I've been coming here on and off for a few months and always had great experiences until my last gel manicure. The gentleman doing my nails was rushing, paid little to no attention to my cuticles, and got polish all over my fingers. When I asked him to slow down and fix it, he seemed annoyed by the request. He also didn't do the best job removing the old gel polish, so when he started to apply the new gel, it was incredibly streaky. At $37, I shouldn't have to beg for something to be fixed. I left the salon with my fingers looking like I painted themself - messy and not worth the price I paid. I sadly will not be back. read more

Everyone is super friendly and welcoming at XO Nail Spa. They have owned this business for about a year and I'm so glad I walked in. Nina, my nail technician, did an excellent job with the Hot Stone pedicure and gel manicure. She doesn't speak much English, so I got to zone out on the television and massage chair. Again aanother disappointment at XO went there they hiked their prices which I kind of get being that everything is more expensive but then when I went to check out and use Venmo, she was going to give me a loyalty card, but said I couldn't do it because it was Venmo. I found out Venmo business does incur a transaction but her Venmo is in her personal name and makes you use an emoji that is not nail related basically ripping off the customer once again. My mother has been a loyal customer at this salon for over 12 years, yet she has now been treated with clear age and mobility discrimination--twice in the last six months. She uses a walker and moves slowly. On her most recent visit, there was no available handicap parking, which delayed her entrance. She arrived only six minutes late, and despite the staff knowing her situation and long history as a client, they gave away her appointment instead of showing even basic accommodation or compassion. This was not an isolated incident. The pattern of dismissiveness toward an elderly customer with mobility challenges is deeply disappointing and unacceptable. A business that benefits from long-term loyalty should not punish someone for aging or for needing extra time to walk safely. I have been doing my gel mani/pedi at XO since moving to NJ. The last two times, I brought my daughter in for a regular (not gel) mani/pedi. The first time, she had a horrible chemical smell coming off her nails that took a week to go away. Yesterday, the same thing happened. So it's obviously some product that's used. Called to ask that it be changed, and the owner got on the phone and refused. Told her to wash her hands more, and that there is nothing they could do because it will the products are all the same. DO NOT GO HERE I would leave zero stars if I could. After seeing how amazing the Luxury Spa pedicure was from an influencer, I was very excited to try it. While the pedicure was good, it was the customer service that is driving my review. I booked online with a tech who had great reviews and when I arrived, I was greeted with he was too busy doing nails. During the pedi, the woman gave me a massage and asked for me to take off my sweatshirt. She was massaging my arms and said to me "you need to exercise" I started to explain that I recently lost over 100 lbs and that it was extra skin. I think I was so stunned that I felt the need to explain. When I finished, I told the receptionist, and she was mortified and went to the owner. The owner just yelled across the salon in another language to the employee which made me very uncomfortable. I was not given a discount refund on my service, and the owner told me "Sorry, it's a cultural and language thing" It's a human decency thing and there is no excuse. DONT GO !!! FIRST TIME THERE Made an appointment on line for acrylic fill & pedi with Wendy. Got there couldn't even check in pure chaos. Completely ignored. Finally checked in. Theres a million books, people walking around with said books cant find anything, getting frustrated. Zero help ! No one asked like what are you looking for cat eye, chrome or design ect . Like can someone just point me to a book pls. Found a red color chrome finish Wendy said she cant do that also told me she wont be doing my acrylic fill that I need a gel fill for 5 bucks more. I pushed back had a confirmation so now you dont do that? Booked on website. Showed confirmation on my phone. She gets annoyed with me gives me a gell fill anyway red color nothing that i wanted. Asked why I couldn't get what i wanted ignored me started to talk to the tech next to her . Kids were running around the place screaming knocking into my chair, far from relaxing. Get to my pedicure station 2 people start me (not wendy) & say someone else will finish, water is now cold as hell while i wait patiently, they start a gel pedicure i say no just regular pedicure guy gets mad. Nail polish all over the side of my toes , ignores me when i ask politely if he can clean up the sides of my toes , starts talking a different language to other tech , attitude everywhere. I cancelled & rescheduled appointments several times and received a phone call on the day of my appointment & was told that no further appointments would be scheduled & that I would have to call the day I wanted to come in to set the appointment which would probably not be with Rich. But, it is ok to get a call from the salon the day of my scheduled appointment & was told Rich can't see you today as his child his sick,I was told this several times. Not a nice way to treat a long term customer. Also, with a scheduled appointment sat for over 15-20 minutes waiting for him to finish up probably a walk-in. Okay i had to come back to write this review. This place is AMAZING. The pedicure was $30 and included salt scrub, lotion, hot stones, hot towels, heel treatment, and more! Then my dip manicure was $50, perfect shape and thickness and has lasted for 3.5 weeks so far. They are even able to match dip/gel/regular polish colors. I went in to get my nails done for my wedding. I was given a seat with a man (he didn't tell me his name) and he was so rude that he almost made me cry! He kept slapping my hand when I tensed up a little bit and kept yelling at me to put my hands in the drying vents slower. When he asked me if I wanted gel or acrylic and I said I wasn't sure the difference (I do not get my nails done on a regular basis) he laughed at me. I asked him to please wear a mask and he snarled at me. He told me that summer weddings are expensive and then when he asked how long I had been with my husband and I said 15 years he yelled "why did you not get married sooner? Whats wrong with him?" I said that we had other priorities other than getting married and he snarked at that. At some point the white part on my nail smudged a bit and he stared at me with the most nasty look and said "I told you this is hard to fix!" It seemed like a pretty popular place so I'm certain that there are better people there. I gave him a hefty tip because he was looking over my shoulder at the ATM machine (they don't take tips on cards). He didn't deserve what I gave him. I don't think I will ever go there again. I recently moved to the area and found this salon online. Been here a few times, the manager (Wendy) has zero customer service etiquette. You are paying full price for a service that is always rushed. I arrived 15 minutes early to be taken 15 minutes late and had my pedicure rushed. When I brought this up to Wendy there was no sorry, her response was "your nails came out fine". They do okay work if you constantly tell them what you want (like shape nails straight) but I will be taking my business somewhere else. read more

