This is the Starbucks kiosk that's in the mall, not inside Target. It's always pretty busy given its location right in the middle of the mall. I'm rating it this way for a few reasons, but mainly it's the lack of attention to detail that irks me the most. Mostly high school aged kids that work here so maybe they just need to be taught more, so I'll give them the benefit of the doubt there. Their pickup area is a wreck. There's sections to sort the order names but they just throw them all on the counter with no order, so the sections are useless and the customers are left to literally touch every single coffee to find their name and check if it's theirs. Ew. I've ordered decaf twice from here and both times it was not decaf. And I've also ordered an iced and got a hot, which they fixed but it's the waste of time and materials that's a shame here. Another thing that I don't like about this and is maybe not this location's fault, but any smaller Starbucks kiosk... Their menu is condensed so you don't know all of the offerings or pricing. They only list the grande pricing and a handful of drinks. I would like to use the fact that it's a kiosk as an excuse, but it's honestly bigger than the one inside target and they have a bigger menu so idk. I probably wouldn't come here again, I'd rather go to the one inside Target then. read more

I work in this mall, and during my break today, I stopped by to ask for a cup of ice for my water bottle. Our break room has filtered water, but unfortunately, no ice machine or freezer. I was told that from now on, I'll need to make a purchase just to receive a cup of ice or water. This was especially disappointing to hear, as I used to be a store manager at Starbucks. Unless something has drastically changed, this goes against what I know to be core to Starbucks' customer service values. Providing water or ice -- especially to someone working in the same mall -- has always been a simple courtesy, not a transaction. I've never encountered a food and beverage company that refuses such a basic request. It's not just inconvenient -- it feels needlessly petty and contrary to the kind of hospitality Starbucks is known for. They clean the floor but didn't put the sign WET FLOOR or Caution at the coming line make me felt and NONE of 4people working at the Starbucks help me get up or say sorry or asking am I ok no matter they all saw I felt??? This Starbucks is located within the South Hills Mall or Village- and like any other Starbucks with a long line and several green aprons barking out names and reminding you that you're an uncultured swine bc you ordered medium not grande. Thanks to a recent trip down state with my Starbucks accomplice and overall bud Vog- I ordered what he had and got a green tea frappacino. It came out relatively quickly for the line, and the only issue I encountered was the old bag who cut in line and knew she did but decided that since she was older and probably lived through the Depression she had a free pass. read more

It's kind of difficult to review this Starbucks. Mall locations are probably less conducive to a good experience than stand alone stores and combined with needing to wear a mask all day is surely a PIA. But man they sure have a way of putting out the "you're unappreciated" vibe to the customers. The coffee itself was good but I'm in no hurry to go back. read more

Very friendly location. It seems that the cashier is always in a great mood, friendly, and remembers to address you by your name, which is super nice. You never wait too long for a drink and at this location you can use the app to pay ahead. It's right in the middle of the mall, so it's very easy to get to and nice to have a drink while shopping. If I'm ever at the mall I make sure to stop by and I would recommend it to anyone else. read more

I came to this place twice.... First one, I asked for dairy-free which I asked for frapp- coconut milk only and no whipping cream which I know they have milk contains. But they put them in diary blender? And then they put whipping cream on top of it.... I asked them, "doesn't it have diary in it? And they said, "no, they don't have diary" but I asked, "why did you put whipping cream on it?" He was like, "oh..." then he whipped the whipping off of cup. Why didn't he just make another one? Second one, I asked for the same order as usually, but they do this the same thing they put them in dairy blender?????? I asked them why would they put it in diary blender in it if someone allergic to it? Then they said, "Oh, I am sorry I don't have the non-dairy blender." And I said, "Um, are you sure? They had non-dairy blender last time I visited this place" then they said, "oh we have it in the office." I was like, "ok, go get it. Because I am allergic to it." Then they walked to them and get it. I was late for work. Smh. They really need to train this things before someone sue them. read more

Never have I ever experienced such horrible customer service. I came in before my shift Christmas Eve 12-24-19 at 7:30am and ordered two drinks- one for me and one for my boss. My boss' peppermint mocha was fine however upon handing me my hazelnut latte, the barista called out "vanilla latte". I asked for good measure what it was and he then corrected himself by saying "hazelnut latte". I went back to my store and let the drink cool a bit. When I picked it up and took a sip it tasted off. Definitely lacking that potent hazelnut smell and taste. No biggy! I can just go get it remade, right? WRONG. I go back down and politely ask for it to be remade. As per Starbucks policy, correct? He then proceeded to remake my drink all the while making rude comments LOUDLY under his breath about me not being the one making the coffee and me not knowing what I was talking about. I stood there and pretended like I couldn't hear him because I am not a confrontational person and the whole situation was extremely uncomfortable. He then handed me a new drink which smelled slightly more of hazelnut but was still quite off and told me to try it. When I replied and said it was fine (just because I was afraid if i told him I wanted a refund he would literally throw it on me) he then replied "yep it's the same thing". I will not be back to this location so long as he is employed there. The other workers have never disappointed and remain to be kind and get the job right the first time. If this is how this man treats customers I fear how he treats his employees. Honestly, this was the first time I have ever went to any barista for a remake and will probably be the last! I just had my first Pumpkin Spiced Latte at the Starbucks at the South Hills Village location served to me with loving care from Haley and it truly made my day. In the past I have not preferred a kiosk type Starbucks, but that preference changed today thanks to a team of people at this local Starbucks who shared their kindness and joy in waiting on me that I believe WE ALL NEED THESE DAYS. Unlike other local Starbucks (including the one at the Galleria), this location reminded me why I have been a gold card carrying Starbucks coffee lover for years. I work in the mall and sometimes order from this Starbucks on lunch. Today I waited 15 minutes (half my break) for them to put out an empty cup and not call my name. When I saw there was an empty cup sitting on the drink station I realized it had my name on it. I asked what was this about they said that they no longer serve that drink. That's fine but you wasted half my break and couldn't be bothered to tell me. Because I didn't have any more time to wait they so kindly offered me a merch card worth LESS than the drink I ordered. Went to this Starbucks and told them I have a severe nut allergy so I asked if my drink could be made in a separate pitcher/shaker whatever. They didn't really say anything. When they called out a drink that I thought could be mine because I was the only one waiting, I realized it was the wrong drink. The label had the name of the drink I actually ordered with "severe nut allergy" written on it. I explained to the barista it wasn't what I ordered and if I didn't have allergies I would just take it. I told her my correct order was on the ticket. I apologized to her. She didn't say a word and just took it out of my hands and walked away. While she remade my drink she whispered about me to the other employees and I watched her say "yeah, and now I have to dump it out" and was extremely annoyed. I was shocked at how rude they were. This was the worst starbucks I have ever visited. They have terrible service and extremely rude and ungrateful for how cool their job could be. For instance my friends and I were wanting Starbucks since we pulled into my local mall and we finally went in line and ordered our drinks.
