Unfortunately I feel that I have to take one star away with this visit. Allow me to explain. First it was a rainy dreary day. Parking, Oye, very limited and difficult pulling in and out. It took a minute to seat us but not a big deal. Only one bathroom in the restaurant which was a bit uncomfortable. We estates on the rear deck where there are plastic or vinyl windows. As I mentioned it as rainy and cold and the cold wind was coming through the windows. They have heaters on the rear deck but they were not very effective. I had the Rigatoni Bollonese, which was very good. My wife had some kind of chicken. Not the greatest. I know they get good reviews but this day was a bust.

Made me question how clean the kitchen might be The biggest gripe I had concerned the decaf I ordered. Nothing to me can ruin a nice meal more than old coffee and this was definitely old stuff. When the waitperson came around to refill, I declined and asked if she could make a new pot. She had to confer with the cook (owner?) first. There was less than 20% in the pot. I have never been turned down in all my years of dining out. The ratings plummeted after this.

It's a true greasy spoon and the ambience has a nostalgic feel of the favorite moments in the past and fun new memories from the present. Food is always made to order, hot and fresh and you are not encouraged to just sit there and occupy a table if you are not eating and I appreciate that as that makes the wait time for a table not too long! But get here before 9am on a summer weekend if you really want to grab a quick bite and go before the crowd gets there!

Pretty busy and Nathalie was both bartender and server and did an awesome job. We got the fork burger, fried cauliflower and fig and goat flatbread. Everything was pretty darn good. The curry aioli that came with the cauliflower was different. Would have preferred ranch. Overall for a hotel restaurant it was pretty good. Theo wine and beer offerings have some good local stuff as well.
