HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE! Zero stars! Don't waste your money. Lashes fall out everytime within hours of getting them done..... the staff is extremely rude and disrespectful. Will talk shit They have terrible customer service. Lashes will fall out if you go here don't waste your time or money. I've been going here for a year hoping things would get better but they just keep getting worse. The glue will burn your eyes and they don't care about fixing their lack of doing a good job in the first place..... they will fall out and damage your real lashes. I was charged $172 when asked for natural with a little volume. I was given hooker lashes. Excuse my French but they were so wrong for 1) what I requested and 2)my face. During the install someone came in and told the tech "no, natural!"... so they were aware of the mistake... Within an hour over 20 of the extensions had fallen out. I sent them a message with photos. So the glue wasn't even helping them stick. Once they fell out my lashes looked a lot better. The following day when I woke up I had so few left that I took the remaining lashes off myself. I got a recommendation from a friend so came here for the first time to get lash extensions. To be honest, I regret going completely off a recommendation and should've looked more closely at the photos, so that's kind of on me. Previously, I had gone to a place in NYC to get my lashes done where it looked very natural and they really took into account my desired look/photos I showed them, and were much more thorough, asking me to choose 4 lengths, letting me know which ones were most popular, if I wanted mink lashes, and just overall providing me more guidance in how to achieve my desired look. However, I don't think Star Lash Bar really listened to what I wanted or asked me much about what I wanted. From the beginning, I really emphasized that I wanted something natural and cat eye (so the lilac I believe). They never asked me what kind of lashes I wanted (whether that would be mink or something else) or even let me pick specific lengths - she just asked me if I wanted short, medium, or long which now I realize was strange to ask since how am I supposed to know what is considered "long" or "medium" if I don't know the specific lengths especially since I'm not someone who gets their eyelashes done regularly? I also showed her a photo of what I wanted and said how I wanted lashes that were like more spread out, not too clumped together so it would appear more natural. But, when she finished and I looked in the mirror I was disappointed since the lashes looked SO THICK and SO LONG. I understand that perhaps this is some people's preferences when getting their lashes done but this is not at all what I wanted or ever indicated I wanted. Additionally, I thought normally lash places were supposed to taper the length, so as you get closer to the inner corner of your eye the length gets shorter but no, the length throughout my entire eye was the exact same making it look even more dramatic and fake. I don't really understand why this would happen though, because if it's cat eye isn't the point that the lashes at the end of your eye are supposed to be a longer length than the rest? I ended up going home and cutting a LOT of it off so now it looks a bit better. The individual eyelashes themselves too just look really fake, and looking at another review that said they actually aren't true individual lash extensions but a fan/cluster, makes SO MUCH sense now and I'm disappointed that I wasn't informed about this beforehand. Looking at a lot of the photos afterwards on yelp, there are a fair amount of people who got the same style lashes that are very thick and clumpy, but some people who were able to get the very natural eyelash look I wanted so maybe I was supposed to request a specific person. Also, in the photos to reference, this was a photo of the natural eyelash extensions I got from my previous place, which isn't clumpy at all and almost looks like my actual eyelashes, compared to what I got at Star Lash Bar (which is technically not an accurate photo since this is after I cut off a lot of it). It's clear that what I got from Star Lash Bar doesn't look BAD but just not what I wanted - maybe I have high standards but this is how I felt. Overall, I attribute my low rating to my lashes looking unnatural and overly thick as well as to my lash technician's low attention to detail in asking me what I wanted and listening to what I wanted. So, if you are like me and are going for more of a natural looking eyelash extension (and don't want to look like you are wearing thick fake lashes), I would either not recommend coming here or do more research into the which lash technicians are good for that specifically. read more

In the midst of the COVID pandemic, I needed to get my lashes done for my upcoming graduation photo shoot. I had been archived this business prior to COVID because I wanted to test them out for myself (very good reviews on Yelp drove me to wanting to try). I texted the number to schedule an appointment and my appointment slot was available. So the day of my appointment, I arrived early. My early arrival allowed me to complete their new client forms which included a COVID screener. The only thing was that my temperature wasn't taken even though the screener asked about it. I waited in the lobby which was nicely decorated with soothing music in the background. Once the technician was ready for me (I didn't get her name), she rolled out fresh paper for me to lay on and started the lash process. She periodically checked in with me to see if I was ok. The whole process was about an hour! What I loved is the fact that they give you the mascara/lash wand for your lashes to keep them combed and groomed. The price for new clients isn't bad at all and the maintenance for the lashes is also reasonably priced. Overall, I was satisfied with my service and of course we all had our masks on. read more

