Slop and Glob. I am new to area and tried this shop. I got a mani-pedi and they did a really awful job. They did not properly clean the nails but just slopped nail polish on a poorly prepared base and left the big glob to dry. The pedicure was the same with nail polish not even covering parts of the toes. I would honestly be ashamed to do this bad of a job. I noticed that other people commented on the vibe of the shop and I have to agree that it is unpleasant. Another customer brought her own nail polish and the young woman working with her "rolled her eyes" and "sighed" and let her contempt be known behind the woman's back. I don't know how this place stays in business. They do a bad job and are unhappy you are there.. read more

Place itself is fine. No frills. Most of the women who work there are pleasant and do a decent job. The owner is curt and honestly pretty rude and I've seen her behave like this on more than one occasion. The last time I was there I walked in and asked for a pedicure. She said to sit. I asked how long and she ignored me. When the pedicure started I asked if she could cut my cuticles. She ignored me. I thought maybe she didn't hear or understand and so asked again and she clearly ignored me. She never did what I asked. She was in a terrible mood to everyone and it was uncomfortable and unprofessional. So strange but not something I'd want to do again. read more

Listen. I never ever EVER write reviews, nor am I a high maintenance girl.... But all I want to say is that I got a full acrylic set on Saturday, and by Wednesday of the next week (4 days later) 4 of them had broken off. The first one happened the very next day, and she fixed it for free. But after the 2nd, 3rd and 4th like??? What is happening. Do with that information what you will.... read more

This is a 3 Star review because my nails came out amazing by Ellen (I highly recommend her) but my sister had an older lady and she did not do as good... I will post pictures and you'll see what we mean. Mine are the pink and hers are the dark purple. They also don't have dipping powder!!! read more

I have gone to Sunny's several times and the staff has always been so friendly and professional. However today was a different story. The owner was curt and rude to walk-ins & calls that she answered. As I was choosing a color the basket was taken off my lap before I could pick a color & then the owner chose pink when I requested white. There are so many good nail salons in the area...this is no longer one of them :( read more

I was referred to this salon from a family friend while I was visiting the area and am surprised by some of the bad reviews. I had a great experience here and the lady who gave me a mani and pedi was friendly and attentive and it wasn't rushed at all. It's a small salon and I love supporting local businesses. As I understand it, they've been around for a long time which says a lot. I would definitely recommend this place and go back when I am in the area. read more

Yikes! I made an appointment for a mani and pedi because I received a gift card. Everything about this visit was bad. My nail tech was rushing the entire time, even though there was only 3 of us in the whole place and no one was waiting. First, the lady let my feet soak for literally a minute. Then, everything she did was painful, from pushing back my cuticles, cutting my nails, filing them, and the massage! I should mention that I am *not* particularly sensitive and get manis and pedis all the time. I sat in the pedi chair at 5:00 and she was done and drying me off by 5:10 - crazy fast! The polish was OK but it started peeling within a few days. The manicure was more of the same - rushed. It wasn't painful, but I don't think she did a good job with shaping my nails. Probably because she was moving so fast! I feel I should also mention that the nail tech did not speak very good English and I had to ask her to repeat just about everything she said. It was awkward and embarrassing. The salon was clean, though. I will not come back, I'll stick to my two other local places for better service. read more

Just your average Asian-run no frills salon with outdated, barebones furniture. It's cheap so if that is all you care about, go for it! They seemed pretty clean but I didn't get my nails done. I came here for a leg wax and it was just ok. The woman was quite slow and the wax was overly hot to the point that I had to tell her it was burning me. She missed a ton of hair and left me covered in wax! On top of that, she told me that she should charge me more since she included my knees in the wax (after I asked her to) as their version of lower legs is just below the knee. I've been doing this for 16 years and no one ever tried to charge me more to wax my knees in a lower leg wax. NOT going back! read more

This is my favorite nail salon to go to. It's affordable and the staff is friendly. I usually get a basic manicure and it lasts so long! Over a week with no chipping! It's awesome. I've only had great experiences at this salon. I definitely recommend coming here. read more

Awesome manicure - gel/French most of the filing done by hand w/o tools- even applied the color on the tips no spray paint then massage, moisturizer and hot towel. Great atmosphere, very tranquil and peaceful after a day of work! Worth every penny !$40 read more

Rude rude rude! Walked in and there was no "Hello" it was "we are busy" which they were not, or it did not look like it. My friend and I were just getting polished changed ( take 10 min) and they asked if we wanted toes too, we declinded. Two mintues later I said okay I'll do toes too... they said NO TOO BUSY?!? Anyway, I sat down and to start and the lady started yelling at my friend to sit down... she was not done picking out her color. So rude. I live in manasquan and I will NEVER go back there ever. P.S. Mani and pedi are affordable, especially compared to some of the other salons in the area, and they do a really great job. Nails always come out looking good and they give you the full works of course, with massage and lotion. All of the ladies working here are really nice and friendly and the salon overall has a peaceful and relaxing atmosphere. They seem friendly to kids if they come in with parents and are well behaved, which is another plus compared to other salons. I've had my brows waxed here and she did a pretty nice job too. I've never had any of their other waxing services so I can't speak about those. I would recommend making an appointment if you really want something done on a certain day because they can get crowded in the afternoons (at least in the summer). Parking in downtown Manasquan is plentiful and free. I know it gets crowded in summer, but I've never had trouble finding a spot. They accept cards, but request tips in cash. I think they have agreed before to put the tip on the card for me, so I'm not sure how strict that policy is, but good to be aware of it! read more
