Worst starbucks employee. Zero customer service. I walked in with my starbucks eco cup and it had coffee from the previous day. I wanted to reuse the cup and was told it needs to be clean. Um there is a sink behind you. She did not offer to rinse it. So I ended up getting a normal cup. She then fills it to the rim and i wanted to transfer to my cup. when I open the lid of course the offee spills over my hand, table and floor. She said ma'am you can't do that here you have to move it to the table behind. So I spill more coffee. What a disaster of a morning. Nope won't be coming here ever again. Girl that charged me was rude, mugged me when I ordered, I was going to get a pastry too and she didn't even say "anything else" when I got cookies she said "oh" then imputed it on the screen did not say anything after that not the total not have a good day nothing. The staff are always amazing. There's been a few drink mix-ups, sure, but none that haven't been fixed in some way. They forgot something in our drinks the other day, and it could have been added in, but they instead chose to completely remake the drinks free of charge and let us keep the other two as well. I leave with a smile on my face almost every time. Their laughter is definitely the only thing that's contagious--it's always kept very clean and sanitary. read more

This is the Starbucks inside of the Safeway. I am currently in a production at Cabrillo near this Safeway, so I have been frequenting the shopping center for about 2 and a half months now. Save your time and money and go to Aptos coffee next door if you want quality service and a great tasting drink. I am a big Starbucks fan (and used to work there as well). Three times now I have been very dissatisfied with the service. Every time I go in, there is the same young lady working...by herself. I think her name is something along the lines of Cheyenne. She does not have any urgency while she is working and she does not multitask making for VERY slow service. I had a treat receipt from earlier in the day and I decided to get myself a drink while in the store. I waited for what was a little over 5 minutes while she was talking and preparing a drink for a Safeway employee (she is often chatting with Safeway employees instead of focusing on the customers). She then proceeded to fix herself a cup of water before coming over to ask what I would like. She then explained to me that they do not accept those coupons. So instead of asking me what I wanted while the drink she was currently making was in the blender, I waited 5 plus minutes for her to tell me no. The last time I went in, same deal. She moves very slowly and does not multitask. The people in front of me ordered two frappuccinos...I knew I was in for a long wait again. Instead of taking my order while the drinks were in the blender, she stood there and waited for them to be done blending. When she finally asked me what I would like, I ordered a Iced Venti Cinnamon Chai Tea Latte. She started playing with her screen and I could tell she did not know what I was talking about. She asked again what I wanted. She then rang me up for a regular chai latte and said "So, you want cinnamon in it?". I then directed her to the menu that clearly reads "Cinnamon Chai Tea Latte". Her response? "No"....she just said no. Not "I am sorry we are currently not providing that". Just no. So, fine, just a regular iced chai tea latte. I had a box of wheat thins and asked her to ring those up as well. Her response? "I can't charge that here." My response? "Of course". So I then went to wait in a long line for a box of wheat thins. I also found out from a fellow actor, shortly after, that she has been rung up for Safeway items at the Starbucks before....awesome. The cherry on top of this horrible, no good, sundae? When I went back to pick my drink up, after waiting in a long long for a box of wheat thins, I noticed the drink looked very pale. I did not have the time to wait in line and have her make another, so I left. I paid $5 for sweetened milk. You can clearly see the difference in the photo I posted. The pictures were taken in the same light, in the same exact location and time of day. Also note that there is no name on the cup...which is standard Starbucks practice. I will NOT give this place another try. They need to do a better job at training there employees if they want to uphold the Starbucks brand. read more

It's a Starbucks like any other. There are so many other coffee places you could go if you are interested in local flavor. I like Pacific Coffee Roasters, Surf City, Cat and Cloud is my new favorite, and Verve is the big name around these parts. However, this is the only joint open until 9 pm around here (contrary to what Yelp says at the time of this posting) so it might be your only option, and there is nothing wrong with that. Whatever your reason for skipping our fantastic local offerings, don't feel too bad. There is nothing wrong with this place. Heck, I still come here on occasion. read more
