I had been getting my lashes done for about a year when I was about to throw in the towel and accept that they just weren't for me. I had tried NUMEROUS technicians at other salons and they would always fall out so quickly (within a week). I was on my last straw when I gave Mia a chance, and let me tell you.... I've never been more obsessed!!! Even though I have very sensitive eyes, Mia worked to take her time and worked to help me extend the length between refills. My lashes always look so lush and full. I'm a bit obsessive and like to go every 2 weeks but I've been able to extend them out 3 - 4 weeks plenty of times without feeling self-conscious. I get compliments on them every single day! Not only does she do an amazing job but she's one of the sweetest in the industry! Star Lash has a very nice posh look to it but pricing is extremely affordable compared to other salons. I absolutely love my lashes, this is my second time visiting to get lash extensions @ this location & they are just as perfect as they were the first time. My lashes feel so light & fluffy! There are no remnants of bulky glue & they feel as if they are mine. Usually, it bothers me to wear lash extensions because they can sometimes be too heavy, but not @ Star lash. She couldn't believe my lashes still looked decent after doing them the last time, right before COVID "lockdown" down started- severallllll weeks ago. LOVE MY LASHES even though I had them done just three days ago!!! This is quite unusual for me, because I am used to them falling out as soon as I get them. The style of my lash is very natural and not too overstated; and is just enough to make my hazel eyes pop!! Lily, my Lash tech, was awesome. She was very personable and informative as well. I like the fact that she explained the different styles to me when I couldn't decide what I wanted. The shop is located off Shepherd Dr. so you can count on traffic in that area. I've been getting lash extensions for years and was looking for a new place when I moved back to houston. I definitely found it! I found Star lash months ago through some google searches. One of my favorite things is how you can text them to book. It takes no effort and you can actually talk to them to see if they can move anything around. I've had different lash techs every time and had a great experience each time. They're so gentle and I love the cooling under eye pads. All of my techs checked in with me multiple times to make sure I was comfortable and they weren't hurting me. They took the time to offer advice and answer any questions I've had. I like my lashes to be doll like and I do their "Lilac" style. The price is also so amazing. I've found few lash places where I can still pay for a fill after 4 weeks. My lashes last about 3 weeks before they start looking like they need some help which is great for how fast my lashes grow. I've been getting my lashes done with Mia for about a year and a half now and I can't see myself going to anyone else! She pays super close attention to detail and makes sure that she understands what you want when you come in. Her method is super gentle and absolutely painless! I've never felt tugging of my real lashes. The way she applies the false lashes to individual lashes is amazing- even after two weeks my lashes look great and the lashes don't "turn" like I've seen when I went to someone else. Mia also cares a lot about the health of your lashes. When I go in, she'll tell me if my lashes are looking a little thin or not as good as usual. She takes her time to fill any gaps even if it takes her a little longer. Love that attention to detail!! She also has this great lash shampoo that I use to help clean my false lashes every day. I'm always a little scared to clean my lashes because I don't want any to fall off but the shampoo is reallyyy gentle & helps remove any gunk I couldn't get off with makeup remover! It asks for you to choose between four styles with a visual example. After I was taken back and transformed by Amanda. She took her time and gave me superior service. Mia is the best! Before her, I was going to a lash place for half the price was found myself going more often for refills. Mia is quick, but her quality and work is amazing. And she somehow ALWAYS makes me fall asleep lol. Parking can be a little hard at times, it shares the same lot as Jennis Noodle House, but I've never had a big problem with it.
