Sierra's spa room is inside Charmed Beauty Bar in Apple Valley on Hwy 18 and is very clean and peaceful. From the moment I met Sierra she was extremely welcoming and made me feel very comfortable. The appointment was booked by Amy Gray for a haircut & wash with Valerie Cutro (no blowout/no styling) for October 7, 2026, at 1 PM. When I arrived at 12:56 PM, I wasn't greeted with a hello but instead was bluntly asked, "Do you have an appointment?" I confirmed that I had an appointment with Valerie Cutro, & moving forward everything went downhill from there. Valerie was okay at conversation but not at listening to my requests for the haircut I wanted. It seemed as though she already had her own "haircut" in mind. When I explained to her that my phone didn't have signal inside the salon & that I was having a hard time loading the video I had as a reference for the haircut, she didn't seem concerned & appeared to want to rush the experience entirely. After the video I wanted to show her wouldn't load, I remembered that I had screen-recorded it in case this issue came up. I showed her the video, & she still seemed to be in a rush nonetheless. When I saw my hair in the salon, I definitely noticed just how much she had cut off, but I still paid & walked out with my head held high, not realizing just how horrible the quality of the cut actually was. If I had noticed at the time I wouldn't have paid; that is definite. Keep in mind, the website they have linked for booking appointments lists a haircut & blow-dry with Valerie at $75. I only received a haircut & was still charged the full $75. Regardless, my hair looks nothing like the video I showed her or what I had communicated that I wanted. When I got home, my family & friends all told me that I shouldn't have paid the hairdresser. The cut is uneven, choppy, sloppy, & simply not what I asked for. My dad even asked if my hairdresser was drunk. My mom was extremely upset, & my friends suggested that they should have a word with Valerie, but instead, I'll leave this review. I've been to this salon in the past & had a wonderful experience with Vianey Lara over a year ago. I would have booked with her again, but she wasn't available on the website this month, so I decided to take a chance on a new hairstylist. That was my mistake. Peroxide Hair Salon can partially fix this issue by issuing a refund & speaking with their hair stylist.

I inquired about the 1st wax free and was told by the receptionist and the esthetician that EWC never offers the 1st wax fee for Brazilians. I knew it was a lie because I know the owner of a EWC in another city far away, and I have friends that work at EWC's. Once I explained that I knew what they were saying was untrue the esthetician told me that the only reason places do that was because they need business. Well...that's what you should've said instead of telling a bold face lie on a whole company by saying EWC never gives free Brazilians . I told the lady that did my wax I'd never set foot in that establishment again, and it's a shame because it's in the perfect spot right next to Ulta and I'm frequently over there. I do love the EWC in Hesperia and appreciate a welcoming honest environment.
