Ahi Tuna poke 1 Fish Bowl
    Adrienne L.

Stopped in for lunch for the first time. The man behind the counter (other reviews called him rude, I thought he was super-friendly and helpful. You get what you expect.) helped me order my bowl. I opted for all of the "sides/toppings", ahi tuna, and the sweet/spicy Samurai sauce. I'm so glad I chose that sauce- Im not sure I'd enjoy a creamy, Mayo sauce with raw fish and veg, but that's me. The bowl was delicious. It was fresh, colorful, vibrant, and had every taste and texture I was craving. I'll definitely come back! So delicious and the ingredients are good for you.

I ordered online - it was delivered quickly. The "spring mix" veggies ended up being iceberg lettuce, that was a little bit off a let down. It was very dense, heavy on the rice and light on the fish. Overall, not bad.

This is not a typical poke place! Interesting Star Wars theme in a tiny shopfront across the street from Costco serves a few poke options with a slightly confusing menu. You place your order and then the girl at the front brings the order ticket to the guy in the back, who makes your food, and then the girl goes back to get it and brings it out. It is basically standing room only, which is hard to tell from the photos others have posted. I was here when two other people were waiting for orders and there wasn't room for all of us to maintain proper social distancing measures of 6' apart while also keeping 6' away from the cashier. Parking is odd..you have to turn at the light and then immediately go into the next driveway. If you see the Costco gasoline line of cars on your left you've gone too far. Once parked you have to walk up the hill and out to the light and turn left. The tiny shopfront is the second on the left. The food was decent, although the toppings part of the menu was confusing. I started listing the items I wanted and the girl cut me off saying you get all the items. I was like great, but I don't want all the items.. anyway I was able to tell her what I didn't want and she put the order in. It only took about ten minutes and then I was out of there. I got the shrimp when I realized I couldn't see the fish in a clear case in front of me. I wouldn't ever get raw fish in a small shop without first being able to see it so that was a real problem for me here. Other than that the food was okay but a bit pricey for what it was. You can get the same bowl with more protein on it in downtown Seattle for the same price.

Pleasantly surprised at this poke shop! I got a 2 fish bowl and if you want another scoop it's $1 more. It comes with all the toppings with no limit or extra charge besides avocado! Other stores charge for a limited amount so it was nice that they asked instead, "what don't you want." They ran out of the flowers, so it would have been nice to know what that tasted like. But I came during Halloween so they gave us gummy bears as a nice little treat. The chalkboard with the menu was very busy and hard to read, so you're better off reading off their menu cards. The restaurant is tiny and no dine in at this time. The poke instead was pretty solid and filled me up. Th sauce was a nice combo of sweet and spicy and either over powered the other. The decor of the place was kind of odd. Star Wars and k-pop seemed to be the reoccurring theme with even life sized characters on display. But did you know the vape shop next door, Star Vape, connects? Sounds like it was a expansion. An odd expansion, but they do make good poke!

Update: Since my last review, I have tried a number of other poke places and have found that Star Poke is slowly dropping out of the ranks. My last bowl I got, I decided to splurge on the extra avocado for $1.50 and they gave me one little slice that was evident they just scraped off the skin. The portion of fish was much smaller than I get at other places, and I'm pretty sure they over charged me. The menu listed a 2-protein bowl as $12, plus $1.50 for avocado, yet somehow I was charged $16.01. Last time I checked, tax is not 20%, so I guess they're skimming some money from customers on top of tips. Avoid this place.

some gnarly $3 avocado drowning in mayonnaise.

Truly awful. I ordered via uber eats so it was already quite overpriced, but I understand that you're paying for convenience there, not a big deal. I paid an extra $3 for avocado, which was extremely browned and tasted like it's been sitting in the trunk of someone's car for a week-- absolutely rancid. Bowl was 90% floppy lettuce, drowning in "spicy" mayo that didn't taste like anything, and had about 8 small cubes of tuna-- which were hard in a way that I'm pretty sure poke shouldn't be.

