The staff here seem checked out and uninterested in helping customers. I had trouble using the touch screen ordering kiosk and asked the cashier for help instead. She sighed heavily, like helping me order was a huge inconvenience. Not a great experience, seems like the reviews on this place really matched out. read more

Jamba has really gone downhill. The prices have gone up, but the quality of the smoothies just isn't there anymore. They taste watered down and not as fresh as they used to. At this point, with what they're charging, you're better off going to a local juice or smoothie shop, you'll probably get better ingredients and flavor for the same price. Service was decent, but overall, not worth it anymore. read more

Came back to visit Santa Cruz and grabbed poke and a smoothie. I asked the cashier what was their most popular drink and they suggested the mango one: I am a big mango fan so this was perfect for me! It was tropical, not too sweet tasting. I might get these instead of my typical go getter. The shop is very clean and located in downtown San Jose. read more

The only reason I'm giving the store three stars because it was super busy this day and I am sure it was just because it was the pride festival in Santa Cruz and it was the end of the parade and everyone from the parades went in here as I did so that's the only reason the product was good of course always could be better because it melts a little too fast, but it was good. The time was OK, the lines, of course made a little crazy and there was way too many people for this location read more

Smoothie turned out so good! But the service, there was this lady that was not so nice. I just think people should be kinder.

Wow, I was overjoyed by the service I experienced here! I was welcomed right away and decided to look at the menu. I saw a smoothie option with chocolate and peanut butter and another option with strawberry and banana. I asked if they would be able to make one with banana and chocolate and they happily obliged. It was ready very quickly and the girl even said, "Have a great day, Erika!" It definitely made me smile and made me enjoy the drink that much more. The smoothie was absolutely delicious. read more

What a cool building this place is in, it's the first thing you see when you drive into downtown Santa Cruz. A strange triangle it may be but they are pretty efficient at serving up fresh fruit smoothies and the like. A recent trip there found me slurping up a smooth and creamy-cold Orange Dream Machine. Orange Juice, Orange Sherbet, Frozen Yogurt, Protein Powder, and Ice, deliscious! It was a nice treat in the afternoon after lunch. Besides smoothies they also have fruit bowls including Acia and Veggie options for the drinks. You can also get Vitamin and Nutrient additions to some of their creations. I'm more of a beer guy so you won't see me here too often but you should definitely give them a try! read more

As good as fresh can be. I have been coming here ever since they closed their location inside Safeway. I like the different smoothies and juice blends. My favorite is the Strawberry surf rider. The fresh ingredients really makes it delicious. For smoothies this is such a healthy place. They are very filling. I mostly come here during the morning before work or if I'm just in the mood for a smoothie. I am hooked and I can't praise Jamba juice enough, I love this place - this one particular location has sensational customer service. Everyone that works here is so welcoming, cheerful and very fast. You won't have to worry about waiting long for your order. Even when t's busy I get my drink in a timely manner. Thank you I will continue to support this location. read more

I don't really go to Jamba Juice in San Francisco where I live. I've only been to Jamba Juice a handful of times ever. I thought it was so exciting and new in the 90s when my sister took me in San Diego, but now I don't really care for the chain. The brand is not stale, but it's boring. However, it's nice to get a smoothie here every once in a while because they are good...except you are warned about how much SUGAR is in smoothies. I got the strawberry surfer today and it was a nice treat to end my day at the beach in Santa Cruz with David K. read more

I should've yelped this place before going,.I've been to many Jamba Juice locations and if they all use the same ingredients when it sucks is because of the staff,.I ordered a Açaí bowl that was like baby gerber food with fruit on top my plan was to go to Roxa but it was close so I ended up in this dump the girl that took the order was super rude the guy making the drinks in the back was throwing the blender cups like they were basket balls in to the sink save yourselves a headache and go somewhere else read more

My last time here, I wanted to redeem a birthday reward but it wasn't showing up on my system. I showed the cashier my email and it clearly wasn't expired. She asked another employee and they said it's been happening, so just give me the free drink. My drink was done really fast, like within a minute of ordering. Not only that, but my drink was very well blended, better than any other drink I've ever gotten at any Jamba Juice! 100% satisfied, best visit to Jamba I've ever had. read more

Very standard Jamba Juice but due to their location (downtown Santa Cruz) this place can get super packed. No customer bathroom at this location at all. I still prefer Mission Street Jamba Juice because they have much better customer service, quality control, and a better vibe in general but this is a good place to visit as well. read more

Cecilia (Celia?) is the best! Handled a rude aggressive customer with grace all while quickly making my drink!

