Very good lash tech loved the way my lashes came out!! I will be back and no I didn't get a discount for writing this review!

Will start this review off by saying that I've been getting my lashes done for a couple years now and have been to a handful of different places. Unfortunately, this is one the places that is a bit lower on the totem pole, figuratively speaking, in my opinion. It's situated on the top floor of an office building in the Greenway/Upper Kirby. While the place itself was clean, it did feel a little cramped due to there being only 3 small rooms for the services to be performed. There is no front office staff as the technicians will collect payment after services are done. Typically my lashes stay on and look somewhat presentable for a month. When I had gotten my lashes done here though, they had first started falling off within a couple of days, and then eventually they were all off by 2 weeks, which is extremely disappointing. I'm not sure if this is due to their method of putting on the lashes or the type of glue they use? I've been doing the same maintenance care to my lashes as I have been, so I don't know how else they would've fallen off so quickly. Sure they were pretty when applied, but the price I paid for them to only stay on for 2 weeks is not worth it. read more

I'm originally from NYC and I have had my fair share of eyelash techs, especially since I have been getting eyelash extensions religiously for 7 years, and for 2 years I have gone to Luxe Lash with Vanna. Personally, if I find a great lash tech, I am loyal and I do not like to jump around as I like consistency. Vanna consistently delivers great service and beautiful results! Not only is she very nice and accommodating, I enjoy our conversations while I am getting beautified by her. Although, sometimes I do fall asleep for the entire session, but she does not hold that against me, haha. And every time she finishes with my eyelashes, she gives me a mirror to check but I hardly ever have to because I know they look perfect. Browsing some of the other reviews, I would recommend if by chance you notice maybe something isn't to your liking, you should speak up at the time of your session instead of writing a negative review as Vanna checks in with you after to make sure you are satisfied. read more

So let me start off by saying I get my lashes done at least monthly, sometimes every 2 weeks. I decided to give this place a try after seeing a deal on Groupon and actually finding out that their prices are cheaper on their actual website, which makes no sense to have a deal on Groupon... anyways, I've been to this place three times just to make sure I gave it a chance, because I mean the lashes themselves are Firstly, each time I went, I was never greeted when I came in. My stylist wasn't really friendly and didn't ever introduce herself or anything. She didn't really communicate about the lash lengths or styles or anything either. Luckily I had already looked at their website so I was familiar with what I wanted (first time). Also, my stylist was talking on her phone all three times, having extensive conversations, giggling and whatever. Not very professional at all. Anyways, got the voluminous full set. The lashes look great, they could look a bit more dramatic. It seems as if the extensions they use are all the same length and width so they're very natural looking, not the falsie look if that's what you're going for. But they are beautiful and natural looking. That's not my issue. My biggest issue was that 2 out of the 3 times I went, I had to wait close to 20 whole minutes after my scheduled appointment time to be seen because my stylist was running late. I understand that life happens sometimes, but I got no apology, no discount, no words, nothing. On their website it states that if a customer is over 15 minutes late, they will reschedule and possibly charge a fee. Why is it that this happened twice in a row to me and I never even got an apology? The setup is really cute and comfy, and like I said the lashes are pretty, and I'm sure the other stylists are great, but I've given it too many chances and it's just not for me. read more

She did an amazing job. I went with the classic full set $99. I have very thin lashes which were very spaced out. I didn't think she'd be able to do much instead she went above and beyond. I will be returning for a fill with volume lashed. HIGHLY RECOMMEND. Ps: Take some earphones so you're not bored laying there along with a small pillow for your back for extra comfort. read more