Aha Tuna and Salmon. $16. Located on Aurora. When you enter the restaurant is themed Star Wars hence the name Star Poke. Be aware of Jar Jar Binks. There are two counter tops you can dine in, no tables. It's very small, about 300 sq feet in space. The dish. Salmon, tuna, cucumber, avocado, Lima beans, crab salad, ginger, pineapple, seaweed salad and other (crunchy stuff?). Definitely a lot of different taste in one dish, but it's delicious. Use the ginger to reset taste buds. Customer service is pleasant. Asked me if everything was okay and said thank you when I left. 9/10 due to the delicious dish, customer service, positive and bright atmosphere.

I've been trying local poke place when i had a chance and finally had chance to try star poke. Very good portion with variety of side menus. Fresh ingredients and it tastes awesome. Tried ahi and salmon with all the sides included. Portion is huge and reasonable pricing. Will be back for more!

I ordered 1lb of ahi and reviewed a container that weight 12oz. After removing the fish from the container I received only 10oz. Pretty disappointed for the $8 difference between 1/2 and 1 lb. I ordered the ahi naked so I could marinate it myself so not sure if that had an effect or not but still sad. The fish had several fatty pieces that I couldn't chew. Ended up tossing over 1/4 of the container with bad pieces. Really disappointed overall considering Costco is across the street a with better value and tasting product.

    Eel bbq bowl

I ordered eel bbq bowl and its above average, nothing impressive. The veggies did looked fresh. They made the order correctly. However, for the price, the portion is too small. I was not full at $15. Also, I think they included tips in the total amount already. Because sale tax cant be 25%. I felt something off but not sure until home.

    3 fish poké bowl

Not sure why they had so many poor reviews!!!! It seems like most of the issues were with Uber Eats and Grubhub. This place serves excellent quality Poké at a reasonable price. Great customer service! The dude behind the register is righteous: "May the force be with you." Loved the 3 fish poké bowl! The fish was fresh and the BBQ eel was fatty and delicious! Loved the Lava sauce. It's not too spicy like some folks complained. The crispy onions were a nice crunch with the furikake. Edemame and cucumbers were crunchy and refreshing! Note: Parking is in back then you need to walk around to the front. My only complaint: Only about 9-10 bar seats so not "famIly friendly" with tables. I will definitely come back!

See that brown over marinaded brown fish? Thats tuna

The rice was a mushy rice ball. The Fish was over seasoned. The ingredients were not fresh or unique, tasted like they picked up pre-made ingredients from Costco. Service weird and somewhat rude. Will not be back nor do I recommend this place.

    Shrimp and eel poke
    Mandy G.

Small poke restaurant on Highway 99. Easy to miss. We discovered it on our way to the Raise and Shine bakery. Cute decorations, full of Star Wars memorabilia. The place seems clean as well. The staff is friendly and nice. I ordered shrimp and eel poke, and with pretty much everything they offer on top. They offer a lot of toppings and they make the bowl very full. I like the varieties in my rice bowl, and all the ingredients seem fresh and crisp. To sum up, good poke place. I will come back when I'm in the neighborhood in the future.

12 ounces of salmon - counting the container and several ounces of onion at the bottom

All the staff were pretty chill and nice. Love all their smiles. I got my favorite, Beef Stew. I ordered this often in Lynnwood site, especially when I was sick. Regarless, it's on different location, the taste is the same! So, I'm happy about it. The vibe is completely different than Lynnwood one. This restaurant is darker and guests are way louder. Mostly, university students, I think. I like dim light atmosphere, unfortunately, I can't enjoy it much here. Too loud? Too dark? Or it's just not the right light bulbs, it got me dizzy. It was at night, it made the room even gloomy. Upon returning to the parking lot, the atmosphere is somewhat unsettling. This is particularly true for a woman walking alone. To access the parking lot, I had to walk through the darkness to the back of the building. Unfortunately, due to the narrow parking lot, one car was parked in a manner that blocked the exit way, requiring me to reverse all the way out. Overall fantastic staff, fantastic food, but I may not comeback because the vibe just doesn't suit me. This restaurant will most likely be very busy in the better location and fresh look.