My friend wanted a simple design...rhinestones on a sheer color and they told her they don't do rhinestones or have a sheer polish! All of the reviews photos are showing rhinestones! I got a fun trendy design. Simple flowers , swirls , and stripes. I was only showed one color option for some of the colors I wanted while I see others choosing specific colors out of a book.... They ended up coming so terrible it looks like I attempted it myself. I asked her to fix them after she was done and I noticed how bad they came. They ended up being even worse and the top coat was forgotten on one of them and it was dry and felt unfinished. Paid $50 for this. read more

THIS PLACE IS AWFUL DO NOT GO HERE!!!!! i went here and asked for a simple design and i ended up with the most horrendous nails i've ever seen. i was charged $80 for these nails. I come back the next day mind u i'm not getting any money back for my inconvenience, the girl at the front desk was treating me very rude and weird and i did not like it. they were doing my nails and i just asked a question saying how i don't like how u can see my nail through the base coat. they are saying i need to pick my own base color now which i have never done before. i thought that was the nail artist job? i was told not to give them a hard time when i was just their yesterday because they fucked them up so bad the first time i wanna make sure i like them since i wont be getting any money back!!!! and then the guy tells me "no one in here can do this design for u"when you guys could have told me that yesterday instead of doing a shitty job and charging a 15 year old $80. i couldn't even look at them that's how bad they were. i have also heard bad things about this place but i chose to keep going because ive never had a problem with the people or nails but i wont be coming back and many people i know wont be either. i've also heard people saying they bug bites on their back from sitting in the chairs there!!!!! read more

