Came here on a work-from-home day. The internet here is decent, which is saying a lot for this part of Southern California where business class bandwidth seems hard to come by. I ordered an Americano the last time I came here. To say that the coffee was the best I've ever had would be a complete lie, especially considering having worked in the pacific northwest (PNW) in cities such as Seattle, where (in my opinion) the best coffee is. However, one thing Starbucks has gotten consistently is consistency. I've yet to have a Starbucks Americano that tastes differently regardless of the Starbucks that I go to. On the note of bandwidth: The most recent time I came here, I speedtest'ed and got around 25 Mbps down and 1 Mbps up. Not bad, so it makes this place a good candidate for work from home (WFH) days. This is one of the largest and most busiest SB around here and its neighboring cities. However, parking is a little difficult and sitting inside gets crowded bc it's always busy here. One upside to this location is that there is alot of seating outside and you can still get wifi. There is only 1 bathroom which can get a long time at times and there's a code you need to get in. Not sure why they have this considering the neighborhood is quite nice. Theres another smaller SB closeby in dowtown brea and the seating inside is a bit better considering it's a but separated from all the noise. read more

Great place if you don't mind vagrants high on drugs coming in and out, shouting inside while customers try to enjoy their beverages. One guy had needle marks all over his arm, was bleeding and touching everything around him, including all of the commonly used chairs and tables that are meant for customers. Absolutely disgusting. Will definitely not be visiting this store. It smells and leaves customers feeling unsafe. Starbucks needs to rethink their policy of anyone coming in to sit and used their facilities. For the price of coffee here, it's definitely not somewhere I want to be when you have to deal with this ridiculousness. Go to other stores nearby is my advice. This Starbucks is one of my favorite locations to go to in the area. Unfortunately, since it's near Downtown Brea, sometimes finding parking is really hard. Other than that, it's a nice Starbucks (that has the Reserve with the clover machine) and does not have a drive thru. Every time I've come here, the staff have always been courteous and helpful. I love coming here and doing my work or just relaxing on random days. It's nice here they always smile and their drink menu of both coffees and teas gives you a variety. It's not too busy but at times they do have a line. What I like though is even if there is a line they can serve people really quick. I don't think I've ever waited for more than a few minutes for anything I've ordered. I've tried some of the items they have besides their coffee and teas. Their brownies are good but I think I might avoid those for health reasons but their little snack packages below like the turkey flatbread sandwiches, they have cut fruits and veggies or their other healthy snacks like their packs that have apples and carrots. Delicious. In all the times I've gone there, there was one time where I felt like the food may not have been fresh but it was just that one time. All the other times, no. The food was fresh. I'm not gonna hold that one time against them because it was just one time. Besides their staff are kind. The menu seems to change with the seasons which is nice because then it's not the same thing all year round day in and day out. I like that. I was wearing one of my Naval Academy SS shirts. We spoke about Navy/Marines stuff and my experiences at the academy. This is the location that was quickly remodeled after the camera in the bathroom disgrace. Nice new interior, same bad service. They have a real issue keeping the burners hot. The coffee, especially blonde roast, is never kept hot and has to be rebrewed freshly. Frustrating. Additionally they have trouble following basic directions. How hard is it to *not* heat my pastry? Or when they toss the pastry in a bag with the plastic still on it, lol. Give me a break. Such a bad customer experience that I stopped coming here. Stopped here on my way to work. First time at this location. Staff was very friendly but the whole place was very dirty. There was a thick layer of dust on both the floor and tables, and dust floating heavily through the air. It honestly seemed like nobody had cleaned the floor or tables in weeks with the amount of dust, dirt, and crumb buildup. I frequent this Starbucks location and the one consistent thing I have noticed is associate Jenni's horrible attitude and personality. As a customer facing employee, she does not seem to have the skill set needed to create a positive and inviting experience for customers. She is not personable and during my experience this mor morning she was rude and condescending. Jenni took and rang up my order and walked away in bad mood which was odd. I went here this morning to order a venti iced green tea latte and a double-smoked bacon and cheddar sandwich. The place is very clean and looks nice. It was pretty packed today when I came inside. When I came to order the drink, the barista was very friendly and got my order with no complications. The friendly staff is the reason why I would give them two stars. The atmosphere is calm since some are studying while some are socializing. When I was waiting for my drink, I notice that the barista was holding on a venti-sized cup with white liquid (most likely milk) with caramel and ice. Then, he took matcha powder, I believe, and scooped many scoops in. Afterwards, he put on the lid and attempted to stir it but it was not stirred. In fact, it looked like milk mixed in with patches of green. He did not bother to re-attempt my drink but I let it slide because I thought I could just stir it myself. After many tries and many sips of matcha powder, I finally mixed it in. However, the green tea latte's color looked very different from other Starbucks I have been to. When I retried it, it tasted not at all like the usual iced green tea latte. After drinking a few sips, I just decided to throw away the drink. The double-smoked bacon and cheddar sandwich was fantastic though! I was just fairly upset about the quality of my drink. read more

Wow. I've never thought that I'd be able to get the level of service and excellence I have gotten from this Starbucks. The coffee I got benefited my life in the typical ways you'd imagine, it made me richer, it made me happier, and it made me taller. The tall guy made my coffee, so I can only imagine that's part of the reason why my visit was so great. Everyone else there is pretty great too, some guy kept asking me if I had hydrated though, not sure why. I replaced water with Budweiser back in 92 and I feel great. I have been meaning to write this review for a long time now, I just haven't got around to it. I really, really, really adore this team that works at this location. I have been going here consistently for a little over three years now and I have grown to befriend most of the baristas that work here. I have seen employees come and go, which break my heart, but their spot is filled with a new, and just as great employee. There are some notable names I want to include who are personally my fave; Maddy, Josh, Keith, Eve...they make my day so much better. During this pandemic, I haven't gone because it's not a drive-thru and I want to limit person-to-person contact and much as I can. I have been going to other locations near me and it's not the same. I really like coming here to get work done. Service has always been good and their drinks are pretty consistent. I like that there are a lot of tables scattered around. It might be difficult to find an outlet for your computer though if you come in the evening or during finals week. There are a lot of students who come to study at this location. It's located right near downtown Brea. If you're coming during those busy times, it can get a little tricky trying to find parking because there are lots of other stores and restaurants that share the same parking area. Definitely one of the better Starbucks locations I've been to. They recently remodeled less than a year ago, so the interior is especially clean, modern and updated. The employees here are fairly friendly and there's tons of seating outdoors, since this Starbucks shares the same patio area as Corner Bakery, Fuji Grill, Blaze Pizza, Golden Spoon, and some other adjoining restaurants. The biggest challenge with this location is probably the parking, as there are so many neighboring businesses that it can pretty difficult to find a spot at nearly any hour of the day. Nonetheless, this is a good location and is much bigger than the cramped Starbucks on Associated Rd! read more

Used to be my go to but once they started slipping with my nitro coffee it changed things. 1) baristas are forgetful 2) even after morning rush hour they still look like they don't have their stuff together 3)when out of nitro at least put a sign up. I dont want to wait 15 min because a barista didn't put my iced coffee cup waiting to be shaken in the right spot.
