It's got a darker, celestial vibe. Which makes sense with the nod to alchemy. There are enough cozy nooks to have a private chat or bigger tables for groups. I'm a black coffee type of gal so I can't speak to the fancy coffee drinks. But coffee straight is a nice middle ground between robust and bright. If you're holding gift cards or gave gift cards as holiday gifts, get in touch with the Kellys (at the White Rabbit number or page I assume) as they will refund them. Sarah is a remarkable chef and DK could teach a master class on hospitality. Those two things combined are part of the reason their businesses, White Rabbit, Petite 4 and prior to that the downtown sandwich shop Bleu Bird (in the space now occupied by Lemon Tree) were so popular. The Kellys say they are staying in Boise and that is a good thing for all of us who like to eat; to see where their creativity will take them. In the meantime, the Rex's have built a wonderful restaurant empire of successful, quality enterprises in less than 10 years since relocating to Boise from California. Best known among them is The Wylder and Percy, both in downtown Boise, but they also own others including Wyld Child that is in the same neighborhood as White Rabbit. So it is very good news for people who love good food in Boise, that the Rex's are the people who the Kelly's contacted to buy their beloved buildiong. Bat Man and Marvel comics were his go to. So, coming to this joint only made sense. Yoooooo, this has to be one of the dopest comic book stores around! As soon as you walk in, everything catches your eye! You have Deadpool right at the door. You have beautiful display cases with the most realistic characters in them. Funko Pops nicely organized on shelves. Comic books neatly arranged in bins nicely labeled. It truly is a prestine store. We looked around for a bit. I was just in awww at how cool everything was. My husband was mainly doing the looking. He didn't really find anything that caught his eye. He has a pretty good collection but didn't find what he was specifically looking for. All good cause there's always next time! The gentleman that was working today was really nice! Even though he was mid conversation with another customer, he still greeted us! Very loudly and happily too! The set up of this joint is cool! And the fact that they serve coffee here so you can chill and read a comic is dope.
