Yesterday was my first day trying Lovely Nails. I give the experience 4 stars. Sonny, the male technician who did my pedicure did an awesome job! He was so attentive and made sure everything was good throughout the whole appointment - much appreciated. Although my manicure was not exactly the shape or design I was originally going for, the women technician still did a great job in and of itself. Lovely Nails has been my go-to nail salon for over 15 years. Tina and Kenny, the owners are all business, which may be why no one gets that warm fuzzy feeling off the bat, but when you get to know they, you know they are extremely caring and invested in their business and their clients - it is basically their life. I always get an amazing pedicure, especially in their new pedicure chairs with the most sanitary conditions and up to date standards, and I have had my gel polish and pink/white gel nails done there over the past decade. Without fail they do an amazing job and will always get you in the day of. The whole staff at Lovely Nails is top notch & I will travel from Tinton Falls down to Sea Girt to see them! read more

I stopped into the parking lot of Lovely Nails randomly on a Saturday evening. I checked online while still in the car to see their hours. They were open til 7, which was great, but when I saw that they only had a 2.5 stars I was nervous. I began reading reviews to see that many were quite old, some from over 10 years ago. The most recent were pretty good, so I took a chance. I am VERY glad I did!! Sunny gave me a fabulous gel pedicure and he could not have been more kind or careful. Kim gave me a fantastic gel manicure. They were both perfectionists and even though I was the only one there, they showed absolutely no sign of rushing or putting pressure on me to leave or finish up. I am not one to write reviews, but I feel this place is worth some positive praise and feedback that is more recent. I've been to several places in the area and had instances where I wasn't pleased. Polish chipped within days, people rushed or did a messy job, etc. Lovely nails had a quiet and calm vibe without news channels blasting, they spoke to me and asked clarifying questions about what I wanted and if I was ok. They offered me bottled water. They took me immediately. I highly recommend them! I'll be back. read more

I will never come here again. They overbook themselves. As she was doing my nails, she was answering phone calls, making appointments, and taking care of clients in between. I told her to make my nails shorter and she did not listen. She was rough on my finger nails. Nasty attitude. Spent $66 including a $10 tip removing gel and adding a full set with gel layering. read more

Not so Lovely: This was my first time here. And it will be my last. I only came here because I was given a gift certificate for my birthday. I called the day before to make an appointment as I had other appointments to make and wanted to make sure I didn't have to wait. I arrived 5min early. Waited for 15min. Then 10min after my appointment was supposed to start, was prompted to sit in one of the chairs and start soaking. I thought that meant my pedicure was about to begin. But nope, I then sat in the chair soaking my feet, as the water turned cold, for 20min. I pulled my feet out after the water turned cold and felt that I was starting to prune. I then sat there with my feet off to the side until someone finally came over to start my service. Long story short, I had a 1pm appointment and had to wait a half hour until my pedicure. The woman who gave me my pedicure was nice but the woman who I cashed out with had attitude. Might be good for walkin's but don't plan on your appointment time being honored here. read more

One of the worst gel manicures I've ever had! I would have did a better job myself, she never soaked my fingers, barely filed my nails and didn't even touch my cuticles. I was in and out of the chair in 10 minutes. My gel polish is bumpy and half painted on the sides. When I asked for another coat to fill in the empty spaces she was annoyed and jerked my hand around. I walked in this morning for a manicure and pedicure and was basically ignored. When I finally sat down for my pedicure I was greeted with an attitude. The massage was very subpar and the painting job was not worth what I paid. Then when we moved to my manicure, the woman wouldn't even paint my whole nail. When I asked her to have the paint cover my whole nail she removed the first coat and started over again and was annoyed. Was it too much to ask to have my whole nail painted? Finally when I asked for change for a $20 for the tip, the person at the registered was totally annoyed. Would not recommend. read more

The worst! The staff is beyond rude and I'm not sure why they feel they can be since they don't even give a decent mani/pedi. I was there with a group of 4, we made an appointment which clearly means nothing there as they confirmed the appointment when we walked in and had not one person ready. We had a 10-30 minute wait (none of us sat at the same time). My sister was told she looked old by the owner who didn't feel the need to apologize even after she said she felt insulted. She also told her she was done with her pedicure and physically grabbed her armed and pulled her out of the chair and pushed her into a seat for a manicure - polish was only on one foot. The owner apologized and "allowed" the tech to finish the pedi. Because I was last to sit I couldn't get a manicure because it would have meant everyone waiting at least 30 minutes for me to finish. No one's nails look particularly good and no one was treated well. Never going back!!! read more
