So happy I found Ginny! First of all, every manicure shes given me has been killer - the shape is always perfect, color, nail art, etc. Usually after two weeks with a gel polish, there is at least one raggedy-ass nail that starts to lift, but I probably could have gone easily three weeks with hers, it was as if they were acrylics. Second of all, I *really* respect/appreciate transparency when I go to a salon and this is a 5+ star example. One of the first things she told me is that if there is a design she hasn't done before, she will let you know (I feel like shes just being humble, I'm sure she can do it all!). That said, she has a "lets try it" attitude and takes her time to give you what you asked for, which is certainly hard to come by these days. How many times have you walked out of a salon with a shape and style that totally was not what you asked for? This does not happen here. Third, super cute salon (sometimes there are dogs to pet:)), location-wise its perfect, a block off Cookman so you can avoid metered parking. Get your nails done, then get some brunch! read more

30 seconds after I walked into Nails by Ginny I knew I found my new nail salon! They are so friendly, fun, and upbeat, which made my experience so wonderful. As someone new to the area, I thought I'd have to try a few salons before finding a keeper, but I was definitely wrong!!! Ginny is SO GOOD. I wasn't sure what I wanted to do on my nails so she took charge and did the prettiest nail art I've ever gotten (this coming from someone who was going every two weeks pre-pandemic!!!). I am SO glad I found this salon and highly recommend their services to anyone looking for an awesome vibe and great results! I've already booked my next appointment. read more

My daughter and I recently visited Rock Star Nail Salon for the first time while we were in the…read moreOcean Township area and decided to treat ourselves to a mother-daughter nail appointment. Unfortunately, what should have been a relaxing experience turned into a very disappointing one. I received a spa pedicure, which cost $59, and upgraded to Dazzle Dry polish because I wanted the convenience of having my nails dry immediately and expected a longer-lasting result. With the upgrade, my total was over $70 before tip. To my surprise, within just two days, every toenail had chipped. I have had countless pedicures over the years, many with regular polish, and I have never experienced a pedicure chipping this quickly. It appeared that a top coat may not have been properly applied, so I called the salon to explain the situation. After being placed on hold, I was told that it is the salon's policy not to perform nail repairs. Let that sink in: after spending over $70 on a pedicure that lasted less than 48 hours, I was essentially being told I would have to pay again to correct the problem. While they ultimately offered to fit me in for a "one-time" repair, they made it very clear that they do not normally stand behind their work in situations like this. What disappointed me most was not just the poor durability of the pedicure, but the customer service and the salon's policy. When a service fails within 48 hours, especially at this price point, a reputable business should take responsibility and make it right without hesitation. Instead, I felt dismissed and inconvenienced. I was genuinely excited to try Rock Star Nail Salon and had hoped to become a repeat customer. Instead, I left feeling frustrated, disappointed, and frankly disgusted by the lack of accountability and customer care. For the prices they charge, customers deserve much better quality and service.
