Amazing work every single visit, the details, the precision, the time and effort Mio's takes is very nice and lovely.

Do not come here, I was charged for the wrong service and not refunded I have kept receipts my entire time coming here and felt it was very well priced, until recently when I got charged more than my PREVIOUS set that was extra long nails, nail art and a full set that previous visit cost me $91 dollars. This time was a fill, short nails and nail art, and it was more expensive than my long nails costing me $96 dollars, which I attached the evidence of. I was quoted baseline $41 dollars for a fill, but the price final price of $96 entails my nail art was $55 dollars which I cannot fathom, I got nearly the same type of nail art with accent fingers and French tip design the only difference was the tech. I asked for credit or a partial refund as I was charged over 30 dollars, when I call to get quoted for the same service as I received they quote me around 50 dollars to 60 dollars, I add up the prices on their website and it is the same, even in my photo I took it says "full set" on their POS digitized screen not fill and polish change which is what my appointment was for. I have attached proof from my camera roll, a photo I took of myself waiting dates 4:12 pm the photo I took leaving dates 6:47 pm, meaning it almost took them three entire hours to finish my nails, I believe that I was overcharged to cover the workers slow pace which is no fault of my own. I am looking to resolve this and get my money back partial refund, it is unfair I was charged like this and I just want my money back. I understand if it is a mistake, but Mio nails has not admitted it is a mistake what I was charged although I have all the evidence, I would delete my negative review if this is resolved but I feel as if my trust has been betrayed as I have been a loyal customer and refused to go anywhere else. read more

I have been coming to this shop for a few months. The results have been mixed. Unfortunately, my recent service on Saturday, August 29, was my last. I will never use Mio Nail Spa in Apple Valley again. I had two services, regular mani & gel pedi. The older man who did my nails intentionally grinded down my nails to the point where they are too soft for me to use them to help pick up or do anything with them. I was concerned when after removing the gel polish he did additional grinding two more times with the device set on 7. I was unsure at the time but it is clear now he significantly damaged my nail bed which I was trying to keep healthy because over time the gel removal process with the grinder is very damaging to the nail bed. I am sure it was intentional because he warned me that it will not last long. That's definitely true if the nail is soft so he attempted to guarantee that I would need to come back for another service. I won't; the manicure itself is terrible! See pictures. read more

Don't be fooled by the Google reviews. 122.00 wasted this was definitely a lesson learned. The gentleman on my nails was nice but he needs more practice, I actually think they let him practice on me. I was very dissatisfied with my experience. After a third attempt to fix my nails, they ended up removing them completely. The technician ground around my cuticles so harshly that they are now raw and painful, as shown in the pictures. They also left glue stuck on all of my fingernails. When I requested a refund, they refused, leaving me out over $90 for nails that were damaged instead of fixed. As a first-time customer, I was unfortunately very disappointed with the service at this location. The technician who assisted me did not wear gloves during my manicure and pedicure, and relied more on his fingernails than proper tools throughout the process. He also failed to clean the dust off my nail beds before applying polish, resulting in gel being painted over visible particles. I had requested a simple gel manicure, but the lack of care and cleanliness was disheartening. I couldn't imagine looking at nails filled with dust for the next two weeks. My pinky toe French tip was so slanted I asked if can fix it but his way was of fixing it is by filing my already tiny pink toe as you can see it's almost gone.. lol I sincerely hope the facility prioritizes proper training for staff--especially when it comes to hygiene and sanitation, which are critical in a nail care environment. read more

