My hotel found Lashes by Ann for me and the high ratings they gave are completely deserved. It's not the most glamorous place on the planet, but I was looking for competency, not a spa day. They fit me in on a Sunday, knowing I wouldn't be a regular, returning customer and treated me as though I was their best customer. My lashes are perfect, which is not a compliment I give out easily. I've been going to lashes by Ann for the past couple months. Usually it's an enjoyable, peaceful experience. I've had both Emily and Ann do my lashes and they always are perfect. This past time I had Mindy do my lashes and it was less enjoyable. She had the super bright light on which made it difficult to open my eyes in the beginning when the put the things underneath your eyes. Usually I don't even feel anything when my lashes are being done, but this time I felt lots of tugging and pinching. When I'm done they usually hand me a mirror so I can see the results didn't do that. Which I now know why, because my lashes were going a bunch of different directions, not evenly filled, and didn't follow lash line. Lastly, I experienced burning in my eyes after this last session. So at seemed like overkill at first, but I came to appreciate it. Now, I go specifically to Ann. She is THE SWEETEST person ever! She is always a joy to talk with during our lash session. Rather disappointed. I moved away and came back to visit Houston this past weekend and was so excited to get my lashes done here again. Granted I used to go to the original location and I have never been to this one. The front desk is always on point, scheduling and everything. My lash artist, Mindy, talked me into upgrading from classic set to a hybrid set so they would be more seen. Then she completed my hybrid full set from start to finish in 45 minutes, which I would say is a red flag. I still got up and paid and tipped extremely well and left. But when I got back and further inspected.... There are plenty of lashes I can see that do not have extensions and also the volume fans are terrible, not fluffed at all. I went here to get lash extensions for the first time in 10 years and they wholly exceeded my expectations. With several technicians, it's easy to get a last minute appointment and they RESPECT YOUR TIME by being ready to go the moment you arrive, instead of having you wait an additional 10-15 minutes after your appointment time, which I find is very common. The technicians are thorough when they ask how you want your lashes, they take the time to understand exactly how you want your lashes done. The application was pretty quick and extremely relaxing, there was no pain or discomfort from the glue or the fumes and my eyes felt very protected the entire time. What stood out the most to me about this business is their dedication to customer satisfaction and building relationships with their clients. The worst experience I have had at an eyelash salon! I have been getting my lashes done in Vegas since 2013 before I moved to Houston a year ago, never have I had and issue until I got my lashes done here. I do not want to fully blame the technicians that is why I am not mentioning names, in my opinion maybe it could be the management that is providing a poor work environment for them to thrive in. The last appointment I paid for was a 2 1/2 week volume fill, I paid $70 which includes the tip. Before my appointment I told her my lashes were still full from the last time she did my lashes and I did not need to do the entire 45 minutes so 35 minutes will be okay. After the fill I walked to my car and checked the time, only 15 minutes had passed by. At that point I was not planning on coming back ever. A couple days passed by and my lashes started falling out and they looked horrible. I called so I can have a correction done, he said okay and I came in a few days later. The technician had no idea that it was a correction she was doing until the guy at the front desk told her and she proceeded to apply my lashes for like 12-15 minutes and that was it! I went to front desk and spoke to the male at the front desk and he proceeded to tell me that he did not believe the previous technician only spent 15 minutes on my lashes, he thought I was lying! he told me that the next time I come in they will charge me more money that a normal 2 week fill since I did not pay for this one. I was shocked at how unprofessional he was and I ignored him because I was not planning on ever coming back. A week later I make an appointment with a new technician at another salon, she proceeded to tell me that she could not do a fill for me because my lashes are in horrible shape. She said multiple of my natural lashes were attached to a couple of the false lashes. The false lashes were not applied one by one. She proceeded to try to remove the over grown lashes but my real lashes kept falling out along with the false lashes. She said the false lashes that they had applied were not even "real"volume lashes they were clusters of low quality lashes. Now I have to pay to have all of my lashes removed and a full set put on, never again! See photos below read more

After not having lash extensions for almost 5 years, I wanted my lashes done for a special event and this place truly delivered! I have been coming here for about a year now, and I am very satisfied with the consistent results and really enjoy my beautiful lashes. All of my appointments have started on time, they're very transparent with their pricing, and their online app is convenient for me. I get my lashes done by Ann. She knows how to work with my eye shape to ensure my lashes still look natural, but significantly better. I always get compliments from others. Some people have even asked me what serum I used, thinking that the lashes are real. I can also say that even when I'm due for a refill, it's not too obvious either because of the length she picks, type of lashes she uses, and how she positions the lashes. They have an app where you can book all of your appointments online that I use. I like being able to take my time to plan out all of my appointments in advance; that way my lashes are good to go when I have specific trips or events. I am a patron of LBA from the Montrose studio and have been going there for a few years now. The new studio is spacious, clean and is located in a larger shopping center that provides more parking than the other location-which is a plus. I like coming to LBA because of the wide range of hours and technicians available. In addition, scheduling for new appointments can be done in several methods, phone, text, app, online, etc. The staff has always been friendly and helpful. In the waiting area, they also provide water, K-cups coffee or tea, candy and cookies. Tips for first timers: ask questions about how to take better care of your lashes so it'll last longer. Keep going to the same tech so you have some consistency, but if you are not getting the look that you want, try someone new and tell the new tech your preference. You have to go upstairs to get to studio but an elevator is available. They may call you once in a while if an earlier appointment opens up but you're not obligated to change your schedule if you don't want to. read more
