This dealership is absolutely useless. They overcharge and don't do the job correctly. Don't come here and waste your time and money! It's not worth all the frustration. The worse customer service I ever received!!!! read more

I came to look for a car that I have seen online, it wasn't what I was hoping for, but Richard Samaco found me my new car in within minutes! Not only is the car more than what I was looking for, but he customer service was 20/10! I've been trying to buy a car for the past month, I've never had someone like Richard! If you are looking for a car, get Richard! read more

I just purchased my second car at Star Mazda. I went back again because I received such wonderful service the first time. For the purchase of my new 2022 CX-5, Kyle Groom was my sales representative and I am so grateful for his knowledge, professionalism and easy-going style. John in the finance department was equally easy to work with and both made the experience fast, easy and even enjoyable! Thanks Kyle and the entire Mazda team! read more

9/16/21 Thank you Nathon, the service advisor, for your time, patience, and effort for going out of your way to provide a detailed explanation(s) of the necessary repair work to be done between now, and the future repair with the 2014 MAZDA 3 Hatchback, currently at 74K miles. So impressed when you, and your technician, showed me the Control Arms pending repairs, whereas the other dealerships , service technicians, just gave me a copy of the of the service invoice and the "OVER" priced quote(s). My son and I do appreciate the honesty and excellent work ethics at STAR MAZDA. Thank you for honoring the warranty, 'no question asked" on the left rear shock absorber replacement, repaired by a different dealership. read more

This was hands down the BEST buying experience I've ever had. Super upfront and honest experience. No curve balls, delays or unnecessary time trying to get the deal done. I shopped around and no one had the deal or the offering that Star Mazda did. Everything was done in 2-3 phone calls/emails total, a test drive and then a next day return to sign papers and drive away in the new car. I was literally in the dealership for less than 30 mins to sign papers and get the car. It almost took me longer to put in my car seat. Huge thank you to Kyle (Sales) and John (Finance). The process was faster than my Door Dash delivery that night! Thank you! read more

I love Star Mazda. I'm always pleased by the service and the people here. Kyle's my go-to guy. He sold me my last car in 2020, and he sold me my new car this past weekend. He's personable, attentive, and honestly such a pleasure to do business with. I couldn't recommend this dealership more. read more

Star Mazda is amazing. Every time I need a repair or service they always do an excellent job. Sam in service is the best of the best. The repair is quickly completed and the cost is better then any shop I've gone to. I highly recommend this service shop to my family and friends. If your looking for a trustworthy location then look no further. The service department texts you the estimate and you approve it. They are my go to for my Mazda for life. read more

I bought my car from Star Mazda and had it serviced there for a period of time. This is one of the most unprofessional businesses I have encountered in my life. After dropping off a loaner car for a service that took them over a month to complete, they accused me of stealing the loaner car because they didn't keep track of it and even gave my info to the police without notifying me first. I began looking for Mazda's after my car was totaled. I first test drove the 2019 CX-5 at a dealership in San Diego and fell in love with the car. I was able to get a great quote from the San Diego dealer that I was happy with, but wanted to look for deals closer to home. I started to get quotes from local Mazda dealers in LA, and was contacted by Kyle Groom in internet sales from Star Mazda. Off the bat, the quote I received from Kyle was competitive amongst the LA dealers. After informing Kyle about the quote from the San Diego dealer, he was able to match it and save me the drive! I made an appointment two days later to see the car and move forward. Knowing how stressful the car buying experience can be, I was not looking forward to the negotiations, financing process, etc. However, after a few minutes of being at the dealer, I was already so calm and knew I had come to the right place. Francisco was very friendly, greeted me right away and explained the process to me. I could tell they were prepared for my appointment which made the process very smooth! Before doing any paperwork, Francisco had my vehicle of choice right in front so I could check it out (Spotless, full tank). We did a credit check, made copies of insurance, etc. and then he sent me off to financing. Financing took about 10-15min. Don was very efficient and I never felt pressured to buy extras. After everything was settled, Francisco took his time to explain how everything in my car works. He was personable, honest, and knowledgeable. The entire car buying process was about 1 1/2 hours and was stress-free. I am so glad I chose Star Mazda!!! I was so worried I would have a horrible experience, but everything went so smoothly. Thank you to Francisco, Kyle, and Don for making this process pleasant. Star Mazda exceeded my expectations and I will continue to give them my business! read more

