So I'm that most annoying of things: a vegan. On top of that, I'm a teetotaler. So when I announced these things to my waitress - Jessica - I was expecting to be told it would be very difficult to serve me. What happened next was astounding. She consulted her supervisor, and the two were able to lay out for me what items were suitable with a complete list of ingredients and allergens! The sliders themselves use a vegan-friendly bun, and the patty can be exchanged for a plant-based one. The tofu tacos simply need to have the sour cream held. The sweet potato fries (and I presume the normal ones) are fried using the same oil as other foods, so people should take that into consideration should they wish, but they're otherwise okay. So my fiancé and I moved around the area recently and we are looking to try new places for dining experiences. This is the first in Champagne and we actually liked it. We had a few cocktails which were good. And the chicken fuatas as an appetizer. Which was REALLY GOOD!! Michele said they were the best she has ever had. I had a club sandwich and she had the gourmet grilled cheese with their mushroom soup. The atmosphere was quaint. And the service was good as well. Just had lunch here today. Parking was a challenge, but well worth it! We had a delicious toasty and filling grilled cheese with fries, and a seasonal special Portobella tacos. Tacos were loaded with delicious mushrooms, and topped generously with pico de gallo and avocado! These were exceptionally tasty and I couldn't help but clean my plate! In town for a work meeting and decided to bring a coworker in to try something different. It was very busy but we were seated immediately. Parking can be tricky, but we found a spot around the corner. It's a bar setting, but isn't too loud. We had pretzel sticks to start. They are served with a delicious cheese that has just the right amount of spice to it. We both had a slider and a side salad. He had the black and bleu and I stuck with the traditional house. As for the food, it was rather good, we all loved the idea of ordering a couple different sliders and pairing some smaller options as opposed to just a larger burger/sandwich. So I got two sliders and the chicken tortilla soup. Soup was great, little salty but you almost expect that from a restaurant chicken tortilla soup. But it was really the sliders that stood out. Super creative, tons of options, would definitely pick and choose sliders again. Also, special callout to the cheese curds; they're massive. These are the largest cheese curds I think I've ever seen. Came to the area for a work trip and decided to stop in downtown and this place was at the top of the list and reasonably so! The waitress was very attentive and polite. Food was amazing. I got my ribeye sandwich medium and it was perfectly tender, juicy and flavorful as it was accompanied by the horseradish cheddar and grilled onions. My partner got a pick 3 with their special Baja chicken soup (which he said was "fire") a salmon slider that he also enjoyed. Their drink menu looked great too but unfortunately I did not have the privilege of ordering one. The patio smasher would have been my choice. BlackBerry crown royal with blackberry puree and lemonade! Sounds fantastic. The atmosphere was very lovely as well. This place is a gem. The interior is beautiful. Our waitress promptly greeted us and explained the unique menu featuring sliders. What a great concept. We started with interesting drinks-the Lilly Pear and the Orange Manhattan. The pear drink was a little sweeter than I would like, but the drink menu was very interesting. Our waitress recommend we do the triple S combo in which you can combine a slider with soup, salad, or a side. They happily subbed out a turkey burger for beef on my tropical slider. I also had the salmon salad and tomato bisque- all delicious! Hubbie had the blackjack slider, southwest salad and sweet potato fries. All around a great meal and service. Seven Saints was a solid spot in downtown Champaign. I was surprised when I arrived, as the restaurant was almost empty, to be taken alllll the way to the other back room to sit almost alone in a little corner with the ceiling really low on part of the area. Service was slower considering I wasn't near the other diners...but friendly. The server didn't know much about the wine list, but I made do and the wine was pretty good. I had two sliders - the cheeseburger with bacon and the buffalo chicken. The buffalo chicken was significantly better, quite tasty. The burger was fine but nothing special. Sweet potato fries were good. Price-wise, I think the sliders are pretty pricey for what they are, but two are filling enough, so the overall bill wasn't bad. The room was sort of dark and dreary compared to the cozy front bar area. The floor was somewhat sticky and the bathroom wasn't my favorite... needs updating and seemed run down. Ok spot but not sure I would seek this spot out again as there are other good choices nearby. read more