I've been getting my nails done for 15 years, tried different places, received all different types of service and quality. I have never written a review on a nail salon ever. But this place is absolutely the worst nail salon I have ever experienced and racist. I don't understand how they have 4 stars on Google and 3.5 stars on Yelp. I went there for the first time yesterday for a new full set of gel nails and a gel pedicure. When I called to make the appointment the receptionist made it for Wendy (nails) and Derek (pedi). I explained that I have acrylic on my toes and she said that's not a problem. When I get to my appt. Wendy is the owner and she did my nails sloppy. I had different shapes and different lengths on my fingers and I had to ask her to fix it. The nails on my right hand are still longer than the left and more coffin than the left but I could feel she was rude so I didn't want to argue. Wendy was already very short in convo and quiet. She moved very fast and sloppy, again she's the owner. Then they sent me to Lynn for a pedi, not Derek who was standing there. Wendy said Derek only does by appointment I said I did make the appt. with him. She asked was there a reason I wanted him in specific, I said I have acrylic on my toes. She said if you need that one of use will come over and do it but Lynn will do the pedicure. When Lynn was drilling the polish off, the acrylic was cracked and lifting on both big toes. I asked for them to be fixed and Wendy walked over and said her salon doesn't do acrylic on the feet because you can get fungus like that. She just said she could do it then switched and said she couldn't. (Mind you, I've getting acrylic on my toes for years, never had a nail fungus). So I asked Lynn to just take the acrylic off. She files the broke acrylic even with my toe nails but doesn't remove it. I said to her cant leave my toes with partial acrylic, that is how I'll get a nail fungus. She files more but the partial acrylics are still there but wants to paint my toes like that. I ask if she can have someone else come over. She gets upset and starts shouting in her language across the salon bringing attention to us. I never yelled at her or was rude. I was the only Black customer in there, everyone else was White. I wanted no attention on me but she's screaming and then Wendy and Derek walk over. Wendy files the rest of one acrylic off and left the other on and walked away. From there, Lynn became very rude and rough. Moving my feet hard, throwing things down, slamming things. And trying my best to not cause anymore attention, I say nothing. My polish is lumpy, the pedicure was bad. And guess what, I STILL TIPPED 20% because that is who I am. I knew I was never coming back but I will not be that ONE Black customer that speak ill of. I conducted myself respectfully and left regardless of the terrible job. Well today, 24 hours later, a nail is lifting. On a brand new set, a nail is lifting. I go back to have it fixed. Wendy puts nail glue on the lift. I said this needs to be fixed, nail glue is not the answer. She tried to blame it on my skin being on my nail. As if I am an idiot. I said my skin is not why it is lifting. I got it done yesterday it should never lift in 24 hours. So she files off the color, takes out the gel, puts a thin layer on top, dries me, and puts the color on. She didn't file it even. She left the gel lopsided. She also told me I should go to someone else in the shop because "she cant do them how I like" instead of apologizing and owning up to her mistake. I said I won't be returning the shop, she and her employees are very rude and treated me badly yesterday unwarranted. Her response was "thank you." I did not see them speak to or treat anyone else how they treated me. I remained respectful both days and still tipped yesterday despite not liking how everything turned out but she was grateful to hear I will not return. The prices are cheap and you pay for what you get. Poor service, bad work, and hostility. I truly want my 20% tip back. read more

my only complaint is that XO does not treat their clients well. Each time I had an appointment they made me wait 20-45 min to start. Additionally multiple people would work on my nails during one appointment. Wendy is very disrespectful and condescending. I had to come in for a broken nail today and after confirming over the phone that I would not be charged (since it broke less than a week later) I was screamed at and told it was my fault. If you don't mind long waits and mean staff, they do nice work... that's why I always returned. however this time was enough for me and I will not be returning. read more

I just left this establishment. I walked in at the time they open, 930. I didn't have an appointment but figured I could come without issue since they opened as soon as I arrived. A man greeted me and asked what I needed done and I said polish change. A POLISH CHANGE. He said he couldn't and that I would need to come back later. Most seats were empty, but I left because I didn't feel welcomed. I sat in my car to decide what to do next since I traveled all this way. As I sat there, a few other patrons were walking up and I asked if they had an appointment prior, they shook their head no. I informed them that they aren't taking walk-ins. They proceeded to go in and never came back out. So you're meaning to tell me that I couldn't get a polish change for a walk in but these other patrons were seen right away.....
