Store owner did not want to honor the money on a gift card because the gift card was issued 2.5 years ago. It had NO EXPIRATION DATE. Gave me a hard time about accepting it and finally acquiesced. I love the pedicures here. They cost $40, but well worth the money. They give an excellent foot massage.

Do not use this salon! My husband got a very severe infection which required a visit to the emergency room. The emergency room doctor said the only way that you can get an infection like this as if the tools that were used were not sanitized properly!!!!!! read more

This salon was great! I have been trying numerous salons in the area and have always left feeling disappointed . Today was my first visit to Ceci's. It was a very relaxing experience. So relaxing I almost feel asleep. Tranquil music was playing and no one was talking. They took their time. I felt like I was at a spa. I have been to this salon several times this summer. Each time I had a spa pedicure and the price was $40.00. They do a nice job!!! WELL yesterday I decided to never go back and here's why: called to make 2 spa pedis. Very nice service. Pleased with the relaxing massage, took her time. Etc. When she handed me the receipt to pay, I figured $80 was for both my friend AND myself, because who would pay $80 for a pedicure? I'm not Rockefeller... I tell the man at the front, I said I've been here several times this summer, had a spa pedi and both times paid $40. Why is it double?? Rudely points to the wall sign.. SHARONs SPA PEDICURE $80. I said I see that but I told him my story. Again, rudely says $80, regular is $40. I said well I never ask for a regular, always spa, so I don't understand. Just went to Ceci for the first time this week and got a regular pedicure. The massage is amazing and very relaxing, will be coming back!

I was made to feel very uncomfortable walking in here. Every person, staff and patrons included, stared at me for such a long time that I actually had to say, "What, is there something on my face?!" to get them to stop. Finally, when I sat down at the manicurist's table, I requested very nicely that she take my gels off and cut my nails down as short as they can go since I need to keep them short for a Martial Arts class I am taking. This went on for ten minutes. I kept telling her "No. Please completely remove the gels. I do not want them. I do not want the gels on my fingernails any more. Please remove them completely." She kept trying to put more gels on my nails. It got to the point where I was so frustrated I almost walked out. When she finally understood what I wanted and began to go to work she took out her motor powered acrylic and gel file and instead of soaking my nails, which is the proper way to remove gels and acrylics, she filed them down to the very last layer of my natural nail, leaving them sore, red, and tender. Very painful. She used an extremely and unnecessarily abrasive file on my natural nails when she was done "removing" the gels (pieces were still left stuck to my nails. They chipped off during the next few days in which my nails broke due to being brutally filed.) and moved the file back and forth in a quick and haphazard fashion (anyone who knows how to give a good manicure knows you are only supposed to file in ONE direction!). I asked her to please use a finer file and file in one direction, but rather than do that she just changed the file to an equally rough one and proceeded to shred up my nails further. My nails were breaking and my polish was chipping within 2 hours of my manicure. I will never get a manicure here again. Ever. I have learned my lesson. I did enjoy my pedicure thoroughly, however. The leg massage was AMAZING... the best I have ever had in a nail salon! The two stars are for the pedicure, which was great. read more

Just went for a gel manicure for $50. From start to finish, it was 15 minutes. Ok...so then I asked for waxing. Apparently, eyebrow, lip and chin is $60. 30 minutes later=$110. And they weren't even nice! Lesson learned. read more

