My family and I went to Starbucks Drive thru as we were driving around looking at Christmas lights. I ordered the hot chocolate with whipped cream. The woman at the window greeted us with a smile and was very kind. She offered us a drink holder but we didn't need it. The hot chocolate was good. It was hot but not overly hot and it was sweet but not overly sweet. I'm not sure of the inside as we went through the drive thru but the parking lot was decent and the Starbucks exterior was lit up by the sign on the building. We did go at night about an hour before closing so there was just one car ahead of us and we moved through the drive thru quickly.

Sarah is a sweetheart! She has such a welcoming voice and energy! I instantly was drawn to her as she welcomed people in! She's super kind even with it being slightly hectic! The location has more parking and seating then the other Austin locations but it is a little louder then the other locations . But I like it here, lots of diversity and politeness from everyone! I liked this location! The tables were dirty I had to wipe and clean the tables off, but I think possibly just so busy hard to keep up with

Cups and stuff.

Needed another coffee! Good place to visit with my h.s. friend Carlos! Thanks for the coffee! Love you!

Austin is known for having a lot of coffee, but very few have identifiable differentiators. Merfolk's creates coffee flavors based on fantasy lore, so you honestly never know what the special menu will have. That's why we keep spending our money there. Many of the drinks are sweet but the staff is more than happy to make adjustments as needed! The ambiance is also so cute and whimsical. I love being in beautiful spaces like this---it makes getting any sort of work done in my laptop much more enjoyable.

Upon walking in, the place had a decent amount of ppl inside but still had ample seating. Seems like a lot of people work from this cafe bc we sat next to one guy working on his laptop taking calls, & then a group interview came in and sat behind us. Anyway - the drink options were cool. I like the fact that they have cool tea blends as well. They were yummy but it wasn't anything I would rave about. They have board games you can play with, so we played a few rounds of break the ice lol. I was slightly let down by the decor tho I won't lie. I guess I was expecting more fantasy elements or themes, but it was mostly like antlers and wheels on the wall. They did have a cool giant mural though.

I didn't sample the bakery food this time, although everything looked tempting. I opted for iced tea, and they absolutely got it right. A generous glass of excellent tea, which is surprisingly hard to find at coffee shops these days. The folks behind the counter were genuinely friendly, service was quick, and the whole place had that wonderfully eclectic, slightly funky South Austin character. Nothing fancy or pretentious, just a comfortable neighborhood hangout with plenty of personality. You can tell Captain Quack's has earned its place in the hearts of the locals. Great atmosphere, good people, and a little Austin weirdness in all the right ways. I'll be back, and next time I'm trying something from that bakery case.

There is also an expansive outdoor sitting area so you can enjoy the sunshine, in addition to the tables in front. Service is excellent, on par with their other locations. And the desserts are really amazing. I recommend trying their decorated sugar cookies. They have specials every day where you can get one style for $1(?). Also the pies and cakes and lemon bars and etc. should all be tasted. I do wish they had better breakfast and lunch options when it comes to savory food. And also one of the rooms is super dark. Maybe build in some extra windows? There is plenty of parking. You can order your cakes to go and bring one to your next dinner party, as it's a full bakery in addition to a coffee shop.

It's a mid-sized place indoors with two, large, covered outdoor seating areas. Great music is piped in throughout the grounds. Food trucks line the outer border. Inside they offer a great selection of coffee drinks in addition to a wide selection of beers and a full bar. I had a black Americano, and it was great. Then I visited a poke bowl food truck and ordered a poke wrap (poke ingredients wrapped in rice and then in a soy wrapper so you can pick it up and eat it with your hands). It was also great. I've never had a poke wrap veggie. And if you aren't ready for lunch, I hear one of the food trucks offers amazing breakfast burritos. It's a popular place. It may take a moment to find parking (but at least it's free) and you may wait in line for a bit (even though they had two people working the order counter). But it's totally worth it. The atmosphere, beverages and available food options differentiate this place from other coffee houses and bars. And there's so much seating, you can hang out here for as long as you'd like, sipping a beverage and enjoying the music.

I need to come back here again, cause the food truck was great, the drinks were fantastic, and the whole area outside was perfect. Our usual order is the Whisper Wintermoon, and it's consistently good. Their coffee is solid, and the moon milk adds a lovely, light sweetness without being overpowering. They sometimes have breakfast tacos in the mornings from a local vendor, and those have been pretty good too. All in all, Summer Moon is a coffee shop we've enjoyed for a long time.
