Came in as a walk in and they got me into a chair right away! I had a nice young lady. She was kind and gentle when I told her my feet are ticklish. It's was relaxing and quiet! The chair was unreal and fantastic kneading out knots in my back! Im running back!! read more

My mom likes to come here to get her nails done and they are good nails when she goes but the one time she took me to this nail salon i had a bad experience. The environment with the staff was stressful and overstimulating. The overall looks of the place is great. I got my nails done on a sunday and on that next Tuesday (two days later) they are already coming off. My mom is also very confused on why my nails are coming off so quick. I paid $85 for my nails just for them to pop off 2 days later. I'm pretty sure i had rose as my nail stylist and she was not paying attention 50% of the time she was doing my nails and my nail beds were in pain for 2-3 days after i got them done, that is not normal. read more

The new ownership of this establishment I find to be very demeaning. The door says walk ins welcome but in the event you make an appointment and decide to upgrade your service while In store to treat yourself let's say be prepared to receive negative comments from the owner. Since the staff is really great and professional AND the proximity to my home is ideal I really wish I could have better things to say. I also never find myself feeling this strongly but in the 7+ times I've visited here I couldn't name a single positive interaction I have had while paying up front. I have no issues with the pricing as it isn't at all unfair but I really wish I was paying the technician directly because of how the owner treats a happy to pay customer. I lost my toenail due to unsanitary conditions here (I was exclusively getting pedicures here) and will not ever return under the current ownership. Maybe their fingernails are better but I really strongly would not recommend coming for a pedicure here. read more

Not very busy. Which I get for the middle of the week day. One of the customers baby/toddler was crying and the staff was very kind in caring for the baby while mom got her nails done. It was heartwarming since they absolutely did not have to do that. Sebastian did my nails. I just got regular polish. They turned out great. I like that he pulled my skin away from my nails to get the corners. Most people don't so I was appreciative of that. The only negative is that not even 24 hours later my nail polish was already chipping off and I didn't have time to go back and get them redone before going on a work trip. I ended up having to buy nail polish remover and a similar colored nail polish and I re-painted them myself (After 3 days of my crappy self painting job, they're still not cracked..). I would come back here, but not for a regular polish. read more

I have gone here several times to get a gel manicure. Every single time I have gone in, they greeted me at the door and had very little wait. The gel polish lasts about three weeks before it starts to chip for me, which is longer than the other places I have gone. I'm sure the polish would last longer, but I usually get them done every three weeks. Bo is super friendly and helpful. Go here if you don't want to wait forever, have great long-lasting gel polish, and a huge selection of colors. read more

Rosie is the absolute best in making your acrylic dreams come true!! All the ladies there are super friendly and really work hard to make sure no one is turned away. I really like this place! It is clean and spacious. I have only been with Coco so I am not sure how the other girls do but I am satisfied with the way she does my nails. I typically get a gel mani and a regular pedi. Coco takes her time and my nails always come out looking great. It's also easy to make an appointment. They typically can get you in the next day. read more

Let me tell you- from the online booking system to the great, friendly service and excellent manicures and pedicures, Star Nails & Spa is now going to be my only place to get my nails done. First, let's talk about that booking system. You can request a nail tech by name (amazing!), set your time, see all of the available services and the prices. There are no hidden fees or surprise charges here! Rosie (the owner) is super friendly and helpful. She's also honest about the wait time for walk ins. When I was there, the available techs were all busy and a walk in party of three asked how long the wait was. She told them about a half an hour and they happily sat down and chatted to wait. They prioritize appointments over walk ins, and are honest about it, which I appreciate! Also, the steam and hot stone massage add on for the pedicures is 100% worth the extra $10! read more

This place is a hidden gem! I made an appointment for 2:30 with Rosie (the owner), but when I got there she was finishing up another customer, so I gladly was sat with another worker, Sebastian. As it was my first time in this salon I did not mind going with someone different. While I was there, all walk-ins were attended to promptly and everything was super quick. The color selection (dip) was fantastic and the atmosphere was relaxing. I will say, if you're into a super modern, super clean nail salon, this place might not be for you, but from my experience it's places like that where I am shoved out the door with nails below expectations. The customer service was fantastic, quick and easy, I was in and out in an hour (which was the time the booking stated it would take). After I willingly sat with Sebastian, he went to work, and work he did. I honestly cannot say that I've had a better experience getting nails. He was unbelievably gentle and shaped my nails to perfection, and I mean, he took his time and made sure to check in with me to see if they were to my satisfaction (which is a rarity in other salons). I went with a very opaque color and he informed me that you would be able to see the tips through it, I was aware of this and did not mind but it was refreshing to know that he actually cared. Mid-way through getting my nails done, the owner, Rosie, checked in with me as well. Finally, the price DID NOT CHANGE!!!! This is a big thing for me, as sometimes I walk into a salon, see that what I want is a certain amount of money, and I even ask to make sure, and by the end of my appointment, the price is almost doubled, so thank you for staying true to your service menu!! Overall, a million stars deserved. I rarely get my nails done as I am a full time student and don't always have the time, but I will not be going anywhere else. I walked in with my mom for a full set. I was greeted right away. The owner, Rosie, did my set. She was the sweetest person. She talked to me the whole time and made me feel very comfortable. Trying to look for a new place to go and we thought we'd give this place a try. I was getting a full set and a pedicure. I had Julie she seemed to be running the place I'm not sure if it was just that day or if it's her salon. To start I started bleeding from almost every finger she was so rough. She was taking awhile to do the full set (I don't care as long as they are done well) the woman who was going to do my pedicure was getting impatient so they told me to go over to the pedicure area while my one hand was still wet and the other hadn't been touched. I walk over but obviously my nails are wet and they basically push me into the chair and start taking off my shoes while this woman is still trying to take off my shoes the other woman is STILL doing my nails. She gets them off and starts giving me a pedicure. The woman who was doing my nails kept snapping at the woman doing my feet because of the movement. I've never felt more on edge and less relaxed. I wasnt able to enjoy it at all. I went over to dry my nails and the woman told me they were all set. They weren't but she was so pushy I put my shoes on and ruined my toes and my nails. When she saw This she said she would fix it but there were so many coats on my hand at this point it was never going to dry. I was annoyed and obviously planning on never returning but it's not 3 hours later and these nails are just the gift that keeps giving because now they are even more messed up. read more