I hate to leave a bad review because I generally try to find reasons to love a small business and the hardworking employees but I was so dissatisfied with my nails after spending over $50 on a gel manicure. The manicurist/manager was nice enough but I had told her multiple times my nails are brittle and break when they get long. I must have asked her twice to cut/file them a little shorter. Low and behold that same day after leaving one of my nails broke....this never happens that soon after. Then a few days later a couple other nails started chipping and one more broke. The cherry on top was that instead of cutting my cuticles she put a "special lotion" to I guess soften them and make them look better? Idk I've never had a manicure without cleaning up my nail beds and cutting my cuticles. Overall not happy with this nail job. $70 for an Acrylic set on NAILS-Never go there. The nails were NEVER smoothed out and after 2 hours of torture she polished my tips and they were all bumpy. The worst place I've ever been to. When I walked in and saw how dirty it was my gut told me to leave. ( I should have listened). The owner did my nails, a full set of acrylic tips and gel polish. Every nail was a different length and shape. She also stopped at least 15 times to answer the phone and to cash out customers. The place was filthy beyond believe. RUN DON'T WALK AWAY FROM THIS PLACE.......DIRTY I wish I could give this place 0 stars. Maybe 1 star for having electricity (really, because Yelp makes you give at least 1.) I have never been in a dirtier, less sanitary nail salon in my life. And I've lived in NYC for 15 years. I wish we had walked out before our service. We arrived at 9AM for the first appointments and the place was filthy. Cups and just stuff on the arm rests from clients from the night before. Chairs were not clean; armrests were dusty and dingy. The trays they use were dirty, paper towels and tissues crumpled up, tools out and dirty, bath salts half-spilled. I have no reason to believe they cleaned the tubs last night. I still can't believe we didn't leave. The staff's aprons were filthy, the towels they used were dirty, the walls were dirty, the UV lamps were dirty, and the chairs by the dryers were unusable. Some of the staff themselves were unkempt. I wouldn't let them touch me with any tools. The nail files were disgusting. We came home and scrubbed our feet and covered them in peroxide. (But first I used alcohol swabs in the car from a first aid kit.) I will never set foot in this place again. I'm surprised it is still in business. Please do not go. read more

I miss this place!!! They are the best nail salon and waxing in the Jersey area. They are known for their pedicures and waxing. I would highly recommend coming here and they aren't too bad price wise. For a pedicure it will run you about 30.00. The waxing for eye brow is 8.00. But they are clean and the salon is spacious and attractive. The owners are Japanese, friendly and they are always busy. They are closed on Sundays, but open Monday through Saturday and you don't need an appointment. read more

They said it cost more because of the gel color, aboslutely horrible, for something that should be very quick and simple it took about 35 minutes and cost me $35. Very overpriced for fill $40 and it chipped on the way out - they fixed very quickly as they were closing and by the end of the evening it had chipped again. I went back and they fixed, but only lasted a week. Pedicure was great - would return for that, but not for nails. read more

I won't even give them a star, I was so disgusted with my services. I had a horrible pedicure, all of my nails were crooked and my polish was all over my cuticles. Then I made the mistake of getting tips and acrylics, I don't even think she had ever did them before by her application. I only got very short, plain nails. I didn't even get color. They were so misshaped, crooked,and bumpy. I really couldn't believe she let me leave like that. This isn't a quick and cheap place like it should be. It was over 2 hours and 95 for a horrible job. This location is not in Belmar, it's Manasquan. One word - Dirty. I went here for the first time this weekend for a pedicure. From the beginning I was grossed out. First off, the girl who was doing my nails did not wear gloves, then I looked around and no one was wearing gloves. 2nd, I witnessed her take the metal tools from where she had just finished another customers manicure, bring them over to me and stick them in some blue stuff. The place I usually go to uses an autoclave so I know they are sterilized. The waiting area has dirty, ripped up couches, some of the nail dryers are missing buttons, old dirty magazines and newspapers lying around. And to top it all off, this place is $7 more expensive than the place I usually go to! I will not be back. read more

Really disappointed I did not see one tool come out of sanitizer they came out of the cart drawer same for the files. The pumice stone she grabbed from another girl I told her not to use it on me. The actual paint job terrible she didn't even get the entire nail but managed to get more skin. This place use to be great they were very busy so I guess that's why they were giving out crappy pedicures, the massage that's usually outstanding about 2 minutes per leg and not the normal pressure. read more