First off, let me just start by saying that I am a very minimalistic person when it comes to make up and cosmetology in general. With that being said, I decided to get my lashes done for an upcoming event and after reading reviews scheduled with Queeni at Star Lash Bar. Setting up an appointment through the Yelp app was very easy. I really like how clean and welcoming the salon was. Queeni was ready right at the appointment time. I specified that I wanted a natural appearance for my lashes and showed her a picture of a previous client's lashes that I liked. She was very gentle with the application and was done with both eyes in just under 1.5 hours. I had done burning sensation to my eyelids during the process, but definitely not as bad as the only other time I've had lash extensions done. When I saw the finished product, it initially looked much more dramatic than what I wanted, but she assured me that this was the most natural look achievable and that I just needed time to adjust to it. While I an still feeling like my lashes are a bit too dramatic, multiple people have commented about how natural they look, so I suppose that's a good sign. The lashes are lightweight and are not pulling on my natural lashes. The only criticism I have is that I would recommend payingg attention to the customer's comfort level during the lash application. Because a full set application takes so long, maintaining comfort is important. There was a point in the appointment where the the back my neck was hurting so badly due to the scarf I was wearing and my non-verbal cues were not being recognized, so I finally just had to ask her to stop briefly so I could readjust myself. I decided to try a new place for lash extensions since it was only 15 mins away and had a lot of positive Yelp reviews. I went to Nicole and went for the new customer classic full set for 79.00 and I LOVE my lashes. This place was clean, and prices are reasonable. I also thought it was cute that they had a little snack bar (darn it I forgot to grab some chips on the way out). I will definitely be a returning customer (if my lashes last, this is only day one). Oh thank the Yelpers for making my life emergency fixable. I called Mia and sent her pictures of the problem in hope that she could fix my teary tear up of my lashes. She said she thought she could and was able to get me in the next morning bright and early. We I arrived and she witness the damaged that the bombs of tears had done, she said it was going to be impossible to fix the mess, but she said not to worry she would put a new set of lashes on for me. I followed Mia to a very relaxing room where she worked her magic. She said, listen...no crying...if you cry, these will come off so be happy dont cry. She kept telling me this, over and over. I promised Mia I would not cry. When Mia finished her work, I looked in the mirror and my lashes were again beautiful. She had worked her magic so I could walk my beautiful daughter down the aisle. On the way out the door Mia said, no crying....but if you do in the next day of so....just call me and I will fix if something happens. I mean how sweet of her. Mia is great. I found out about her via yelp actually, and just texted her to book my first appt. he was able to fit me in that very same day. I took a break from getting my lashes done for almost 2 years. I had previously gone to amazing lash since it was the more economical option but that's what they make you think, they have a lot of add ons which are basically base pay for other studios so at the end of the day I pay about the same as I do at star lash or if not more. I've been to Star Lash twice now and had great experiences. I've had some horrible experiences before where I fell like someone is pulling my lashes out for the whole 45 mins. Mia's super good at what she does and there is no pain at all and my lashes always come out beautiful. Her prices are reasonable and all I have to do is shoot her a text to fit me in whenever I need a touch up. So glad I found her! My lashes appreciate her! read more

Don't waste your time here!! Customer service is horrible. I have been going here for about 2 years and finally had enough. Had an appointment with Mia. She's usually running late, rude, never says hi, how are you, stops to text and answer her phone but is very talented, so I still go to her and dealt with it. Appointment was at 12, still waiting at 12:15. I ask the front desk how much longer as I have another appointment. Mia tells her it'll be about 5 more minutes, so I continue to wait. I go back to the front and ask the front desk if she's somewhere else because she has not come to to the room. I let her know that if she can go ahead and start, that would be fine and I can be a little late to my next appointment, it's about 12:30 now. The front desk girl and Mia continue to text back and forth before she finally tells me that Mia wont be able to do my lashes today and we will need to reschedule because all of her other appointments will now be behind. Excuse me?!! I drove all the way from Cypress, sat here and waited for 20 minutes, and you're telling me that you can no longer do my lashes because you don't want other customers to be inconvenienced? I followed Mia here from her last lash studio because she is definitely one of the best in the field. I've seen quite a few different technicians when it comes to my lashes and they all have their own technique, which is perfectly fine, but they always come out looking different per the technician. I have to say Mia was the one I liked the best because of her technique, the look of my lashes after they're done, and the quality of her work. I liked how gentle she was when she was placing the lashes - she took her time and didn't rush things, which means the lashes do not bend and do not clump together as much as lashes done by other technicians. I never feel uncomfortable during the process. Her lashes always turn out long and full, whereas other technicians seem to take longer and their lashes are normally not as full as I'd like. She truly cares about her work and how it looks, so she tells you when you need to look into other products to boost the strength of your own original lashes so that they can hold the extensions. She is truly knowledgeable in these products and can make some great recommendations. My lashes normally stay on and look good for 4-6 weeks after the refills because of how intricate her work is - whereas I would experience more lashes falling out by the work of another technician with the came type of care. I love Mia's work and you will too if you're looking for a new technician to give you long voluminous lashes! As for Star Lash Bar, the beds are new and comfortable. They took the bed, the pillow and the bedding into consideration so that the clients are comfortable as can be during the process. I normally end up falling asleep! Blankets are available in case you get cold and the facility is clean, there is ample parking out front, and your appointment times are usually spot on cause they give a good time range between clients. Both Mia and Ivy have done my lashes and both do amazing work. They take their time and also help guide you as to which lashes/style would fit your eye shape/natural lashes best. I found out about Star Lash Bar and was recommended by a friend so I tried it out and I've never been happier with my lashes! Mia takes her time and gives you exactly what you want. I picked this place mainly because they would do a refill on top of another studios lashes and I'm so glad I did! They turned out just the way I like them and flowed well with the lashes from my previous artist. I love that you can text for appointments and they are very responsive so that makes it easy! I will say that my old studio would provide a lash bath with each refill so that is the only thing I wish they would do as well. $5 cheaper if you bring cash.