This is my second time going here. The first time was a Christmas gift from a friend it was super busy on that Saturday, Emily did my nails Christmas theme and Kelly did my pedicure. Today is a Tuesday, it wasn't super busy and it was a way more relaxing atmosphere. My nail tech today was Harry. He was really gentle, (others in there could take some lessons from him on the dremel) I was grateful he would always stopped to make sure it wasn't hurting in anyway and he did a great job with the Valentine theme and all the extra work that got added on. I had originally went in for a fill, but we had to start from scratch because the place I went to in Orange County in between sets used acrylic over my original gel set, live and learn. I didn't catch the name of the man who did my pedicure wish I did, because I would ask for him again too. First time & last time customer. Got a gel manicure & pedicure, & my husband also got a basic pedicure. My gel manicures was okay, but the nail tech I got decided to file my nails down a bunch with the drill. She cleaned up my cuticles a little bit but didnt even use lotion on my hands or give my hands a little massage like most places, & I paid $51 for a gel manicure with a simple design on 2 nails total. I also took a boba drink & had it in the designated cup holder & instead of moving it out of the way while she did my mani, she was brushing up against my straw with her dust filled apron, I took a bag of chips which she spilled on a nail dust filled side table as well & instead of tossing the chips she dropped she poured them back into my chip bag too, needles to say I definitely threw both things in the trash after she did that. As for my pedicure, it was a disaster, the nail tech put cold water initially & when I notified him that the water was ice cold he brushed me off & said it was going to get hot, instead it remained cold until I let him know again, he then finally turned on the hot water full blast & when I told him the water was warm enough he ignored me until I refused to put my feet back in because it had gotten ridiculously hot, he burnt my feet a few times trying to claim the water was at a good temperature. ‍ Then while painting my toe nails, he kept hitting my toe nails with the curing machine & resting the machine directly on my big toes, & I kept having to tell him several times because he kept ignoring what I was saying. Once he was done, my toes looked horrible, it looked splochy & I could still see the previous nail color on the sides of my toes that he didnt clean up properly. The nail tech doing my pedicure was in a rush to leave & once he left, I let the nail tech that was doing my manicure know that my toes looked lumpy & uneven due to him constantly hitting them with the machine while trying to cure them & filing them down in a failed attempt to fix them. She initially told me I could come back tomorrow to get them fixed, but I told her I didn't want to deal with coming back since I expected it to be done right the first time. She then agreed to drill off my nail polish & redo it because she even agreed it wasn't a good job, & apparently she was one of the owners. Once done, her husband who was waiting on her to finish due to my husband & I being the last customers, made a comment saying usually they only take 1 customer for pedis & not 2 since they close at 6:30pm, to which I let him know he should've said something at the beginning not after our service is done since it was our first time ever trying this establishment. We showed up around 4:45pm or so & didn't end up leaving until 7:30pm. Overall, it wasn't a great experience, overall customer service wasn't great, over priced, & I left feeling stressed out & coming off of a few adrenaline dumps from getting my feet burnt by scalding hot water. & I wasn't even offered any form of compensation for the horrible experience. Apparently they charge you $15 if you come in with gel already on your hands/feet instead of $10 extra for a gel main or pedi. Emeli did my mani and they were okay but once it got to my pedicure it was not good. I didn't get the man's name that did my pedicure but he needs a lot more practice. All my nails are different shapes now and lengths left with cuts around my cuticle and the polish application was horrible.. super bumpy & uneven. I had polish on my skin too. Beautiful gel-x nails but a fill w/ French paint is going to cost you $59 before you even tip ($5 extra for French--which is standard, and 1 broken nail is $5 extra, and trimming/shaping is not part of the fill, that's another $3 extra). So after $5 tip, it's $64 for a fill. Wow. This was my 2nd visit for just a fill on my hands. My 1st visit for new gel-x set and a standard pedicure with callouses removed was $112 plus $10 tip, so $122. They don't tell you the prices till you get to the register. I was shocked about the cost but thought maybe because I asked for callous removal they upped my "standard" pedicure. I was hoping the fill would be around $45 out the door (including my usual $5 tip), but sadly, not the case. read more

But they were more concerned of getting people in instead of the quality of work that they do there. I left at 148 P.M. doing a Mani /Peti Spent $89 with tip. Not worth it. I would've paid more on tip. If the quality was there did not clean underneath toenail or nails asked to push down cuticle and cut. Both toenail and nails did not do so. This place is only for look. I called to let them know what happened. Just wanted to let them know that someone didn't clean their utensils correctly and I got an infection and they brushed me off. I had a wonderful experience at my appointment today. I walked in at 12:30 in the afternoon and they were pretty busy. I went in for a full set and a pedicure. I only had to wait 5 minutes and they took me back to start my pedicure. Christine did my pedi and she was so friendly. The paraffin wax and massage were my favorite parts. Then Tammy did my nails after and she recommended Gel X, which I've never had before. Tammy was so sweet the entire time she did my nails. I absolutely love how they turned out. I would definitely recommend this nail salon and I'll be back for a fill in a couple weeks. I walked in for a pedicure and was seated right away. The place looks so nice and clean and the staff is very friendly. I requested the smooth pedicure and I am very happy with the results. My cuticles are clean and this is the first pedicure I've ever received without being accidentally nicked. My feet are also super smooth and i absolutely love my color. I remember coming here when it was Bella Salon and I hated it. Now that it's advertised as under new management, I decided to try it out again. It was so overpriced for the quality of service you receive. I tried it out and paid $61 for a pedicure. In their pedicure menu, I looked extra close at the descriptions for each pedicure because I desperately needed my calluses cleaned up. He spent about 20 seconds lightly scrubbing my calluses and cut me twice. I left with seemingly no difference, and after paying $61 for that I was very frustrated. It wasn't even a horrible pedicure, I could have just received longer and better from other nail salons I go to around here. And for 40 bucks. Would not recommend this salon for anyone looking for a place to go to. read more

My first experience was with a younger male nail tech. He did an excellent job with the coffin cut and I was okay with the job. The only off-putting thing about the experience was toward the end, and before I can even tip was he asking me if I was going to tip him for the service. I was going to but I hadn't even had the change to pull out the cash. The second and last encounter was after new management. It was with an older nail tech. His accent was really thick and I'm hard of hearing, when I told him I didn't understand what I was saying he looked to his co-worker and laughed. I didn't realize he was going to use Gel X, he was rough with the job and also used a lot of glue causing burning on both my thumbs. I told him and he again laughed and was obviously speaking about me in another language with his co-worker when I question him on things throughout the encounter. It left me feeling uncomfortable and on top of that I was also charged more than what I was told over the phone. My nails compared to the first were not the same, wide for the coffin cut and index finger tilted to an angle. Overall, the experience was poor and I plan to just pay more for better service and attitude. No one should made to feel uncomfortable or laughed at for asking what they are read more
