I called the store and explained my situation. I'm very picky about who touches my eyebrows. Camille, the store owner, put me at ease and invited me to come in right away and she would make sure my eyebrows were perfect. As soon as I stopped in, she was so welcoming and the shop was very clean. We had a nice conversation, and she shared some tips with me on how to keep my eyebrows cleaned up. It was my first-ever Brazilian, and my waxer had the WORST attitude I've ever experienced. I don't want to say her name or publicly embarrass her, but wow... that was horrible. Immediately, she was nasty, and I tried to tell her that I was nervous about getting my wax. She just looked at me and told me to undress with her in the room, which I wasn't prepared for. She had absolutely no warmth to her. She didn't count down at all and just started ripping the wax off. I yelped and kept apologizing, but I also told her that she never even counted down. Her response was, "Yeah, I'm not gonna--and if you keep saying sorry, then I'll be mad."...Okay. I just kept telling her that I was nervous, and she said, "If you're so nervous, then why are you getting this done?" Okay... wow. Then the kicker was when I was trying to have a conversation with her because it was awkward and quiet. I asked, "Have you ever had difficult clients before?" She just stared at me. I then said, "Wow, you're mean." She didn't offer any post-wax instructions--I had to be the one to ask. Overall, I've worked in the service industry for 10+ years, and Jesus, I would NEVER act the way she did. I'm honestly still in shock. Your first wax is already uncomfortable, and she just made the entire experience so much worse.
