Ordered a turkey sandwich at 1:45 pm before work and I picked it up and it was completely wrong. Just egg on a sandwich with cheese and pesto? Did not have time to go back and get the correct sandwich as I had work at 2. Since I ordered on the app, I went to leave a review/hopefully get a refund. No spot for a review or to say if something was wrong with the order or anything. The only option it gave me was to call the store so I called while at work and there was no answer. I called again, they picked the phone up and hung up immediately, before I could even say hello or anything. Mind you when I had went in there 15 minutes earlier there were maybe 2 people in there and they had already got their items and were sitting, so they weren't too busy to answer the phone. Never ended up getting to talk with anyone who worked there and got a refund or any sort of compensation for the $7 sandwich that I ordered. I do work in the food industry, so I know that if I had eaten the sandwich I was given I wouldn't be able to get a refund anyways, but I didn't eat it so literally anything else would've been nice. Incredibly inefficient, impolite, lacking typical Starbucks courtesy and quite slow. We order the clovers very often and we are always made to feel as though our order is a hassle. One time, our coffee even sat there getting cold as a barista went to go count money, another stood nearby chatting with the person on the espresso machine. My boyfriend had to go around and grab his own lidless coffee. They are often out of the special blends (kind of funny because those are the most expensive, wouldn't they want to stock them?) Furthermore, when I have asked for room in my cup, I received it so full it splashed all over the counter. Not an ideal situation for someone who has yet to have their first cup of coffee. I truly hope someone steps in and saves this location, it is the closest clover location to us and we love the company overall (and ALL of the other stores we frequent.) read more

As I've said in a review on another Starbucks location, I give Starbucks 4 stars in general and then take away or add depending on my experience. Why did this location lose a star? I'll tell you. When I order an iced coffee, DO NOT put it in the queue for the barista to pour who's already got seven lattes she working on. I waited 18 minutes for my iced coffee which takes approximately 18 seconds to prepare. Finally, I lost my patience and asked the cashier if my order had gotten lost in the shuffle. She apologized and poured it herself. Why couldn't the cashier just have done that in the first place?! They pour the hot coffee, why not the iced? Is there special training required to pour iced coffee? I don't get it and this is not the only location this has happened. I actually submitted feedback via starbucks.com I was so annoyed by this. I was going to knock off two stars for the inconvenience and annoyance, but I kept it to three because the place was mobbed and the baristas were clearly working their butts off trying to keep up with the orders. read more

I go to Starbucks in Andover MA weekly and N. Andover on Fridays on my way home at noontime. Their baristas are some of the hardest workers in the coffee business, and all their takeouts or sit-ins (!) have lots to pick from on the menu, as well as takeout sandwiches, some candy and tons of desserts---usually picked through by post lunchtime. I always get the same thing: tall coffee, with 2 pumps of mocha, and usually a snack or something bigger. They are without question, the most polite, quick thinking staff I have ever seen, and when something is not right, they are eager to correct it. Hard, dedicated servers!! My only complaint, is that the North Andover Starbucks, on Rte 114, does not answer a phone---- EVER. I lost my purse there, and had to re-travel 7 + miles to see if it was safely hidden. It was, thankfully, and another person found it, gave it to a staff member and put it behind the counter til I arrived. read more

The new manager if this location is so on top of things! She really makes you feel welcome and is pleasant even when the store is clearly very busy and she is juggling many other drinks and tasks. The staff are all like able and seem to mesh well together, and they make a mean latte! Jesse always greets me with a smile and many of the staff always remember my drink. I'm actually pretty upset about my most recent experience with this store. My co-workers and I generally make Starbucks runs to this locations since we're about a 7 minute drive away. In the past, I haven't had any issues but today they managed to screw up an extremely simple order. My co-worker made the run and had a piece of paper with (legibly) written out orders. Mine was a venti non-fat cappuccino. Somehow they managed to screw that up and gave me a non-fat Frappuccino. I don't even know what flavor it is and a flavor isn't specified on the order sheet....did they magically pull it out of a hat? On top of this, I'm diabetic and just looked up the nutritional information for a vanilla frappuccino (which I'm assuming this is)....31 grams of sugar. Send me to my deathbed why don't you. I understand that Cappuccino and Frappuccino look identical but for god's sake, read the order sheet. We already made it dummy proof. Not to say that I wouldn't return to this location seeing as it's the closest one, but I might write my orders out (should I ever have to do that again) in BIG. BLOCK. I'm not just a fan, but rather a devoted fan of this location and the staff that works here. I frequent this location almost daily, sometimes stopping quickly for a takeout order, sometimes dropping by to stay awhile to chat with friends or read the paper. This location is one of only a few stores to offer the clover product line (a high-performance, french-press process). My favorite is the hazelnut sumatra, It is worth the trip, and the reason for my daily visits. This Starbucks is friendly, comfortable and is located adjacent to a Bruggers Bagel Shop. Customers move, quite freely, back and forth enjoying both a beverage and a breakfast sandwich. If you're in the area, stop-by and try it, you'll like it. read more