From the time I reached out via online sales through signing the contract, my experience with Star Mazda was top notch. I made an appointment to drive all the way from Santa Barbara to Star in Glendale as they had a car I was really interested in, and I was greeted with a smile and efficient service upon walking in the door. Kyle is one of the most kind, down to earth car salesmen I've worked with. He is patient and honest, while also guiding in the right direction. I could tell he had put my interests as a buyer first from the start. Ryan was easy to work with and, when it got to talking warranties, laid out the options and let me decide without pressure. Overall, I'd rate my experience at Star as one of the best I've had as a car buyer. Thanks to all involved - so excited about my new wheels! read more

This review is mainly for the service department. I bought my CX-5 at the end of 2021 and it lost power before I even left the lot. The service team said something hadn't been connected when it was taken off the transport truck, they "fixed" it, and I drove off. A few days later on a trip out of town it wouldn't start, and then when it finally started the fuel gauge didn't work. It also felt like the handling was off. There wasn't a Mazda dealership where I was so I drove it cautiously back, filling up every few hours to be on the safe side. I took it into the service dept again to be told it was my fault for leaving my iPhone charger plugged in (?). They said the charger can drain the car's battery. I believed them and even took the time to tell a nearby salesperson that he should warn others to always unplug their chargers from the USB connection when they turn off the car. (I also wondered if it was a known problem why I wasn't warned when I purchased it.) Then of course a few days later it stopped working again, so all the explanations I'd received from the service dept so far were wrong. At least that time when I took it in they decided to keep it for a while and consult their more specialized engineers at corporate. They found that one of the two computers that controls the car's functions wasn't working. Once that was replaced it became a reliable vehicle finally. However, it lurches occasionally, it's like the engine is stuck revving higher than it should, and it feels really sluggish. When I take it in for servicing it runs better for a few days and then goes back. I'm just overall disappointed with the service there, and don't feel the service dept is particularly honest or knowledgeable about their own cars. read more

Came into star Mazda today knowing I was buying a new car today. I even came in with a specific vin # I wanted to drive. When it came down to talking brass tacks, albeit my husband was agro, it escalated to a heated discussion very quickly. I left very upset and feeling like I was called a liar. In the end, the manager and I did shake hands and leave on an amicable note but I still had that initial bad taste in my mouth that wouldn't go away. Cut to, as I'm sitting in Galpin Mazda, I didn't buy my car at Star Mazda. We took their offer here, they had the same exact car and beat Star Mazda's "best offer" by $400. We've been treated professionally and with respect every step of the way here and I 100% recommend anyone buying a Mazda to come to Galpin Mazda for a seamless, comfortable and professional experience. read more

I purchased a Mazda3 recently from Sophia, and it was genuinely one of the best car buying experiences I've ever had. I'm glad I chose this dealership because of the transparency of the process and availability of the exact car I wanted. Everything from going through the finance office to final delivery was smooth and pleasant; they even took me home to drop off my car! Customer service makes a big difference and I'm happy to recommend this exceptional family-owned dealer. Five stars for Star Mazda!! read more

We all know how stressful it can be to purchase a car! From the many experiences I've had at dealerships, Star Mazda, Glendale, CA. has been one of the best experience ever! I can't emphasize enough how smooth the process was. With the help and guidance of Israel, I was able to find the perfect car I was looking for. He genuinely cares about his clients (oppose to others that only care about their commissions *from previous experiences*) Neatly breaks down the numbers for you and explains to you your options. Israel also explained how every single detail of the car worked, extremely knowledgeable and kind!! Oh, and has lots of patience (my family can be a handful)!! Definitely recommend to everyone! And Don!!! How can I forget Don!!!! The best with finances! Loved the attitude! Thank you all! read more

After having this vehicle for a year, I would definitely not recommend this dealership to anyone. 1. My squeaky/whining fan belt issue was never addressed. They were never able to "reproduce the problem," but refused to actually take a look at the belt tensioner that I suspected was the problem (based on my own research and previous experience). 2. When I mentioned the belt issue during my first oil change, the service manager immediately said that there would be a deductible for repairs under the warranty. That's not what I was told when the car was sold to me, and it's not what the Mazda literature says (http://www.mazdausa.com/MusaWeb/displayPage.action?pageParameter=accoladesCertified). It obviously deterred me from pursuing the matter (and others) more aggressively, which was likely the intended effect. 3. The cruise control on my vehicle intermittently stops working (50/50). This started right after my second oil change (performed by Star), which was just before the 1 year "Certified" warranty ended. Since I live in LA, I didn't notice this until I was able to use that feature on a trip out of town-- after the warranty expired. 4. Just over a year into this vehicle, two tires needed to be replaced, and I drive under the average 12k per year. The other two tires were at 5 and 6 bars out of 11. These are things you expect to happen when you buy a $5000 used car that is 10+ years old. This is NOT what you expect when you buy a 3 year old "Certified" pre-owned Japanese vehicle for $15,000. read more

