I have been getting my manicures and pedicures here for a couple of years. Last summer the tech nicked the cuticle on my toe that bled immediately but they continued with the pedicure. I ended up getting an infection. I reached out to the owner who refunded me for the service. I decided to give them another try because everyone has an off day and the owner did a great job solving my concerns. I took my daughter to get a full acrylic set for her graduation ceremony- she had been asking for nails for several years and this was her first time getting them. They came out lovely. I paid $180 for the service and tip with Jamie. We went to have them removed 3 weeks later because she wanted a break for the summer. I booked a $30 nail enhancement removal with Helen. I sat at the entrance and watched as she first sanded down the top layer. I assumed next would be the foil acetone soak as is standard and what I told my daughter to expect. Instead of foils, Helen proceeded to very quickly and aggressively sand down the entire nail on all of my daughter's fingers. She nicked her skin in several places, and it bled. I am now in recovery mode trying to heal my daughter's nails, prevent infection and ease her pain. Several nails are completely sanded to the internal nail bed. Shame on this salon. Avoid at all costs. read more

Best nail shop around! They always take their time and do it the right way - letting nails cure long enough under the lights so the polish lasts. The Nail Shop is unfriendly and the quality of their work is not consistent. I have gone back on a few occasions to have my nails redone for one reason or another. The owner is cranky and monitors her online calendar, then tell you she knows when you change and appointment date or time. Not sure why this matters, given all is done online and according to her online policies and parameters. read more

They do a nice job but they act like they hate their job. They don't talk to you, they don't smile and when you leave they don't say thank you. They also don't have a system where they remind you of your appointment and I need that. As a result, I missed a couple of appointments they told me to never come back! OK, so I'll never go back but you need to up your game. Be nice to people, your customers. They spend money there to support your business and you need to say hello, how are you, thank you for coming!! That's just good business! read more

Hands down the best nail salon I've ever been to. It's pristine clean, use non-toxic manicures, and they know how to disinfect their tools and in between customers. Most importantly, Jamie is so talented and delicate with designs! I had two broken nails and she made extensions for me. Then, asked me what shape i want for my nails. I went with square shaped. And this tortoise design that I wanted came out beautiful. I refuse to go anywhere else now. Obviously this place is already packed with customers so just have a common sense about scheduling and always make an appointment because they fill up pretty quick. Hands (and feet) down The Nail Shop is absolutely the best nail salon in this area. I've tried so many places over the years - both in New Jersey and New York, and there was always something that I was unsatisfied with. I made an appointment with Jaime for a gel manicure after reading some of the great reviews I am thrilled with the precise work and expert manicure. I made a second appt and again, a fantastic manicure. Today I had a marvelous and regenerative gel pedicure. My toes look fabulous. The shop has an autoclave to sterilize the instruments, along with many UV light receptacles. I am a dental hygienist and the shop is as clean as a dental operatory. Everything is sanitized. Thd bottom line is that I highly recommend The Nail Shop. read more

The salon was very clean and they thoroughly cleaned everything in between customers. My pedicure was fantastic (long massage which, let's be honest, is the best part). My friend and I got wonderful pedicures here! It is, as the other review states, immaculately clean! You get a sense of friendliness and cleanliness as soon as you walk in and they asked nicely if you will go wash your hands at the customer sink. Fresh individual towels are there to refresh with. I went to this place after my old place failed to take off the nail glue or acrylic glue whatever off my nail. I sat down and the nail tech just used acetone and the nail drill. Took about 15 mins. I'm not sure what service they would even consider it, but they charged me $25. I found that ridiculous because they just took off the glue and provided no other service. The nail tech was rude and man handled my nails. He also cut them very short to the point they hurt. Definitely not going back. read more

I will start by saying this is a beautiful and clean nail salon. For the most part, I absolutely enjoyed my experience. The store front of the salon greets you with a sign stating walk ins welcome, however, this is not the case. While vacationing I needed a manicure and pedicure, I found this salon very easily on a google search and decided to give it a try. I entered the salon and requested a gel manicure and pedicure. I was told they only had time for one or the other, however if I came back an hour and a half later they would have time for both. I decided on the gel manicure, since I was already there. The gel manicure was wonderful and again, everything is extremely clean. Once my manicure was over, I once again asked if I came back at a later time if they could give me a pedicure. It was then the woman told me in the meantime someone else had called and took that appointment. I was turned away with no pedicure, despite being there and requesting one twice during my visit.
