Nope. Never again. I…read morewaited to write this review because I was so upset that I didn't want to overdo it. I came here on 10/16/2023 as a walk in at 10am. I'm in the market for a new place so I decided to give this place a try. The technician who did my pedicure was nice. I was impressed by the materials they used and how nice the salon was. I knew that must be why the prices were so high. Their overhead must be unreal. Towels with the salon name embroidered on them and everything. She even used fresh sliced oranges to massage in the scrub from the upgraded pedicure package. But that's okay, I don't mind paying for higher quality products and service. At this point I was very impressed. The issue came with the second tech who did my manicure. She asked me how I liked my nails so I was telling her. I'm particular about my nails-- the shape, the style... etc. But I'm by no means a jerk about it. I simply know what I want and I ask for it. My nails are my thing. I love my nails, everyone loves my nails, I get compliments on my nails all the time. They're nothing spectacular they're just really nice. Anyway, I was telling her what I wanted-- my natural nails are nice and really healthy so I only want clear acrylic or some kind of clear overlay on top to strengthen them. I clean at work and it's rough on my nails. They'll break if they aren't reinforced. I also like my nails ballerina slipper shape. Basically they taper toward then ends and are squared off. But as I was explaining what I wanted she looked up, said something to the woman working at the next table, and the woman's head flew up and she stared at me with a look of shock on her face, and then they both laughed loudly and shook their heads. I'm not the kind of person who automatically thinks that just because someone is speaking another language they are talking about me. But it was clear in this instance they were. I didn't say another word the rest of the visit. I gave her a terrible tip of $5. I gave the other woman $15. With such a personal service like this the end result isn't all that matters. It's the whole experience, including how you feel when leaving. Not only did I end up having to get a colored polish on my nails because the material she used on my nails was so cloudy it looked terrible, but I had to file away polygel lumps along the edges of my nails that I noticed once I got home, my nails were more round than ballerina slipper (no tapering whatsoever), and I left feeling disrespected and offended. That's too many strikes. I will not go back.

It took away from the experience, along with the water barely at lukewarm after telling him twice it wasn't hot. The location itself is nice. It started to get busier halfway through my service, and I noticed others getting drinks. The man at the front passed around tea, which I took. Had Alex or someone asked me if I wanted a drink, I likely would've purchased wine. Going to shop around for another place since my primary spot closed.

My service felt thorough and everything felt very clean and up to date. The selection of services and polishes is unbelievable. I have never been to a salon that felt so clean, no nail dust anywhere and the place was immaculate. I would recommend making an appointment because most nail techs did have clients and I think I got lucky but if you get the chance, GO! They also have a full bar if that's your speed and you really need a treat yourself day. This is a dangerous spot for pampering to say the least

I don't usually have cash on my but they do have an atm so there is that option. I love the new UV Gel as an alternative to acrylic. I've been getting gel paint for years but now they have a hard gel "filler" if you will that hardens by uv light. It stung just for a few seconds when I put my hands under the UV light as I got the initial full set but the fill didn't hardly sting at all. Definitely worth the results. I Love It here.

I jumped on it early in December and snagged us appointments for January 3rd. Turns out, it was worth the wait! My massage therapist, Janine, was wonderful and my mom only spoke positively about her massage therapist, Hannah. I always know a massage is good when I fall asleep... and sure enough, I drifted off for a little spa nap. Mission accomplished! I also loved the quiet room and the showers afterward, which really extended the whole relaxation experience. While I've been to spas across the country with much more extravagant amenities, Woodhouse is a fantastic option for Buffalo. I felt it was very clean, calm, and exactly what you want from a quality day spa. My mom and I both left feeling relaxed, refreshed, and very happy we finally made it happen!