This location is a very busy location with lots of downtown Andover business' adjacent and surrounding. There is absolutely no parking nearby and I park down around the corner and walk, as I am not lazy and there are wonderful little boutiques, like Dresscode, and salons, like Indra with what look like movie stars working there and patroning them, needless to say a very busy little area, especially M-F 9-5, with always people in line there. That being said, I fight the downtown Andover traffic when I dont have to, I fight to find a parking space in Little San Fran (1/3 parking spaces for 3/3 of cars), and walk in sometimes blizzards to go here, why you ask? Because of Liz and her staff, most attentive to detail and customer-centric focused establishment going, they even try to remember your name and call you by it if possible, thats Liz but it trickles down to everyone. They handle a lot of people a lot of the time, I can imagine if you worked at starbucks and transferred here, hahaha culture shock for sure, Merrimack Valley people "want there G Damned hot coffee, yesterday!" first thing in the mornings round these parts and these people cart us in and out like pro cattle rustlers with manners, they are a machine and focused, they couldnt survive here otherwise. If Liz isnt directing traffic, picking up a register when needed (a lot), wiping down tables or cleaning the half/half container if it needs it or whatever else she does, shes making sure plain old regulars, like Shipley over here, feel welcomed and happy to spend our money in such a fine establishment with such caring staff. I even had the stones to tell Liz she should be manager, hahaha she told me that she was, I had no idea as you would never tell, well you would see her assert herself at work and as a human being and notice an exemplary driven employee. I never met any of these people previously or Liz before this, i just thought excellence should be recognized, not just expected......like some in Andover, not most, but SOME, let's say.......this is just how I see it, nothing more, nothing less.....P read more

If you haven't had a Starbucks coffee you must live under a rock...so this is not a review about the coffee but about the location and its service. This Starbucks in Andover is always busy, basically because of the location to Philips Academy and it's the only one in the town...And no matter if it's snowy, rainy or sunny outside it's jammin'! Even tho they are busy the line moves pretty well. I have always had service with a smile, which sounds corny, but it's relevant if you are having a Meh day. Coffee is always good and exactly as you order it. They are always stocked with the condiments (is it called that for sugar and milk?) and it's always clean. The location's atmosphere is good too.. a good mix of families, students and adults doing their own thing...seating at both ends and a bar. i'm a Starbucks whore, but I give props to other companies brewing coffee that isn't shit like Dunkin' Donuts. Starbucks is the coffee equivalent of an airport terminal: they all look the same, they all have the exact same features, perks, and amenities and you are meant to forget where you are and stay comfortable on you trip. Keeping that in mind, all Starbucks everywhere should rate the same. I would give this Starbucks a bump because they were really nice and unlike in New York, there were no homeless people living in the corner. My family and I stopped into this particular location to pass the afternoon and play bridge. No one bothered us or tried to stop our card game so it was kind of awesome. read more

My wife and I have often walked in, assessed the dismal availability of seating, and walked right out without ordering anything. Although the early morning team gets 5 stars, the 1:30 team today gets one. I was on my lunch break, short of time... The girl waiting on me was clueless, while the rest of the (all young) girls were gathered up behind the counter and taking selfies and chatting up a storm!!! All I wanted was egg on a bagel or flatbread. The young girl said they didn't have that and they'd have to take apart a pre made!! I asked her to ask someone who might be able to help her... But the girls were too busy yapping, so she didn't ask for help ... So I saw a flatbread "sample" in the front case with egg, cheese, and roasted red peppers so I asked for that (which was next to a sign for egg-white bites apparently)... So now I'm waiting way too long for that group goofing off to make my sandwich... INSTEAD I finally got two "egg white bites"... Now I'm fuming and another girl keeps asking me more than once what I ordered... I snapped!! I'm usually tolerant and patient when mistakes happen, but this was ridiculous. The only team member doing his job at the time was the lone young man. No wonder the poor girl waiting on me got it wrong: she probably couldn't hear me over her noisy coworkers, taking those selfies behind the counter... Love the ambience, there's a lot of old fashioned woodwork at this branch. This is the most charming Starbuck's I've been to. I spent over an hour seated comfortably there on a Sunday night playing a board game. The coffee was good and the service was cordial and friendly. Better attitude among employees than I've seen at any other Starbucks. No one rushed us out at closing, or seemed to be annoyed at our presence. Too bad it's so far. Andover's got class! read more
