Wow!! If you want the old school vibe of the classic diner, this is the spot. The waitstaff were extremely friendly, attentive and friendly. They explained everything on the menu whenever we asked. They have dirty sodas and milk shakes made with fresh ingredients. Oh they also sell alcohol, if you want that adult beverage with your food. Give them a shot if you're traveling on I-57. Just your average restaurant, it's clean and friendly. The food varies , nothing outstanding.

I was immediately in love with the "traditional-diner" aesthetic upon entering the restaurant, but unfortunately, my experience went downhill from there. After choosing a table, our waitress asked what beverages we would like, served them, and then forgot about us. Another gentleman who sat down at the counter after we received our drinks had his order taken and served before our waitress returned to take ours. Improving attentiveness and table check-ins--especially during slower periods--would go a long way in preventing situations like this. I ordered the "Two Biscuits and Gravy" breakfast and was disappointed by the quality. There was a noticeable film of water or milk sitting on top of the gravy, suggesting it hadn't been thickened properly. Even worse, it had virtually no flavor--no peppery taste, nothing. More consistency in seasoning and preparation would significantly improve this dish. That said, my group also ordered chocolate chip pancakes, which were amazing. VERY FRIENDLY STAFF greet you when you walk in! Seat yourself dining. Menu has a wide selection of food options. I elected to have the AYCE walleye dinner. I am from the south so I didn't know what to expect from this fish. It comes with 2 sides. Ordered a side salad and a cup of chicken noodle soup. Salad is straight from a bag...mine must have been the bottom of the bag. All of the hard white pieces of lettuce were on my plate. Club crackers were old and stale. Soup is good...does have a lot of seasoning to it. It was a little over seasoned for me. Wall eye: This is the first time I've had it so.... To me, it was bland and the tempura batter was falling off of it. The first two pieces I had were not up to temperature...like they had been sitting waiting on me to order them. The last piece I had (yes I ordered one more piece in hopes it would be a better experience) This piece came out piping hot. It was definitely better but still not great to me. Fish was also greasy. Ordered chocolate cream pie as a last ditch effort to make this a better experience. The crust was very flaky and tasty. Chocolate pie tasted like cups of chocolate pudding with cream on top. Drizzled with Hershey chocolate syrup. I didn't eat all of it. I feel like this place has some good food but my selection proved to be a flop. Lots of people in and out...must be doing something right!!! Give them a try. Just don't get wall eye if you don't know what you're getting. read more

We stopped at this cute retro diner during a family road trip. Our family ordered a few different burgers and the gyro plate. All was very good. If you order it deluxe it comes with fries and your choice of another side. Lots of food for a great price. Service was friendly and quick. read more

I would never take anyone here. It looks cute so we checked it out and man was it hugely disappointing. Literally everything we ordered came out wrong. I ordered chicken noodle soup and got coleslaw I ordered a wrap and got a sandwich instead my husband ordered a turkey melt and got a beef patty on his. I ordered a vanilla milkshake thinking there was no way to mess that up but nope it just tasted like milk. I will say the dessert was good but that is not made in house. Over all the food was terrible the service was mid at best but the building is super cute. I will also add that I've never left a review on a restaurant before but it was just that bad I felt the need to warn everyone. read more

We met with out-of-town friends here for lunch. We were seated immediately and it was so nice they put us in an area where we could easily visit. Orders were taken and food soon delivered. Everything was excellent! Servers were attentive and very pleasant. We couldn't have been more pleased. Definitely be back. read more

The food was absolutely awful. We didn't finish our meals and didn't take them with us either. Gravy was too thick like paste. I ordered chicken fried steak... it wasn't chicken it was beef, and was very greasy. The cole slaw was hard. The chicken and rice soup had so much garlic in it that it was over powering. Talked to the manager, the food was awful and we didn't eat it... they offered a 4.00 discount. The salad was old and not fresh. Over all first time there and never again. It was a bad experience!!!
