Their signature drink. Strong w a hint of sweetness.
Zin M.

Had their signature drink- black tie. Strong w a hint of sweetness. Not many people here at 1pm on Saturday. Service was good & quick. Husband got caramel macchiato which he loves. Love that they use paper straws! :) hopefully in the future we'll all use biodegradable cups too, perhaps bamboo or something similar :)

It would be nice if they're gonna do deep cleaning of the restroom

It would be nice if they're gonna do DEEP CLEANING of the restroom, i'm a regular customer here at Peet's Capitola for 3 years, i've never experienced a clean restroom here.

Toilet filth, trash everywhere and floor wet...

This place should be reported to the health department. The bathroom was appalling! Worse than a third world country side street! How could an employee working here allow this. It was obvious that it had been ongoing for awhile. Management needs to be overlooked. Won't be back here. Don't want anyone's hands on my drinks. Sorry. Shouldn't be one star.

Matcha frappuccino. Pretty much the best thing ever. I try to get one of these twice a week

If you want good coffee and tea in Capitola, come here! The blended Matcha frappuccinos are delicious and their berry crumble bars are very good. The employees are friendly and kind. The only con is that the menu is kinda limited. Overall though, this Peet's is a great place to come if you want great coffee and a good, cute environment.

Looking through the front window!

I LOVE that this place is open so early 7 days a week. Not only is the food and coffee great the staff and baristas are SUPER friendly! I just moved to Capitola and I believe I have found my new home!

please, please I absolutely love this place. There is always a line. Please don't go here.... LoL!…read more I wanna be able to come in and get a coffee quick and relax. This place has great food and people are attentive to detail. The coffee has a really unique taste. It doesn't taste so dark and so like cooked like other places do it's it's got a really nice smooth flavor. I hope everybody will try it. Also the names of your coffee the food the atmosphere. It makes it really fun. I know that it's a small shop it probably only seats maybe 25 people inside and outside but what a great experience. I've been there four times now in the last two weeks and I've brought a lot of my friends. I continue to look forward to coming. Thank you so much for your attention to detail. Please keep up the good work. The only change I would make is to ad hair nets to those preparing the food but a lot of places don't have this so that's just me. when you are there, be sure to say hi to someone in line to find out how long they've been going to the coffee shop what they think what the best things are and post it because I would love to know which of the many coffee flavors and food items are the best tasting thanks

They use single origin light-medium roast beans at their coffee bar and sell bags for home, too. I only use their beans at home. Their quad-shot latte with whole milk is banger. Ps. This is the areas spot for just extremely good unadulterated espresso coffees, done right. No noobs.

We walked in as a family (me, husband, our baby) and while we were deciding what to order husband asked for the restroom code. The tall male employee looked us up and down and said so, you gonna buy some coffee? Husband said yes...why? The employee said "I just need to know if you're planning on buying something or just here to use the restroom . " Why would we come up to the counter , peruse the menu and bring the baby inside if that was our only goal? It was so off-putting. Anyhoo, the interior was nice all black and some sort of rock/ metal playing. There's magnetic tiles to Create your own conspiracy or statement and other conspiracy type decor . I got a 5G is killing our bees which was nice and smooth flavored espresso drink and husband tried the NZT 49 which he liked. but only thing is we regretted not trying a black cold brew or shot of espresso to really taste their coffee. Maybe next time. And hopefully next time that particular employee will chill out a little bit on their restroom. Might I add, this was my 2nd attempt to go to this location. The first time they were randomly closed at 1230pm. Wish they would at least post a heads-up online or something.

I could taste everything without any particular flavor overpowering the others. Also got the Works Burrito for $16, which includes chorizo and avocado. I think it's a good price point. The burrito is huge so I shared with my boyfriend. He also had the breakfast bagel which he enjoyed. Picked up an extra bagel to-go and sped off. Great stop to make when passing through Santa Cruz.

I honestly had no idea this place was here... and with bagels! I don't get bagels locally because, well, just because. I happily ordered us coffee and bagels. Now, bear in mind, we roast our own coffee, so to us, the coffee was on the "good" side of Ok. The bagels, on the other hand, were delicious! And boy, do they pack on the cream cheese (maybe enough for 3 bagels depending on one's preference)! Service was friendly and fast. And all the people coming and going were very pleasant - there were plenty of them. The sitting area outside next to the road is pretty small (next to a dumpster, I think), and my guy was having some mobility challenges (on crutches, etc.). Folks in the neighboring table were so kind and accommodating, voluntarily standing up so that he could maneuver into a seat. We went back the following week (yes, another medical appt), and this time they were out of the bagels we wanted, so note to self... get there early if you want a favorite bagel. We will definitely be back to Firefly for the bagels! Have I said "bagels" enough times already?

You can always appreciate the laid-back being anywhere in Santa Cruz or Capitola. They are right on a main street with parking in the back and they have a cute outside seating area with chairs and umbrellas. It's a pretty large and nice size coffee shop with ample seating and an extended couch/booth area. They have a lot of outlets to do work quietly or to read or charge your phone. I really like that they close at 6 PM too a lot of coffee shops close at three or four. If you're here long enough and haven't eaten, they sell food and snacks. Also a pretty good option of beverages like coconut water, soda, waters, and smoothies, or plain sodas. You can come in and get a soup or some cookies, a protein bar, or, some bagels- they legit have it all. I haven't tried anything food or coffee wise, but my Italian soda is pretty delicious. The two cashiers were really nice and everyone just seems to be on the best chill vibes. I will definitely save this place and return in the future. Their specialty coffees look delicious and are just my vibe and I can't wait to try them when the weather gets colder.