Today was my first time servicing my vehicle at this dealership. I bought my car at Star in August and it was an excellent experience. Matteo was very helpful. Absolute scam of a dealership when it comes to service. They try so damn hard to upsell you on every little thing. They even told me I needed new spark plugs when THEY had changed them 5k miles before. I asked them to check again if they did it in my prior visit, and they said they did not do it even though my receipt from the prior visit says they did, clear as day. Stay far, far away read more

These guys gave me a deal in the rough car market of 2022! I thought Cerritos was the only place that could give a bargain, but Star Mazda in Glendale takes the cake! I recommend asking for Eddie Sahagun to be your salesman, he's a good guy who knows Mazdas in and out. And most of all he Eddie really worked to give me a square deal. Where do I start with my experience at Star Mazda in Glendale. As a first time car buyer, I was very new to the ins and outs of what it meant to shop, test drive, and negotiate for the car I wanted. After searching many other brands and dealerships on the Brand Auto Strip, I found a car at Star Mazda that I thought fit me well. The Salesman at Star Mazda, Francisco, worked with me to get the exact model I preferred while providing genuine and honest feedback about the car and other cars that he was aware of on the market, regardless of if it helped his case. This completely relieved the fear that I was being SOLD to rather than buying the car I wanted. We continued through the Sales process, where I worked with the Sales Manager, John, to arrive at a mutually beneficial deal for both sides. The negation was straight forward and professional making me feel relaxed and confident that once again I was not being SOLD to but rather buying the car I wanted. Lastly, Star Mazda did something that will stick with me for the rest of my life. After finally purchasing my car with Star Mazda on Sunday, I was diagnosed with an illness that changed the course of my life on Tuesday. I reached out to Star and let them know my situation as the illness would be removing my ability to drive/use a vehicle. Star Mazda showed the utmost empathy and understanding for my situation and reversed the deal, allowing me to return the car and receive a full refund. Rather than worrying about money or profit they genuinely understood what it meant to do the right thing in an incredibly stressful time for my family and I. I really cannot say enough about this dealership and its staff. When ready, I will 100% be back to find my next new car. Thank you Star Mazda of Glendale! read more

I just leased a new Mazda, which I am VERY happy with. I had the pleasure of meeting with Kyle Groom who took great care of everything from the moment I stepped foot at the dealership to the very end when I drove off in my new Mazda. Kyle was patient, answered every question with ease, and has a great sense of humor it felt like we were catching up with an old friend. Overall, it was an awesome experience I will definitely recommend this dealership and mention Kyle's name to friends and family. If you're shopping online for a new Mazda, and want a sales agent who's actively engaged and willing to help you through your purchase I highly suggest to skip this dealer! Customer service is by far the worst thing of this place. Sales people were very rude and they seemed like they could care less about doing business with you. I was working with someone, I had a few questions, he called me I was busy at work, so he emailed me and I replied back. Guess what. No response back whatsoever. I emailed him again and no reply again. I guess this dealership is so well off that they don't need my business. If you really want great customer service, I suggest looking elsewhere because in the end I never got a follow up email back, even other dealers would email me asking if I'm still interested or bought a vehicle yet, nope not this place. I ended up purchasing elsewhere. read more

Just got our new CX-30 at this place a couple of days ago. Kyle has been very helpful from the getgo, and very transparent in terms of price and financing, pros/cons on the vehicle we're looking at. And the most important thing is that he doesn't rush you into making decisions!! We ended up not making a decision on our first visit but Kyle has been very patient with us and answers all our questions in a timely manner. We ended up coming back in a week and finalized our deal. The guy that helped us out on financing is John and he laid out our options clearly so we understand what we're getting with whichever choice we choose. We never felt pressured into making any decisions and that was probably the most important part of the whole process. Thank you! read more