I love the self serve sauces and the sambal is really balanced. It wasn't super hot and it gave the food a nice kick. It tasted house made and it wasn't sweet like the sambal bottle with the rooster. I love the mahi mahi and it's my go to. I enjoy the grill in the fish and the best part is the garlic and oil mixture that soaks in the rice. The beef is generous and we always have left overs. The cut is lean and the marinate is nice and sweet but not overly sweet where I'm feeling like I'm eating a teriyaki Oberto jerky. The slaw is always balanced and there is a unique ingredient which I can't pinpoint which makes it savory and unlike other slaw I've had which is super creamy and mayonaisy. The shrimp is always perfect and can't believe how generous the portions are. The best part is the fried garlic which are crispy and really enjoyable to eat after the shrimp. It's like the icing on the cake. The pad se ew was ok. I liked the balance of the sauce and the spice level. The chicken was a little overcooked in the stir fry. I felt the fried rice was bland and both the noodle and the rice seemed more like sides as opposed to the fish and meats which are the stars. No complaints and just observations. The service is always great and I appreciate the consistency each time, hard work, and community love that I see from customers, and take out orders. If I could suggest one thing. Thankfully dine-in is back open again, so we got here on a Saturday morning around 11:20am to indoor seating that was nearly full and a small line that was forming at the front counter. Walls have a bunch of photo frames, and overall place felt very homely. They have a ton of Hawaiian style plates and even burgers and some seafood, though we and most others got the former to eat. I ordered their chicken and pork combo Hawaiian style plate, and my bestie got their chicken katsu Hawaiian style plate. Portions are huge for both plates and both also came with macaroni salad. They give you sooooo much meat no matter what you get. To go in slightly more detail: - Chicken and pork combo: both meats were flavored very well, and a little sweet too though pretty salty without using the rice as a palette cleanser. Chicken had more depth in its flavor; the pork's flavor was a little too much for my liking, and was slightly harder to chew. Both meats had some sauce hat went onto the rice itself. This didn't detract from my overall experience here, though. - Chicken katsu: we both agreed this was our favorite after exchanging pieces of each other's dish. The katsu is crispy and crunchy, and the chicken itself retained a lot of its juiciness. Katsu sauce on the side is honestly optional since the meat itself is already salty enough. This place does share extremely limited parking with Cakes of Paradise next door, so get here early or be prepared to drive around the area to find some. Parking is scarce, so plan ahead and be patient. We came on a Wednesday and happened to score a parking spot right in front of the bakery. Once you arrive, get in line immediately--there will be one. The woman taking our order was incredibly peppy and friendly, even while juggling everything: taking in-person orders, answering phones, serving customers, and bagging food. Seriously impressive. All the seats were filled, so we ordered everything to-go. We got the famous crispy ginger chicken, spam musubi, and chicken long rice. I was hoping for oxtail soup and asked about it--she explained they only offer it on certain days and recommended calling early in the morning to check, then getting there quickly because it sells out fast. Can't wait to come back and try it. Back at the hotel, we feasted. The crispy ginger chicken is famous for a reason--so flavorful, perfectly crispy, and somehow even better the next day. The chicken long rice was packed with noodles directly in the soup (not separately) so the broth had mostly soaked into the noodles, but it was still deeply flavorful and comforting. The spam musubi leans on the sweeter side, which is great if that's your thing. Overall, this place is all about heart, hustle, and seriously satisfying Hawaiian comfort food. Come early, expect a line, plan for parking--and you'll be rewarded.