Let me start by saying I don't know who my tech was so I can't give a name. But I had a difficult time communicating with her and that made this whole process stressful. I am not an eyelash extension veteran. I've had them done a few years ago and only a few times. She didn't really explain the process and didn't communicate what she was doing like my previous tech would do. (I'm tapping your eye, how are you, I'm just making sure the glue isn't sticking to your bottom lashes, etc.) I asked this tech if she could please tell me where she was in the process as she went along and she didn't. The tech seemed annoyed that I was uncomfortable. Also, when she needed me to move up or around she just tapped my shoulder and I didn't know what she meant. Instead of her using the fan to help with the stinging she just gave me the little fan. Well... I'm lying on a table and I can't open my eyes so using the fan is weird and difficult. I was just not happy with this experience. I think for me, for someone that is working that close to my eye, I need to have a better line of communication with my technician because it's different from someone giving me a manicure or pedicure. Finally, I'm not impressed with the final product. The lashes are all the same height. That's not what we discussed, or not what I thought we discussed. She asked me if I wanted volume or natural and I told her I wasn't sure what either looked like so I showed her a photo of what I had done before that I liked which had some curvature and she said ok she knew. But the finished product is literally all one length. I was going to get a much needed eyebrow wax but after the tech was obviously annoyed with me and given her personality I thought I better not. I'm giving it two stars because I acknowledge that maybe this place just isn't a good fit for me but if you aren't anxious or are a veteran at extensions this place might be just fine. My friend recommended this place to me. I bought a groupon 1 full lashes & 2 week refill. This was my first time experience. Made an appointment by phone and received a text confirmation for my appointment. They have a strict cancellation, late arrival, and reschedule policys make sure you ask. I got lost the first time I went there. I went in circles and had to ask for directions. Go to the Lobby, up the stairs to second floor, take a right, and its the first room to the right. But I still arrived 30 minutes earlier. I didn't want to be late. I love the teal wall color. There are 4 mini rooms and 3 estheticians. Bathroom is available outside by the stairs. My esthetician was Vanna for both time. I had good experience for both times. She explained all my questions and was very patience with me. She also told me they are getting a receptionist soon. So all the complaints from other yelpers about answering phones during your session. This will hopefully solve the problem. Vanna said my eyelashes are thin, fine, and short. So she said she will try her best. She also recommended I should get eyelash serum to make it grow. For the full eyelashes it took less than 2 hours to apply and refill took 40 mins 2 weeks later. She uses gel pad under the eye and some tape to lift my eyelids. I have hypersensitive skin and eyes. And I had no problems. She did her very best on my thin eyelashes and now I have beautiful eyelashes! It's painless process and I may have dozed off couple times. I get many compliments. I definitely coming back. Went here for my FIRST ever lash extensions before my graduation. I had an appointment with Mimi who calmed me at told me to lay back and relax. It didn't hurt, it was simple and over in about thirty minutes! My lashes have lasted about three weeks, and I am going to go back for a refill here in the next few days. The inside was clean and well kept, though hard to find. It's right across from the doula and maternity center on the second floor! I got compliments on my lashes for weeks after! I have been going to Mimi for eyelash extensions for over three years now and have followed her all over Houston. Her work definitely speaks for itself as she has a major following. My friends all go to her and a lot of my coworkers started going to her because they see what an amazing job she does on my lashes. I just had my eyelashes refilled and of course they look awesome. My eyelashes last about a month or so and the adhesive she uses never bothers my eyes nor do they cause my real eyelashes to shed more frequently than usual. Note: Lashes do shed like the hair on your head, especially if you are trying to cluster more than 1 extension on a single lash. My lashes are naturally thin so I always go with 1 extension per lash. Of course, not all lashes are the same. I highly recommend that you know what look you are wanting to achieve and clearly communicate with her on what you desire. I.e. Sadly I have to be honest and write my first updated review as a yelp member. Things have changed after the great first impression. The pricing and great reviews was what caught my eye in the beginning, but there was a bait and switch. First of all they make up their own pricing after you're not a first time customer anymore. They've told me they honored the pricing for both new and returning customers. Secondly, the customer service has gone downhill. There's been not only one but two times I've been where Mimi would pick up her cell phone everytime it rang to talk to her friends. I'm trying to relax here and the last thing I want to hear is baby talk to a kid in Vietnamese. The reason I wrote the last review was because Mimi asked me to help out and I did see potential and I thought she'd provide me good service. Last week I came in and she wanted to charge me for three weeks cause I was 15 days from my last appointment, even though the website stated 14-17 days was considered two weeks. When I asked her about that she said "Don't be cheap" Excuse me? Did you really just say that? My lashes fall out more since I've been here than when I was amazing lash. I think it's time I find another place. One that treats their customer with respect and gives quality service no matter what. read more

I'm so glad I found this place! If you've had problems with eye lash glues burning your eyes in the past, try this place out! I've been to a different lash extension place with over 80 5-star reviews for my first eyelash extension, and I remember thinking to myself never to get this done again because my eyes were burning pretty bad during and after the procedure. But it's hard to give up the dramatic change that lash extensions give. After reading one of the reviews that said this place's glue didn't give them any problem I decided to give a try, and I'm glad I did. Mimi was really nice and the whole procedure took about 45-50 min. And most importantly, it was pretty much painless and I even fell asleep for a bit during the procedure. They are currently having a promotion for their first time customers-$70 for a full set, and $100 for full set + 2 week refill. This is a place I'd recommend to a good friend :) read more

Pros: Easy to make appointments and its great that you can text them to make appointments rather than having to call in. They respond quickly and they have great promos and specials, just ask. Cons: I was not told what kind of lash was being put on. I was not aware how long or how thick they will be when I asked for something natural. I asked for something light weight and after she was done I felt like my lashes were too long, too heavy and only lasted me literally a week. They bothered me so much and didn't feel natural at all in my eyes. I got my eye lash done before and usually they would put tape under my lash more than once to make sure the glue fume doesn't get into my eye but sadly she only did it once and when I accidentally fell asleep I woke up with a pain in my eye and the fume had gotten inside. She was sweet and apologized but I am very sensitive with my eyes so that was kind of a sign that this place might not be the one for me. :( read more

I visited this place when I had my first full set of eyelash extensions done about a year and a half ago. I honestly love loved the lashes!!! And it's very nice to have your own room and it's easier to relax. I'm not sure what the girl name was that did my lashes but over all they where all pretty nice. Once I got there the 2 ladies were supper nice.Normally minks are a lot thinner that's why I never get them but theses were perfect in diameter and my lengths I got was 16's with a nice C shape curl to them. I can't praise this salon enough. Vanna is nothing short of amazing. I've been to several different lash extension studios, and I can say with complete confidence that Vanna is by far the best. I've been to both cheaper and higher end lash places, and this one just takes the cake. The price is mid-high range compared to other salons (about $90 depending on what you're looking for,) but it's worth every penny. Upon walking in, Vanna makes you feel right at home. She consulted with me on the kind of look, length, width, and lash ratio that I wanted and gave me the exact look that I was aiming for (natural, wispy, soft). Her application is gentle, careful, and crafted! She makes eyelash extensions an art. It was so gentle that for the first few minutes, I couldn't tell that she was actually putting lashes on me - the best experience I've ever had. She's also the kind of person who totally knows what she's doing - when she could tell I was getting sleepy, she plugged my phone in for me for it to charge and let me drift to sleep. She's also an amazing conversationalist too - it feels like you're just having a chat with your best friend who happens to know how to give you BOMB lashes!
