Ally showed me around her salon and explained to me what are the differences with all the tanning beds. She also explained very thoroughly how to work each bed. The other times that I went the girls were friendly. The feature that I really liked about the tanning bed is to shut off the face tanning. I personally do not tan my face, just my body... so that was a neat feature to have. I really do enjoy this tanning salon, I would definitely go back, and recommend it to anyone.

I had taken the day off and drove from Barstow to Victorville specifically for this appointment. When I arrived for the new 4:00 PM time, she was still working on the previous client. At 4:21 PM, I was told she would call/text me when I could come inside, so I waited in my car. By 5:07 PM, I still hadn't been called in. At that point, it had been over an hour since the rescheduled time and more than three hours since my original appointment. I texted that I couldn't wait any longer and requested my $54 deposit back. She called me at 5:08 PM saying she had just finished and I could either come inside or receive a refund. I chose the refund because I had already waited long enough. To her credit, she was understanding and canceled the appointment through StyleSeat. I understand appointments can run behind, but this was excessive. I had already accommodated a two-hour delay, drove from Barstow, and then waited another hour after the rescheduled time. For a $180 service, I expected better scheduling and communication. I can't speak on the quality of her work because I never received the service. This review is strictly about the scheduling and overall experience. I appreciate that I was given the option of a refund, but losing several hours of my day after making the drive was very disappointing.

However she had told me for a balayage would be $250 which I did not want. And ended up charging the $300 (which was $50 extra) for the balayage and not the price she had said prior to coming into my appointment and walked out with a balayage hair and terribly haircut. Super bad experience will never return back.

My hair is done by Yvette and she does amazing and work and is honest with you. If she can't do something or thinks something won't last you she'll tell you. I wanted red but every other salon I checked with wanted to bleach my hair. The whole thing! Yvette was the first to tell me she did not need to bleach it and she was right! My hair is a beautiful shade of red and all with no bleach damage. She also has done my daughter hair detox (highly recommended) and her hair for school. The appointment was booked by Amy Gray for a haircut & wash with Valerie Cutro (no blowout/no styling) for October 7, 2026, at 1 PM. When I arrived at 12:56 PM, I wasn't greeted with a hello but instead was bluntly asked, "Do you have an appointment?" I confirmed that I had an appointment with Valerie Cutro, & moving forward everything went downhill from there. Valerie was okay at conversation but not at listening to my requests for the haircut I wanted. It seemed as though she already had her own "haircut" in mind. When I explained to her that my phone didn't have signal inside the salon & that I was having a hard time loading the video I had as a reference for the haircut, she didn't seem concerned & appeared to want to rush the experience entirely. After the video I wanted to show her wouldn't load, I remembered that I had screen-recorded it in case this issue came up. I showed her the video, & she still seemed to be in a rush nonetheless. When I saw my hair in the salon, I definitely noticed just how much she had cut off, but I still paid & walked out with my head held high, not realizing just how horrible the quality of the cut actually was. If I had noticed at the time I wouldn't have paid; that is definite. Keep in mind, the website they have linked for booking appointments lists a haircut & blow-dry with Valerie at $75. I only received a haircut & was still charged the full $75. Regardless, my hair looks nothing like the video I showed her or what I had communicated that I wanted. When I got home, my family & friends all told me that I shouldn't have paid the hairdresser. The cut is uneven, choppy, sloppy, & simply not what I asked for. My dad even asked if my hairdresser was drunk. My mom was extremely upset, & my friends suggested that they should have a word with Valerie, but instead, I'll leave this review. I've been to this salon in the past & had a wonderful experience with Vianey Lara over a year ago. I would have booked with her again, but she wasn't available on the website this month, so I decided to take a chance on a new hairstylist. That was my mistake. Peroxide Hair Salon can partially fix this issue by issuing a refund & speaking with their hair stylist.