The Kahlua pork bowl had pork, but also what tasted like loco Moco gravy... which was a good gravy, but not what we really wanted on top of Kahlua pork. When we saw that it came with "gravy" for the bowl description on the menu, I was thinking it would taste something more like the pork itself. Also, it was heavy on the rice. Lastly, the guava cake had a nice soft airy texture... but not enough guava flavor. It is huge, but mostly air. We didn't order it to-go, but it came in a to-go container rather than on a plate. I opted for the laulau plate which came with the requisite two scoops steamed rice and one scoop mac (Hawaiian style macaroni salad) with a sizeable laulau. I unwrapped the outer ti leaves and cut into the taro leaves (steamed like spinach) to reveal succulent pork and tender butterfish inside. This was great with a little added shoyu. Spot on delicious! The ice water also hit the spot. Perfectly chilled without any aftertaste from a pitcher. None of that tepid water in a stoppered top glass bottle or carafe. Refreshing! Overall satisfying meal at a reasonable price.

I was craving barbeque food. I found this restaurant on Yelp when I was in the area. As soon as I…read morewalked in I was surprised. There were a lot if people inside! That's a great sign. The staff was so nice & friendly. I noticed they just had big orders and it's lunch time, so the wait time was quite long. However, I'm happy because the food are pretty good. The portion is big. The price is reasonable. I believe because all of these reasons, people are keep coming. Recommended!

I had never eaten here before. I love the Hawaiian food in Marysville but I have a lot of door dash…read moregift cards, so we went looking for a place to have food delivered somewhat late on May 10th. The online menu asked what two sides you want with the Loco Moco. It showed a plate with two burgers, two eggs on a large bed of rice plus gravy...and what looks to be macaroni salad for 13.75. It asks what you want for your first side. It asks what you want for your 2nd side. I am guessing you get 2 sides with the rice/burgers. I was not real sure. So I asked for 2 sides of macaroni. It asks for mini or 2.50 for regular. I am thinking they will give you reg. side macaroni for 2.50 more. I go back and ask for mini. I do not need that much macaroni. Very disappointed to open the take out container to find zero rice and one small burger with an egg sitting in gravy and 2 sides of macaroni. They need to make this more clear. You only get 2 burgers and eggs if you add 2.50 (regular size). If you choose mini its not for the size of the sides but way less meat. I believe the photo and wording were very misleading. We also ordered Mochiko Chicken....Macaroni salad and broccoli, also a mini. I had it once before, somewhere else, and loved it. Ordered a Hawaiian Chicken BBQ plate, again mini and 2 sides. Did not like either of them. Hawaiian chicken BBQ was like a chicken thigh flattened with soy sauce maybe...no sweetness etc. They both kind of tasted the same. My 2 adult kids barely ate any of it. This was a real treat for us on a very sad day and it was not what we were expecting.....The macaroni salad was just ok...if I added salt. Said We could save 15% with ordering more so we ordered the won tons. They did not come with sweet and sour sauce but sweet chili sauce. I did not care for it at all with the fried won tons. I will not be ordering from again.

This spot was recommended to me by a friend. The interior of the restaurant was warm and very decorated. There were a lot of Hawaiian cultural references, which added to the ambiance. The staff were so friendly and very helpful. And despite it being super busy the day that I went, they were all patient with each customer. I had a few samples of their fish, and let me tell you, the fish is FRESH. I am usually picky with tuna because they tend to have a fishy taste, but Ono's tuna was NOT fishy at all. Also, all the different flavors of poké were seasoned PERFECTLY. I got the spicy salmon and the scallop poke. They were both buttery and tender. The flavors did not overtake the natural flavor of the fish, and the sauce was seeped deep into the salmon; the same goes for the scallop. Sometimes at poké restaurants the sauce will sit on top of the fish, but NOT HERE. This place is genuinely SO SO good. I highly recommend coming to this place and trying their poké! + This place is so good that I am willing to make the trip out to this place if I am ever back in this state.
