Thought i would try a new place, because it was like $10 cheaper but its been just a week and my nails look ao bad. I already need a fill. I would stick to Euphoria in Apple Valley. read more

Very friendly, except for the person who helped me. My nails are way too short, super uneven, and one of the workers daughters messed up my nails when I was drying them. To top it all off the man who did my nails took approximately 2 minutes to put 2 coats and a top coat on my nails, I felt like he was rushing. Definitely not worth $27, I kind of just want to rip them off honestly. read more

The tech seemed annoyed and rushed. My nails came out uneven and way to thick. He never asked me if I wanted thick or thin. The reception girl was nice though which is why I gave 3 stars. read more

Good afternoon, I am a consumer but first and foremost I am in the business of customer service. My first experience was more than I expected in that the staff provided an awesome experience. It didn't hurt me to spend almost 100 when I would normally spend half. Usually the services were ok and Star was above average but the customer service again was excellent....that day. Today, not so much. I walked in close to 1:30 pm asking for a fill, eyebrow wax and pedicure, young lady with the bangs said they were booked but would work me in... about 15 mins later I was put on a chair for the pedicure, 30 mins later someone worked on me. And 3 hours later nothing. Three young ladies roaming around, another woman that I thought was the boss roaming until she did a pedicure. In that time, someone could have brought me slippers so that I could go to the restroom. Could have given me an ETA... but nothing. It is almost 5 pm.... no nail shop is worth hours of my time and my son being in day care. .. I never pamper myself and I had high hopes for this establishment that is above what I normally pay but I thought would be worth it. Obviously was wrong. The coworkers that I referred will be hearing about my experience. Office of 23 ladies that heard about my first experience and yelp will hear about today! I would have probably not been so upset had it not been for the young lady with the bangs trying to make it seem like I was out of place for asking for assistance. ..3 times she told me to wait a minute... unacceptable. I will continue my search. It was a drive to get to this location but it is not worth the sacrifice. Money and time would be better spent at my local place at least they treat me better, even if I have to see them more often. read more

Always loved acrylics but hated having them ripped off! Imagine my joy when I found Star Nails. Thanks Yelpers! Nini assured me that they would never do that there. They do backfills and no ripping off! So I went there and I gotta say I was impressed! I love the way my nails look and everyone there is very professional. My hubby went with me and was so impressed that I have scheduled a manicure for him the next time I go! read more

A friend referred me to Linn at Star Nails when I wanted acrylic nails. She is wonderful. The shop is clean and everyone very nice and professional. My nails are always done beautiful. read more

By far the best nail shop in the high desert. I have tried many and have been so incredibly disappointed. Star nails is clean, friendly and most importantly consistent! read more

I am so glad I found Kathy here at Star nails. I've been to so many places in the high desert that are either very questionable on cleanliness or are very inconsistent. Kathy gives the most amazing foot massage and is super funny. I've sent many clients to her and my mom now see's her as well. Love this place and I know I won't get some nasty foot fungus. The receptionist is also very nice and helpful. Won't go anywhere else. read more

Star nails is the best nail salon up here. They are friendly and always clean. They even have disposable jets for the pedicure chairs how amazing is that? They are reasonable priced for every service... I love this place. Make sure you call a few days ahead ask for liz or Lilly for a pedicure.. omg you won't be disappointed.. read more

I've been faithfully going to Star Nails for a few years now and have always received top notch service. I've been to quite a few salons trying to find someone who is consistent and who does a good job (where my nails are the same length!) and I finally found it in Star Nails. The receptionist is always nice and they offer you water and a snack when you arrive. Each customer has their own box of nail files, etc. in the back room. I see NiNi and she has done a consistently wonderful job every time! Last year the renovated the salon and expanded, but the friendly, competent service is still the same! read more

I had a great experience at starnails and will be going back. The receptionist was very polite; I ordered the Delux pedicure; Mary hooked me up, and did an amazing job. Will be going back for full set. read more

Your typical nail salon. Nothing to make it really stand out, but overall good service. Friendly staff. I wasn't happy with my manicure. My nails came out very crooked. The pedicure was great! Probably won't go back. But worth a shot! read more

This salon is amazing! Great customer service for a decent price. What I love most is their pedicure chairs. It was really new, and they use disposable jet liner! Awesome! I've heard a lot of story of feet contaminations but being that the chair's jet is disposable, I don't have to worry about it. I would refer all my friends to this salon. :) read more

Heidi is amazing. She is super sweet and trys to make your wax as painless as possible.. Though that's not really possible..lol. She is the only one I go to see any more for my brazilian wax. read more

