off by the attitudes. I love this Starbucks most of the time! The staff is friendly and the drinks are mostly consistent unless they get a trainee or a newer barista. Ihave been going in every morning for over a year now and my drinks have for the most part been consistent! Chang is great he know my drink and has it down! I preordered my coffee this morning to what I thought was this location. I did this because I was traveling out of town, with my dog in the car and did not want to leave him for a minute longer in the car. I got to the store and went to retrieve my coffee from the preorder area, it was not there (I have ordered from this location many times). There was a wonderful young man working and saw my panic-my dog is in the car, still running with AC on- and my coffee was not there! He quickly asked my order and prepared and handed to me so quickly. I offered to pay again and he said "it is on us today". I rarely encounter this kind of professional, caring service. Thank you!!