I went here yesterday to get a full set for the first time in years ( had stopped getting my nails done because I could not find a reliably good salon in the Buffalol area). It was a fantastic experience and my nails are literally perfection. The shape and length are *exactly* what I wanted. I had the owner, Rosie, who was sweet and friendly and funny and FAST but precise and gentle. There was never any awkwardness at all, the vibe is super chill, and I'll be driving back here from the city to get my fills because I've honestly never had a better experience getting acrylics and I've had a LOT of experience, being old AF. I HIGHLY recommend Star Nails and Spa and want to point out that I learned that Rosie bought the business just six months ago, so any bad reviews prior to that are not relevant. read more

What a fantastic first experience! Happened upon their location by accident! Walked right in! There are eight massage chair pedicure tubs and 10 manicure chairs. They use a clean plastic "Baggie" in your foot tub and offered me a bottle water as soon as I sat down. I went for the lavender pedicure ($65) which included a hot stone massage for 15 minutes and after my pedicure a 10 minute upper back and neck massage! I feel totally relaxed! I've been here 3 times now and I absolutely love it! I've got no complaints. I always get a gel manicure and ask for Lee or Monica because they are the best! I would definitely say $30 is a good price for the quality gel nails I receive. And they last a full 2 weeks or more and I am always working with my hands!! read more

I've been coming here for over two months now and 9/10 times, I leave with a beautiful gel manicure that can last me up to three weeks! My favorite technician is Monica (however I recently found out she was cutting down to one day a week so I've been a little depressed!!) I had a gel manicure done by Ken and a different woman. They were not as neat as Monica usually is- missing areas on the outside of my nail and uneven by the cuticle. But overall it's a decent manicure. Their pedicures are incredible!! They take such good care of their clients with extra hot towels, multiple free waters. The place is very clean and filled with friendly people. Even when they're busy, I've only waited maybe 15 minutes for. read more

I absolutely recommend This salon. I get all my haircare done here with McKenzie. The only reason I gave 4 stars is because today I found out, that if you get color and no cut, you have to pay 38.00 for a blow dry. I've never heard of that anywhere. So, I got a shine treatment for 28.00 instead and walked out wet. read more

Always have a great experience at star nail, the nail technicians always take their time and put a lot of care into what they do. I recommend getting a chair massage while you're there it's a great add on to your self care routine! If I could give this place zero stars I would, worst customer service EVER and worst nail job EVER IN MY ENTIRE LIFE. I'll start off by saying I know a lot of great nail places and I would never opt to go here but I was with someone who chose this place. Soon as we entered (there was 2 of us) they said one of us would have to wait 45 mins like uh no- but it was my only day off so fine. When a guy finally called me to his chair I showed him a picture of what I wanted he said ok. He then began to put nails on - I told him I wanted clear base nails he said he would paint over the white fine (but I know for a fact it doesn't give off the same gradient look). Then he began to glue them on, and cut - as soon as he cut the first two I told him they were off, he then proceeded to cut them shorter now they're completely crooked, he says "oh I'll fix it later". He does both hands after I have said I DID NOT LIKE IT. He tries to file them now they are no longer the shape or length requested. So he hastily cuts them all short and proceeds to glue MORE NAILS ON TOP OF THE NAILS - not bothering to remove the old ones. NOW WAIT A MINUTE, ha I don't want to come out the bag but I'm ready to lose it. He insist he will just file them down, he does the cut again and SURPRISE (Jazz hands) they're still UGLY matter of fact two times ugly now. I politely ask him to please stop he obviously can not do what I am asking and here comes the real kicker he charges me $10 that's half a set, for ruining my nails not once but twice. I'm speechless and fuming. I have heard complaints of this place first hand which is why I never bothered with it but now I've been duped. Always trust your gut. I have taken the liberty to post this gentleman's picture. If you see him run the other way and if you do decide to dare and go to this place: ENTER AT YOUR OWN RISK ‼ this place is a hazard site. read more

I loved Star Nails & Spa! I found them on Facebook and immediately I was blown away with the customer service. I sent a message and not even a few minutes later I was contacted back with an appointment time. I came in and was greeted by the wonderful staff. The nail salon looked immaculate. I have never been to a nail salon in WNY that was this beautiful! The decor was stunning! Rose for my set and she listened very closely to what I wanted. She took her time! We've been here so many times . We liked it here and keep going. We know what we need to do as well. The staff Mona kept convincing my husband to do expensive pedicure more than 3times and she cut the skin bleeds . It's so annoying and embarrassing. We are not comfortable about that. One time recommendation is enough for customers. More than that is so disappointed. Should respect people. I hope not to happen again in future. Because I like the place is more convenient from my house. And they have nice owner and other nice staffs well. read more

I have been here for so long . I like the place. I know Rose . She did good job. And I like Bo and Kain . But Zin took care of me this time . She was so rush. I chose green tea pedicure because I wanted to relax. But I couldn't even enjoy with the service. She did so fast . I'm so disappointed this time. I don't mind pay for the price. But we should worth good service at least. I gave 5stars because I like Rose , Bo and Kain . They are the best. I wish Rose maintains the quality staffs and workplace . read more
