Iced White Chocolate Mocha with no ice cream
Cara H.

I recently visited this location yesterday and did not have a good experience. When ordering via the drive through I had to repeat myself more than a couple of times before my order was repeated correctly. When I got to the window to pay I told the cashier that I wanted to use my coupon which was BOGO, but I was charged for two drinks instead of one. After being charged the correct amount I was given my drinks. I ordered 2 Venti Iced White Chocolate Mochas with caramel drizzle and lined on the cup. My drinks had no ice in them and I didn't ask for the ice to be removed. The cashier at the window and the others working in the store refused to admit ice was absent. I order this drink every week and there is always ice unless I ask otherwise. They offered to remake the drinks but I was already frustrated and had been in line for a very long time. To top it all off I received straws that were not for the Venti cup size. I will not be returning to this location.

Stopped here 2x while in Birmingham. Good coffee, as always, but 2 major downers: 1 - impossible to see from the road so parking lot wandering and 2 - weirdest entrance ever. It shares a building with TMobile. Parking is squeezed to the side and you have to want Starbucks to find it.

A black beetle type of bug
Sav G.

Gross. 0/10 recommend. Got a black iced coffee. Ordered it online. My husband drank all of it then when he got to the bottom we found a bug inside. I have attached the pictures of the bug we found. Was very grossed out by this. Will not be going back and recommend the same for you.

Tall iced coffee with classic syrup and cream

I love Starbucks, and this one in the Crestwood area was very much needed. I'm not sure how I lived here almost 15 years without one! Oh yeah....I was between 0-15 years old and didn't drink Starbucks yet. I usually come to this area to shop and with this one being so close to the Walmart here it's hard not to want to make a stop here! It's connected to the T-mobile building which was a little odd, but I'm not complaining. They have some of the speediest drive-thru service here as well. I got a tall iced coffee with classic syrup and cream in no time at all. It was delicious and probably one of the best iced coffees I've had. The workers are super friendly as well. You would think you walked into Chick-fil-a on accident.

Mango dragon fruit refresher
Angela A.

Stopped in on Saturday & got a turkey pesto panini and a mango dragon fruit refresher. Service was a little slow as they were training the associate that helped us in drive thru. I absolutely enjoyed my panini, it was warm and slightly toasted. Now this was my first time trying the refresher and it was ok, but had a little twang that I didnt care for. So I know I wont get that again..

In case you need another reason to love Starbucks... here's one more! So this morning I was rushing to get ready for work, and I must have forgotten to grab my wallet. Of course, I didn't realize this until I was already stuck in the drive through lane at Starbucks, on Montclair. Awkward. I shyly told the barista, Gabby, that I had forgotten my wallet at home and that there was someone behind me. I told her that I would just drive on through. She then asked me what I was going to order and told me it would be okay. Little did she know, I was having a rough morning and her act of kindness really made my day (and it's only 8:05 am!). Man, you gotta love Starbucks! THANK YOU GABBY!

Supposed to be a VENTI Shaken espresso

What's the point of paying for a venti? I haven't taken a single sip just put the straw in it. The sad thing is I come to this location everyday!!!

Love this location! Baristas and manager are so nice... I've rarely had problems with my orders. Wish they had bigger food selection.

There wasn't line when we got there but the crowd usually follows us for some reason so by the time we left there was standing room only and a line out the door. The bakery items were very fresh and tasty. I loved the Swedish gingerbread cookies - light and crisp. The lemon bar was delicious. They also have sandwiches that liked really good. Coffee - I got a vanilla latte extra sweet (no lavender) and my daughter said it was one of the best. I thought it was pretty good. I would go again when back in Birmingham!

The young girl making the coffee was loudly talking about someone who messed up their coffee order this morning and how frustrated she was. The only other employee was occupied with what seemed a large order of bread etc. When she finished what she was doing she looked at the now five customers, claustrophobically waiting, and said I'll be right back and disappeared. Leaving the one guy serving the one customer. It was 11:30 am on a rainy day. Figured I could do without a cream cheese croissant and coffee and left. Had already waited 5 as the only other person in there and did not want to wait another undetermined amount of time. I know one of the bakers. It's a shame the front has been so bad these last two times.

This was the spot we would all come to to do homework. It's still got that same warmth and charm. I came in on a Wednesday morning to sit and do some work. I ordered a cappuccino, bran muffin, and a breakup cookie to take home. The cappuccino is just as expected. Served at the perfect temp, great flavor. The bran muffin, which was my attempt to be healthy, was really a delicious stand-out. I would definitely get that again. And, of course, the breakup cookies are some of the best cookies in town. They bake all of the baked goods in-house, I believe, which gets a round of applause from me. A lot of the recipes are still the same ones I remember from 7 years ago. One thing I noticed that's even BETTER than I remember was the books and gift selection. A lot of the books caught my eye. It's a great curation of fiction, non, memoirs, birding books, children's, etc. They also carry the Village Apothecary candles, which are made locally and have some packaging I really love. Church Street is one of the Birmingham staples. I hope they're open for a million more years. They do what they do exceptionally well.

Meow! We ordered the Abyssinian Latte with vanilla and cinnamon, and it was absolutely the bomb -- warm, smooth, and perfectly balanced without being overly sweet. The space itself is incredibly cozy and inviting. Colorful furniture, eclectic paintings, and musical instruments hanging on the walls give it a creative, artsy feel -- like they actually get used by a local band after hours. It has that relaxed coffeehouse charm where you could totally imagine Phoebe Buffay singing "Smelly Cat," yet it's also calm enough to have a real conversation or get a bit of work done on a laptop. Parking is street parking only, but we didn't have too much trouble finding a spot. They offer pastries and I noticed they also serve breakfast items, though we stopped in just for coffee this time. The shop was fairly full, which is always a good sign, but there were plenty of small tables that comfortably seat two to four people, so it never felt cramped. The baristas were super friendly and welcoming, adding to the overall positive vibe. My partner and I ended up lingering longer than planned while we talked through our day's plans -- always a sign of a great coffee spot. Warm atmosphere, delicious drinks, and kind staff make this an easy five-star experience. I'll definitely be back to try more of their cat-themed creations!

It has quickly become one my favorites for fresh baked pastries! My choices are any of the cream cheese tarts, the blueberry tart is likely the best I've ever had, the sticky buns, croissants and the cinnamon rolls. These are more along the lines of French-style pastries, so don't expect to be overwhelmed with sweetness, just buttery flaky goodness. They are both visually appealing and simply delicious! They seem to bake in smaller batches so everything is super fresh! The owner/baker is nice and you can often see him working in the back and he might even pop up to say HELLO! There isn't any seating so it's basically an order, pay and go type of place. They also have coffee. Nothing to complain about here. They do have a limited social media presence on Instagram. The menu was large and well diverse: they even had a cortado on the menu which I cant get at all coffee shops!   I am surprised not more people know about the place. I had never heard of it until I was scrolling through highly rated coffee shops on Yelp! The space inside is large and can seat lots of people! For being in Birmingham this surprised me; I feel like most coffee shops here are fairly small.    I also appreciated how relaxed and welcoming the environment felt. It would be such a great spot for studying, meeting a friend, or even having a casual work meeting. The music wasn't too loud, and everything felt clean and well-kept. I loved the creative presentation of the sampler plate! The pimento cheese was very cold and hard to spread but I still it. The toast triangles were delicious!
