SO FRIENDLY! The staff here was lovely and full of life. During my ~2 hours here studying, the staff recognized so many customers and had many friendly personable conversations! It's nice to see a cafe have regulars. There are tables to sit at, but no sofa/lounge chairs to relax at. I really liked the ambiance here, so I'd definitely return for more study sessions. They also have a cute little free library inside the Starbucks. Be sure to come leave a book and take a book! Side note: If you have enough stars for a free drink (since it's pricy) I recommend getting an Iced Matcha Latte with pistachio sauce and pistachio cold foam! Pretty solid Starbucks. Plenty of parking but be careful of the lot as there are a ton of drive be thru people and it can be a bit chaotic. Super kind staff. I brought a mug and they washed it and gave me the 10 cent discount (nobody uses cents anymore- side note. Couldn't even find the symbol. Also side note- if a drip coffee is almost $4 these days shouldn't the discount be at least 50 cents) Kind of strange that when I asked for a splash of cream they mentioned they could only give it to me in a cup on the side. Totally negated me bringing my own cup. Maybe COVID related? But couldn't they add it? Not a super cozy interior like some Starbucks. More of a table and chair set up. Some good outlets though and maybe few quiet and peaceful people clicking away to the soothing sounds of the steamer and orders. read more

There's only a couple of reviews so far for this Starbucks location, and the most recent one is from 2 years ago. Let me just vouch for the fact that the friendly service remains a blessing and there is still a steady flow of customers throughout the day. The staff is quick so you never have to wait long, even when the line is to the door! Judging by the interior decor alone, I would have never guessed that this this location was more than a year old. The place is definitely clean and well-kept. They also provide free Wi-Fi like all Starbucks locations, as well as plenty of outdoor seating. This location has a fair share of Starbucks gift/drinkware items (mugs, tumblers, etc) as well as the K-cups/Verismo pods. The one drawback is that they don't serve many of Starbuck's extended food selections (Bistro boxes, parfait, salad, etc), but they do serve the breakfast sandwiches... all day! Who doesn't want a double-smoked bacon, cheddar and egg croissant at 7PM? Yuuum... What more is there to say about a Starbucks? Probably one of the better Starbucks in the Asheville area. I have only encountered a few disgruntled employees, so that's what's really on this location's side. Also, they are always eager to offer my pup a puppicino when I go through the drive thru. (Just whip in case you were wondering.) A typical starbucks location here. Clean, good drinks, friendly service. Because the business right across from a school and a central location on Hendersonville road, there are some times of the day that are ridiculously slow (7:45-8:15 am and 3-4:30 pm). I have always been super happy with customer service and delicious drinks. I always walk in, order, and take my drinks to go. There has never been a mistake with ay drinks or anything weird. I'm happy that we have one in South Asheville. Nothing really makes it stand out either positively or negatively in my opinion (although I don't come here regularly). This is one of my favorite Starbucks. They always make my latte just the way I like it (2pumps toffee nut, 2 pumps vanilla). Also, I usually order the egg & protein box and they are always fresh. In a previous post I had an experience with a protein box at another Starbucks that was definitely not fresh. They mess up my order 80% of time when I go here , today was fun , I finally told them my order was messed up and the lady at the window told me " to just be a good sport and take it " . I usually spend between 5-25$ when I go here . I'm not really up for being a good sport when I've told you my order 5 times . Respectfully , if you were more worried about taking orders instead decided who is right and wrong about the order over the mic you would get it correctly the first time . My boyfriend and I stopped in Asheville on our way home from Georgia, and decided to grab coffees here before heading back on the road. We both used to work for Starbucks before we both recently quit for better job opportunities, but we feel this gives us a unique perspective when visiting different locations. We both agree it may seem silly to leave a review for a Starbucks, but also as former SSV's know what a good review can do for store morale. If we could give this store 10 stars, we would. The entire staff was so so so friendly. The service was great- they were quick, calm, thorough, attentive- to us, and everyone else we saw them serve. The environment had such a beautiful ambiance with a good-flowing layout of the store, warm-toned sleek furniture, pristine food / merchandise display cases, bright natural lighting, and it was by far the cleanest store we've ever been into. There was literally not even a crumb on the floors or tables, everything was dusted, no smear marks or fingerprints on the glass, no flies or dirt anywhere, the bathrooms were great, everything smelled nice, trashes weren't even full- even the patio was so nicely kept. We loved the thoughtful touch of keeping books on display for members of the community to read while they're in there too! Nick was our barista, and they were solo-barring and just simply killing it. We just were so impressed with every detail of this store and the staff working (and we wish we remembered more of their names!!!) and wanted to say thank you to them for their hard work and displaying such a kind and warm work environment as a team of partners. I like Starbucks. I spend a lot of money with them and I don't mind because I appreciate the benefits they give their employees. This location however has the same reoccurring issues with drinks poorly made and less than helpful customer service. My drink today was incorrect and the employee just stared at me blankly when I complained and did not offer to fix anything. read more

This Starbucks is the worst I have ever been to. The drinks are sloppily made & the food is often stale or cold. This location is across from a school and gets a ton of business because of the school. It seems that they are just "dialing it in" because the school feeds their business. Several of the employees ruin the coffee drinking experience and ambience by laughing so loud my guests and I could not hear each other. Maybe a bit biased but this is my favorite Starbucks. I walk in and if I tell them I want something sweet, with caffeine, with whatever flavor.. They can typically whip something up that tastes amazing! They're also very friendly and love their job! Even on the busiest of days; they still find an extra second or two to ask how your day is going and genuinely care! They also have great tasting sandwiches like the bacon, egg and gouda cheese. Their cheese Danish is also amazing! You can have it toasted or not. Their strawberry Açai is also really good! I've even traveled to St. Louis and went to a Starbucks and their drinks and food doesn't even compare and that was in a 4 star hotel! They're even patient with you when you forget to load money on your account and you're sitting at the drive through trying to get your cell phone signal to work.