My husband and I were shopping and strolling downtown and decided to stop in as we have done before. Without exaggeration, we were standing and waiting to place an order for a good ten minutes, and no one even glanced in our direction. There were several workers and no other customers waiting to order. One worker was on the phone, one was stocking shelves, two others were doing prep work and preparing orders. We waited patiently for the worker who was on the phone and when she hung up, she went in the back never to return. Finally I asked, "is this where you place your order?" A worker turned and said, "yes." At that point we were disgusted and left. That will be the last time we frequent this establishment. read more

Ordered a few smoothies online and was there at the time it said they would be ready. I checked the counter and did not see them. I waited 5 minutes because they were busy and I was a little bit early. When I go up to ask about my order I'm rudely told it's been taken to the back. When I ask why I'm told so they wouldn't melt. Now I wouldn't have minded except it was made out to be my fault because I didn't ask... that is exactly what I was doing. In fact I'm pretty sure they took my order to the back while I was sitting right there and did not call out my name. I let the lady know this and she proceeded to tell me I needed to ask for them.... with a ton of attitude. There is no sign anywhere or on the confirmation for your order that states you need to ask for it because it will be held in the back. I was literally there when I was told they would be ready. And now I realize they took my order to the back right in front of me without calling my name. Customer service here is kinda whack. I asked her to cancel my order because I felt uncomfortable with how she was talking to me and the matter of service. I'm hoping for a refund but who knows! I have a heart condition and honestly this whole situation made me feel like I needed to get out of there as quickly as possible. So stressful. I'll be reaching out to management or have my spouse do it because this whole this has been ridiculous. read more

I doubt that there's much difference from one Jamba Juice to another, though I noticed that the downtown Monterey one sometimes has a limited number of "special" drinks that are cheaper than the regular price. I enjoyed my super antioxidant smoothie (mostly berries of various kinds, I guess) with a protein boost (always tastes a bit chalky), and gf's parfait that I tasted was delicious [peanut butter, granola, sliced banana, yogurt(?)]--why don't *I* ever think of ordering anything other than a fruit smoothie? Call me jealous. read more

If I could give the service here a 0 I would. It is ridiculous to believe that I was treated bad because I am Mexican. I do not enjoy using the race card but I noticed how different Cece (the manager) attended someone from her same race very differently. I just moved to Santa Cruz, so I am touring the places around. I stopped at Jamba Juice for a drink. There was a promotion displayed I ask the young lady at the register a question, very nicely she said let me ask and Cece took over. We downloaded the app as she said, after that we ordered and we asked how the points worked since it is my first time at a Jamba Juice. She rudely scanned the points & maybe she thought she hid her annoyed face but she didn't. I guess the mask only covers so much right? After that we were just being watched maybe to see if we stole something or did something. There was a drink in the pick up section, my mother in law got up to check if it was hers since it was pretty loud in there you couldn't really hear names being called out and there was no one else inside but us. She rudely told my mother in law this was not hers the order was for someone else , and then followed by a question saying if we were that person. Cece then asked someone else to take it to the back as if we were going to take it somehow. Being the manager you would expect an example to give to others and the other employees, Cece is just not it. read more

I really enjoy Jamba Juice and especially when there is a deal going on like national smoothie day or emails sent. This place only got 4 stars because of its location. It is sometimes hard to get parking close since it's all meter parking and the parking garage lots aren't too close by since it's near the end on the street. Also the prices have gone way up so not as much for your buck. I recommend signing up for their rewards program to get points for your purchase. 1 point per dollar you spend. Redeem once at 35 points and get $3 off. It's not the greatest deal but at least a discount towards your purchase. The staff here is friendly so recommend this location. read more

Dearest Downtown Jamba Juice, We need to talk. Over the past few months, I've made several attempts to reconcile our differences. I've ordered smoothies without the ridiculous "Brr" charge you've tacked on to all of my favorites, I've even branched out and tried some of your newer concoctions. The things is, Downtown Jamba Juice, we got off on the wrong foot. The first time I came in for my quick smoothie fix, your line was out of control. It was clearly a busy summer day, but your staff was exanimate, enervated, and just lackluster all around. Nobody greeted me as I came in, and by the time I got to the counter to make my order, I'd lost most of my smoothie hankering. When my smoothie did arrive, it was poorly mixed, lumpy, tasted bitter, and it looked as if one of the girls assembling smoothies was having a very bad first day on the job. I forgive her. You, Jamba Juice, are not off the hook. As I'm so forgiving, I've made return trips, hoping that your track record would improve, but alas, each time I visit, I'm left disappointed, or with a (literally) bitter taste in my mouth. Add to this the difficulty of finding parking if I want to come down just for a smoothie, or the fact that your hours are surprisingly limited, and it all just means that I'm really disappointed in you. I guess that's why I only come here during desperate times now, and instead seek out other smoothie shops. The 3 star rating is because truly I love Jamba Juice, just not Downtown Jamba Juice. read more

This location is right downtown Santa Cruz and one of the most convenient locations being there's so few Jamba Juices in the area--especially since the mission location closed! I've been here a handful of times and it is rarely backed up or crowded so you can usually get your shake and snack and be out the door within 5 minutes, which is always nice. My two favorite drinks are the berry upbeet (all fruit and veggie and still so yummy) and the strawberries wild when I want something a little sweeter (also has frozen yogurt so a little less light!) and I always like to pair my drink with one of their always delicious pretzels which come in Apple cinnamon (sweeter) and the parmesan twist (more savory) and both flavors are DELICIOUS! read more