I had a really great experience. I was in a rush and they were very accommodating and friendly. They have a HUGE variety of gel polish colors as well as plenty of regular nail polish colors. Very clean and sanitary. The only reason I'm giving it four stars is because the store front is a little off putting. But the inside is nice and my nails look great, which at the end of the day is the most important thing. read more

I went here Christmas Eve looking to try something new. When I first arrived the receptionist offered me snacks and water and explained to me that each individual customer get their own box of supplies, you take it home and bring it to each visit. I love that!! Makes me feel hygienic. I got a gel manicure and a pedicure. The lady who worked on me did an amazing job and my nails still have not chipped! This is my new go-to salon, I no longer have to travel down the hill for nail services! read more

I love star nails!!! They have honestly set the bar so high that when I go somewhere else last minute, I feel a bit dissapointed. I know I can come here and will always have great service and great nails. I just don't like their high prices but they are so good, I can't complain. read more

I only went to there because I was in the area. She put the polish on my nails so thick they were ruined before I left. The water for my pedi was cold and she scrubbed my feet raw. I can get a mani~pedi much closer to my house for less money and it's a cleaner place. That's the last time I go somewhere for convince. I wasn't happy about the experience at all!! read more

So I made an appointment today around 5:45 today and for some reason in my mind I thought 6:45. So I get there around 6:45 and she corrects me saying it was an hour ago and they close at 7:00. She told me she'd see if anybody can take me even though they close in 15 minutes and I said I can come back early tomorrow morning, I don't want to hold you back. She assured me that the owner could take me and get me out of there within an hour. Now that's good customer service !!!! $22 for a full set acrylics read more

I challenge anyone to find a High Desert nail salon with better cleanliness, customer service, and workmanship. Many people go to the same place year after year because that is what they know. They often overlook the dirty conditions and substandard service. Break the cycle, people... this is what a nail salon should be like! read more

I love this place! Everyone has always treated me professionally and courteously. Paul, Tran and Mary are great techs. I also like the manager (can't remember her name), she's always got a smile on her face. My friend and I went in for pedicures. Great jobs! Yay! read more

Truly this place was nothing to write home about. Shot shotty pedicure with crooked toe nails And a Full set that lifted within four days. I've been getting my nails done for 29 years. In my opinion this is another run-of-the-mill operation. No prices listed that I could see and the people weren't overly friendly either. I went here because they had good reviews. I must have hit the wrong day. My bad read more

I have lived in the high desert many years and tried many nail salons. Star nails is by far the best . They are very sanitary. The pedicure bath has a throw away plastic insert they use for each client. Their tools are in sterilized bags they open for each new customer and you have your own box with a nail file and buffer that you bring with you at each visit. Their prices can not be beat for the service you get. I would recommend them to anyone. The outside is misleading, but once inside it is very nice. read more

Amazingly clean! Great service and reasonably priced. I got the mani pedi combo for $27 and it was very nice. The personal box of nail tools and liners for the pedicures made it an easy choice. No worries that this place is above the standard for cleanliness. read more

Love this place..I never have a long wait, and VQ always does amazing on my nails. I love it when they talk to you and not just to eachother in Thier language read more

Absolutely horrible!! Went in yesterday for a full set....I was shocked even first walking in that you had NO CHOICE but to pay for the tools they use!.... Not to mention it is illegal for them to keep those tools and reuse them on you since they cannot be sanitized. They should be reported. I needed my previous set soaked off and a new set put on. They disregarded what i wanted and told me they would not soak them off because they did not want to dry out my cuticles. so instead they ripped them off my fingers and i was in so much pain. then I got passed to another lady in the salon, I told her and over that I wanted them to look as natural as possible. Not thick or fat....she just kept saying "ok OK" she put the white tips all the way down half my fingernail and i kept telling her to make them thinner and she just let the acrylic dry and said she couldn't make them thinner. I told her i didn't want the nails to fray out at all I wanted them lined up with my fingers.....after sitting for an hour she still wouldn't do what i asked and I was just ready to leave. The clear gel coat she put on came out not even fully covering my nails and has bubbles all through it. they are gross!!! I explained to the teenager working the register I was unhappy and was told to go to another lady on a different day because she was the best. No discount not apology NOTHING! I will NEVER go back there and I am not going to recommend anyone else does. My nails today are throbbing and hurt so bad I'm having to ice them! read more

Bad nail service, bad attitude when you request redo, not a place to recommend. Left cuticle, nails too long, did not sanitize foot bath.
