I loved the handicap signs and ramp indicating they are sensitive to offering access to others. What they didn't accommodate was hearing loss. The gentleman serving me had a bad attitude and constantly on his phone. He made me feel I was a problem and he didn't seem to even want to be there, although good at tidying the place up. He was smiling to other people. I was constantly stared at by a young woman at a table on a computer and judging by the people talking to her, she must work here. The guy who cooked my grilled cheese was okay, but slammed trays around and seemed annoyed I didn't react to the buzzing unit that indicted my order was done. He brought my meal to my table and took the unit away. If you're a younger generation person who can hear fine, this is probably your place. I will say that the woman in dreads/braids is super cool to everyone. She makes you feel at home and welcome. Everyone else, not so much. Cool atmosphere, but ciders are just okay. I liked the sweeter wines better.

Last time I came with a large group for a celebration and they were very welcoming so I had to come back. Food was delicious, especially the salad. I love that we can pick our own tastings. We pretty much tried everything last time and my favorite continues to be the Fruit of the Bloom cider. And this time I added American heirloom to my favorites list, It is a perfect balance as described!

Once a year, Black Creek Cidery welcomes the public onto their grounds and holds an open house on…read moresmall business Saturday. This year, due to COVID, it was cancelled. But that didn't stop them from welcoming people to purchase their wonderful cider in a drive thru format after pre-ordering. There was a Google order form and Black Creek Cidery advertised on their Facebook page. I ordered two four-packs. One four pack of their Orchard Tea and Dry Orchard, and the other four-pack was mixed, including jalapeno, rat bastard and blackcurrent. Pick up was the first Saturday in December for a couple hours. Everything was well marked, and directions were displayed on the Google form, the confirmation that came to my email, as well as a post on Facebook. When I pulled in, I was immediately directed by several groups of people, all wearing masks. They were all exceptionally friendly and jovial. I pulled up to the main area, told them my last name and my four packs were put in my backseat. Bonus, each four pack came with a tote bag, separating the bottles and making sure they didn't bang around, as well as a bottle opener, because you'll need one to open this delicious cider. This is the only cider I'll drink and I'll tell you why. I have tried many ciders because I can't drink beer anymore, and this is now my drink of choice when I am in the presence of people drinking beer and when I don't want to drink hard liquor or hard seltzer. Black Creek's cider doesn't leave you with that weird phlegmy thing happening in your mouth and throat. They aren't too sweet either. They are absolutely perfect. I can't wait to try the other flavors I purchased. This is a family-run business and everyone who I encountered while safely going through the drive thru was delightful. You can get Black Creek Cider at local retailers throughout the year, but they only open up their home once a year. If you want to meet the hardworking people who make this fabulous cider, stop by on that day. If you happen to see this in your liquor store, pick up a bottle, or 6 or 12. You won't be disappointed and you'll be supporting a local, hardworking family business. You can tell everyone is passionate and excited about creating cider and meeting people who enjoy consuming it.

If you love all things "apple," you need, I mean you NEED to go to Wager's…read more I used to drink the apple cider from the grocery store - always tasted like rotten, fermented apples and has tons of perservatives. What an awakening it was to have REAL apple cider...straight from the source. The fist clue that you are in for a treat is when you walk through the door and the sweet aroma of apples smacks you in the face. I looked around for jugs of cider...none to be found. That is because it is "on tap" from two barrels embedded in the wall! They will fill any size container you'd like. Cool. You can also buy fresh apples, apple cider donuts, and jams and jellies. During my last visit I was told that you can freeze the apple cider so I was able to buy more to last until they open again....almost. One thing to keep in mind: they have a "season" which ends on January 31 and sometimes the days/hours change. If you are traveling here it is best to call ahead. They re-open in August.

We were browsing local artists shops outside and noticed people sitting outside with flights of some sort of delicious looking beverages so we popped in to check it out! We (husband and I) each did a flight of ciders, and to my delight the whole menu of options are more on the dry side. Bonus for me as I'm not into sweet ciders or wines. They also had a few beer options as well, if cider is not your thing! All in all, such a great experience, supporting local and enjoying tasty ciders!