So many of you are probably wondering, "If she lives in Monterey, why is she writing a review on the Jamba Juice in Santa Cruz?" Well....it all began....... .......last Friday. Because, last Friday I got my wisdom teeth pulled. Yep. All FOUR of them. Hence I am writing about the smoothies, staying in Santa Cruz and, more importantly, writing a review on Yelp. Smoothies are good for you because: A) They are made from fruit. And fruit is good for your body. B) If made properly, they will contain only the naturally occurring sugars found in Milk, Fruit, and the other ingredients (ie. yogurt, tofu, etc...) C) If you have four holes in your mouth, and four stitches over those four holes, and your cheeks are swollen (so much so that you resemble your grandmother...or Margaret Cho's impression of her mother...) then its the perfect food. Easy to swallow, easy to digest. Easy in. Easy out. Well, now, I'm not a super "health-freak"; however, I am against artificial sweeteners and, well, "fake" in general. Jamba Juice uses Splenda, also known as Sucralose. On the upside, it uses a natural food coloring, Annatto. So, I wasn't too pleased to find that out. Although, all in all, Jamba Juice is a pretty good place to get smoothies. Any of the All-Fruit Smoothies have less than 50g of Sugar for the 16oz size (and they don't contain Sucralose) and the rest of the smoothies (Functional Flavors, Classics, and Good Moo'ds) are pretty healthy. Just be careful when ordering a Jamba Light...Sucralose and a lot of Sodium. On another note, the parking is nil and they are a little under-staffed.... Oh yes, and Vicodin makes it very difficult to write a review because ones train of thought is nil. Just like the parking at Jamba Juice. Well...I'll probably weed through this after the Vicodin wears off and the swelling goes down. But, til then, this is all you get...sorry ;) -m read more

I showed up to this Jamba Juice 30 minutes before closing time to pick up a smoothie for my brother who had just gotten out of surgery. As stated online and on the doors they were still far from closing time so I tried to open the doors and they were locked. I saw the lady working there poke her head out and hide in the back room after making eye contact with me. I then proceeded to try and call them 5-6 times to see if there procedures are different now due to Covid and are possibly only allowing pickup outside ?? however , they ignored all my calls as well, while I knew they were still in there !! How rude and disrespectful , I've been coming here since I was a kid but not again. I hope whoever worked the shift tonight on 10/23 , that your supervisor reads this !!! read more

I love Jamba Juice. You love Jamba Juice. We all love Jamba Juice. This location is everything you expect a Jamba Juice to be, all centrally located downtown. Only bad thing is that there's always a line. Sometimes all the way out the door... What To Look For While You Wait For Your Smoothie: Look out the big windows and watch all the people walk by! Then go sit out there under a giant yellow umbrella. read more

Standard Jamba Juice, as far as I've seen, except the juice bar does not include items that are otherwise all over their printed menus and posters (lemons and cucumbers, for example.) The staff were polite, helpful and professional, so five stars for them. About one star for whatever disconnect allowed printed in-store materials that get you craving certain ingredients only to find out that they don't provide them at this location. The juice we did order was delicious. If this location stocks more of the juicing ingredients I'd be very happy to give them more stars. read more

It's been a pretty consistent jamba juice, decent service, decent smoothies, seems pretty clean and well is all decent. First and foremost, the Jamba stores in Santa Cruz are franchised and not part of the main chain of Jamba Juice like the ones in larger cities (ie. San Francisco & San Jose). The staff are friendly and accommodating, BUT that is all. Service is slow and they look lost every time I order something from the menu... I've been here a few times and finally Yelping it now. The first time around, my drink was okay, but now it SUCKS. The blended concoctions are tasteless, bland and the like. I've tried both Santa Cruz Jamba juice locations, and guess what? Both weren't that great. Shoulda just went with a cheap soda elsewhere. They don't know how to make a Thank You Jesus, White Gummy, Red Gummy or a simple Caribbean Passion. Like wtf! I definitely don't recommend the Jamba Juices in Santa Cruz to be a place to go to on a hot day. It is healthy, but the taste will definitely make waste. read more

AMBIANCE: Lovely location. The space is also very pretty. It was quite quiet when I dropped in on a Saturday afternoon. SERVICE: Very friendly. I didn't have any issue with the amount of time it took to make my smoothies (less than 5min), but perhaps that was aided by the fact that it was pretty empty inside. They were very accommodating with my smoothie subs. FOOD: Tastes the same as other Jambas. OVERALL: Jamba smoothies hold a special place in my heart, and will always be a go to when I'm searching for a refreshing beverage on a hot day. I have no problem coming back if I'm in the area. read more

My carrot juice was chunky and overpriced (6 USD for like 10 oz?). I have only been inside here a few times before, nothing special. I have been to this Jamba location once with a few friends, and didn't have any problems with my drink or service. Most Jamba Juice experiences end up being pretty standard, nothing too out of the ordinary. And I'll rarely ever come to any store during the winter. Nonetheless, this location is quite the downtown icon as you can see from the picture. I think I remember this place even having a bathroom, which is uncommon for most Jambas.
