I have been going to Christina for YEARS. Special occasions, me time, events with and for my kids. So much so that my oldest got me a mani/pedi gift card for my birthday this year thinking I would like to finally get back into a salon. I made an appointment but when my kid got hurt at volleyball this spring I missed the appointment. Christina called to remind me which should have been a nice gesture. I apologized and explained that I was at the doctor with my kid. She yelled at me for being inconsiderate and when I told her I could not talk, she hung up on me. I get that COVID hurt a lot of small businesses, but I have done my best to support local all the way through. I was not trying to skip out and I would think my years of patronage would support that I honor my appointments. Christina will not pick up the phone now when I call. I stopped in to see if I was imaging things and I was not, she is not interested in my business anymore, told me I should have called her if I wanted to cancel. Yes, in a world where an injured kid does not matter I should have. I asked if she could reimburse my kid for the money they spent on the gift card since she does not want me as a customer anymore. She said no and that I was in her store bothering her which is further indication of why she does not want my business anymore. I will be following up with the better business bureau. I never write reviews, good or bad, but I live in town and I think it is important to spread the word. I just asked for my kid to be reimbursed for trying to do something nice for me. She is exceptional at her craft and takes the necessary time to do an amazing job on my feet. She provides guidance on how I can take care of my feet between pedicures to ensure I maintain healthy nails. She is a true professional and highly recommended. Got my nails done here today for a wedding tomorrow and so glad I chose to do so. Pedicure was perfect, gel manicure was perfect. The ladies listened to what I wanted and helped me choose neutral colors that would match my dress. Everyone was attentive and kind. All tools were clean and new. I wasn't rushed; the woman who did my nails/toes was careful and thorough. Not really much more I could ask for. I'm really picky when it comes to how my nails look and I have no complaints here at all!! I'm glad I picked this salon as I know there are others in the area. Worst experience ever. Sat down to get nails done and the tech said she can do the pink and whites and then proceeded to talk about air brush and said can she try it on one of the nails I said sure. She then proceeded to airbrush the rest of my nails and I didn't like those she then was going to continue to do the airbrush and I said I only wanted pink and white fills and I'm not sure she understood so the manager or owner came over and I explained to her and after explaining it she told the tech something in their language which is very rude I must say because if you don't know the language they can easily be talking about you when they messed it up from the beginning and I really believe they didn't know how to fix it so I said just forget it and was leaving we left 40 on the counter for what they messed up and it's not for what they did it's for them to start a fund on how to do nails class because they do not have a clue hence the reason why they have not to much business read more

BUT she is with "Star Nails"in Pt. Pleasant Beach now and the Salon is spotless and clean! I would definitely recommend "Star Nails". Came here based on other reviews. Not impressed. Told her length and shape were perfect as is. She proceeded to file too round and lengths were uneven. Asked her to square off slightly. Walked out w very short nails. I get manicures regularly near my home so my expectations aren't off. Also they had a soccer game on tv, full volume. Not relaxing. read more

My favorite salon by far out of all at the jersey shore. Every nail technician is completely welcoming and very friendly. I get my nails done there every few weeks and I am never disappointed. The owner Christina is such a sweetheart and the prices are always reasonable. The workers never rush you and always do your nails very well. Had one of the best pedicures here on a whim. Luckily I checked reviews on here before coming & was NOT disappointed! I stopped in Friday 6/3 on my lunch break in desperate need of some tlc for my toes. The owner told me there would be a 15 minute wait, which I was ok with because I work up the street and I have an hour long break. She then told me to pick my color and that I could sit in an open pedicure chair while I waited. Five minutes later, she turned on the foot bath & asked if the temperature was good. I was able to soak for a decent amount of time & a nail tech came over a few minutes later. She was so friendly & understood my needs, and set me up with the works - callus softener, foot scrub, a leg massage w/ lotion and a hot towel at the end. The color I picked looks gorgeous, and I felt like I had new feet! She finished my pedicure in 45 minutes and didn't make me feel rushed or like I was just another customer. Unfortunately I forgot cash to leave a tip, but I promised to stop back to tip her after work. I returned the next day to tip her & she was so grateful! Awesome staff, beautiful, quiet, clean salon, & an accommodating owner. I was still relaxed long after my pedi was over. Need I say more? Thank you to Christina & her team! read more