Seven Saints has been around for some time now, and I think it's pretty well established that they do a decent job in downtown Champaign of serving upscale bar food in a trendier environment. We visited for lunch today and started with the Seven Saints appetizer combo platter. It's the healthier of the two combo platters that the restaurant offers. The olive tapenade was very good. The hummus was also tasty, but the bruschetta was just meh. It's definitely not a traditional bruschetta.. but tasted more like a pico de gallo. They do give you plenty of bread and pitas for dipping and spreading. The restaurant focuses on boutique, or gourmet, sliders... I had the Chicago Style Hot Dog Slider, the Bratwurst Slider and the Black Jack Slider. The Black Jack and the Hot Dog slider were very tasty. The brat slider was just OK. If we were going for dinner, and I was able to wash the sliders down with a couple of cold beverages, I might've enjoyed the experience a bit more. Don't get me wrong, our food was OK and the service was actually very good, but I just felt like the sliders could've been more of a standout considering that they are the cornerstone of their menu. read more

Have been there for several times. It is a bar & grill restaurants popular among the locals. Indeed, every weekend evening I can see it almost fully seated when I pass by. The restaurant has a huge indoor dining area and a small garden for outdoor seating. Kinda luxury designs indoors, and often you can hear customers chatting happily, thus creating a enjoyable vibe for dining. Since I do not drink alcohol, I only tried their food menu. Most of the dishes are good. I especially like their salad. Pretty interesting combination of fresh veggie and meat, and there's plenty of add-on/customize choices. Also, their soup of the day could be quite surprising and amazing. The sandwiches are in general OK, but the ribeye steak sandwich was heavenly! Basically a huge ribeye steak on melted cheese, sandwiched between two large grilled sourdough bread. The meat was super juicy and tender, and because of the onion and cheese and the chewy bread, it tasted even better than a traditional steak! Their tacos were, however, not as good as sandwiches or salads. I tried tilapia tacos and pork carnitas tacos. The taco shells are bland; for the pork carnitas tacos, there was only a little meat. Their sliders are standard which I guess could go well with drinks. Note that they also have some seasonal dishes such as the Sweet Jalapeno Glazed Slamon (a grain bowl). Service was quick and welcoming. With many good food and satisfying vibe and service I will go there many more times in the future. read more

Looking for a different option and found this venue quite appealing! After driving around three times found a spot right in found of 7 Saints! We're going to returning to Champaign Urbana a few times a quarter, need to locate the spots that will satisfy our appetites. Went out for a tour of the area, while we waited for a text to come to my cell, to let me know we're good to go. Spotted a Japanese Bakery which would make a different choice after dinner. Got our notice to return back to Seven Saints! We were promoted and our "Tour guide" for the evening was #003! I asked her why not 007??? She agreed, that's what it should have been, but here we are! The vibe was upbeat, with a "Saintly feel", Clubby with a subtle techno charmOrdered Two Orange Manhattans to start. Placed our order: 1/2 Slider with a Salad with a side of Onion Rings to split, plus I went with The Club Sandwich with Waffle Fries with sharing the Onion Rings. The drinks were well proportioned (Manly, as I call them). Service was spot on and looking to have #003 be our regular server when we return...Looking forward to trying other of their other options! Salmon slider was super salty and fishy, black jack slider was meh and the buffalo slider was not good. Stringy chicken and bland. Was recommended the cheese curds and they were not what expected. Had a thick breading, no crunch just a bunch of soft fried dough around cheese. Did not enjoy these at all. I ordered two of the mezcal cocktails and they were really good. I will say I came in 20 mins before the kitchen closed so maybe that's why everything was mediocre if that justifies anything. read more

We got sat waited 10-12 minutes to even get a hello I said something to the host, who was super nice, an he came right over when he was done cleaning the table he was working on and came right over to take our order and then the server came over nearly shouldering him out of the way to try and take our order, at which point we realized she walked by use several times without at least saying hi. Before being seated we had a short wait and went to the bar for a drink and never were acknowledged let alone helped. The drinks we got at the table were fairly strong and were pretty good.