I was simply dreading shopping for a car. Before I ended up in Glendale at Star Mazda, I had been to a few other places and either their prices were too high or the salespeople were too pushy and didn't listen. None of that happened at this little Mazda dealership in Glendale. We arrived shortly before closing time and Brian stayed an hour and a half after closing for me. I know that's probably common practice but I appreciated it. I test drove a couple cars, and was looking at a couple that were in my price range... I was not excited about them, though. Brian took the time to look up some other cars I didn't know they had on the lot and one of those turned out to be the one. By that time it was late and it was tired so I said I'd come back the next day after sleeping on it, wanting to do business with a fresh mind. I live an hour and a half away, but it was worth the drive to deal with friendly, helpful salespeople. When I arrived the next day, Brian asked me what i wanted my payments to be like and he found a car loan for me that was just what I wanted. It was surprisingly easy and simple to buy a car here! There was one thing that would have been points off if they hadn't handled it so professionally: the day after I got the new car home I noticed a dent in the wheel and some tears in the rubber of the tire. I texted photos to Brian and he responded immediately! They of course fixed it for me and Jon (I think he's a manager) actually seemed embarrassed that the car had left the lot without that getting fixed. I just really appreciated how accommodating and professional these guys were. It seemed like they really wanted to be helpful, and I was given so much attention, time and consideration which was nice because it's not what you expect in the car business! It pleases me that what I expected to be a dreadful process turned out to be quite pleasant. I wish more car dealerships were like this one! I was in the market for the rather unpleasant reason of someone destroying my car and causing me quite a bit of pain and suffering. Thanks to this place, I got to have a pleasant experience instead of what could have been an all around dreadful time. I definitely recommend this place if you're in the market for a Mazda. Good luck! read more

I recently bought a Mazda CX-30 from Star Mazda. I had no issue with purchasing process and am happy with the car itself. A few days ago I received the license plates from DMV, while replacing the temporary plates to new ones, to my surprise I noticed the holes they drilled on the front bumper are not even. One hole is almost 1/2" higher than the other. This makes my front plate look crooked. With a little care and attention, this could have been done correctly. It seems to me Star Mazda has no respect for 30k vehicles and the customers paying their hard earned money. It maybe a minor issue, but I am not happy that finding negative surprises on my car after sealing the deal. I will not go back to this dealer for the future maintenance. read more

I recently ordered a Miata and worked with Kyle on a direct order to the factory in order to get the trim level, options, etc. I wanted. He was great to work with! There was a few months wait due to ordering from overseas which was normal and no problem for me (its my dream car, I can hang in there!), and then with COVID a bit of a delay for the car getting to the dealership. Kyle kept me up to date so I never had to worry, and I wasn't in a hurry since I wasn't exactly driving much. When I came in to take delivery of the Miata everything was straightforward, I got a great deal on the car and financing, and he even drove it home for me since I'm re-adjusting to driving stick and had a bit of a distance to go. They also left the plastic on per my request so I could detail my new baby myself. I really appreciated those extra touches that made me feel like they care about my business. The only thing I'd say is that the finance dept will try and sell you the extras (warranty, prepaid service, etc.) which any dealer will of course, but it's a pretty soft sell at Star, they break it all down for you, and they'll work with you if you want a particular amount of years on things. Personally, I did go with some of the extras and I feel good about it to keep the car in great shape and my own peace of mind. Overall, a better experience than I've had at any other dealership. I am so overjoyed with my new car as I get better and better at driving it! Do yourself a favor and test drive a Miata next time you're there ;) PS - In light of COVID-19 the dealership is having everyone wear masks, they seemed to be sanitizing regularly from what I saw, there's hand sanitizer available as well as outdoor seating, and they don't come with you for test drives. Lots of good measures being taken, and I felt the risk of being around others at the dealership was mitigated as best they could. read more

There seems to be a bit of discrepancy when it comes to Yelp reviews of Star Mazda. I don't know what others have experienced but my experience working with Kyle was second to none. I have never felt what it was like to have a no pressure type transaction with a dealership and the process was as smoother than I could ever imagined. All my questions were answered, they beat my CU's APR, and I even got a A great deal on some wheels. I know that it's the job of these guys to build rapport and make the sale and if that's how the industry works, they do it very well. If it's not, then even better. If you're in the market for a new Mazda, this place is great! No offense to any of the other salespeople but if you can work with the Internet Sales Manager, Kyle. Why just a star? Because star Mazda deserves a star. Just like their name. Bought my vehicle here late 2015, brand new... with added features. During my purchase I was told that I was going to have a free system update every so often even if I'm out of warranty. Ladies and gentleman, it's been almost 4 years and Star Mazda refuses to give me a system/navigation update. I was told by star Mazda that I needed to pay out of pocket a grand total of 600 dollars if I wanted my vehicle up to date, or get a new one. Isn't that a nice way to bring back your client?
