This is a very cool spot in Champaign. Dark wooden decor but with lots of windows so still felt bright and airy. Expected the draft list to be more interesting tbh (lots of macro), but the cocktail list was great. Appetizers were hard to choose from but went with the Seven Saints Combo (Seven Sinners was all fried but looked delicious). In the combo platter was bruschetta topping, olive tapenade, and hummus. The first two were great but the hummus was just OK. Was served with toasted baguette slices and pita triangles. Ordered a Southwest Chipotle Salad and added grilled chicken. Portion size was great. Salad was tasty as was the chicken. The chipotle ranch had a real nice kick that was pleasantly surprising. Service was attentive and overall was a real good spot. Definitely will be back to try the sliders next time! read more

Service was good for a crowded Saturday, we were sat quickly, got our order in fast & the waiter was attentive. The food itself wasn't very good especially for the higher prices. Tough ribeye sandwich, the Bavarian pretzel looks just like frozen pretzels sticks you could buy at the store but the cheese sauce was good, the sliders were okay but a little dry/overcooked. read more

While visiting Champaign, Il we tripped across Seven Saints for lunch. It is a quaint and unique restaurant/bar upon first entering. But in fact has at least three areas. We were greeted and seated in the initial area. At which time our waiter greeted us wearing his name tag as #33. We were curious as to the name and were entertained by an explanation and a name - Lucas. Awesome service - entertained with stories, recommendations and service. I ordered a spicy (but not too hot for a spice lover) chicken slider and 1/2 salad. Both were the bomb and serving size was perfect. Definitely a great spot to dine. read more

Great spot for lunch. Stoped in here on Wednesday and the place was hopping. The do have the indoor dinning room with nice looking bar and an outdoor patio. Food was good. Between the four of us we ordered salads, tacos and a sandwich. Selection of drinks including wines was decent. Service was slow. Our waitress was overwhelmed with the amount of tables she was responsible for. As long as the owners do a better job staffing this can easily be a 5 star review. read more

Went to Seven Saints for lunch last week. The mood as you walk inside is that of a church....but a cool one. With a bar. :). High ceilings, bricked walls and south facing windows and ample seating make this place very inviting. The food also made us want to return. I had a cheeseburger slider and chili - both were fresh, hot and delicious. The serve checked on us several times - just enough in case we needed anything additional. Great experience! read more

I was in a hurry to get a hearty dinner before a long drive back home to Chicago. I was impressed by the service and quality of food that came out. Quality- the loaded potato soup is some of the best I've had. It had the right proportion of bacon, potato, cheese, and green onion. The texture was rich and thick with flavor from the ingredients, and even better when you dip the sliders in it. I got three sliders, a salmon one, bacon/beef patty one, and a fried chicken one. All three were unique and flavorful. The only critique I have is that the salmon slider was a bit over cooked and the fries were too oily and had a slight stale taste to them. Quantity- enough food came out for the price. The most worth it items are the beef slider and potato soup. The beef patty was pretty big for 4 dollars and for 8 dollars you get plenty of tasty soup. That alone could have been a meal. If I were to come here again it would just be for 2 sliders and 1 soup. The other 2 sliders did not have enough quantity for the price. Service- awesome service! I was in a hurry to make a drive back to Chicago and they accommodated by getting food out faster for me. Atmosphere- it's a welcoming, clean atmosphere. Didn't like this place. The cheese curds aren't cheese curds, they're cheese dough balls and are massive, just ok. The chili, meh. The ribeye sandwich, meh, and woefully under seasoned, a little salt and pepper goes a long way. The basic slider we tried was meh, waffle fries are meh. I'd give this place a 3/10 cuz the beer was cold. And our waitress was gorgeous, which is neither here nor there lol. read more

Nice upscale bar and restaurant. Sliders are the thing here, gotta try them. I had a Chicago hot dog slider and was pleasantly surprised. And the biggest cheese curds I have ever seem served with a nice chipotle ranch sauce. The beef slider I had came with a spicy aioli and crisp pickles, all cooked just right. This restaurant is among my favourite places to eat in Champaign . The service is good and the staff seem as though they enjoy their job. It is recommended that you eat in and not order for pick up. The salmon sliders always hit. The environment is great when you eat in although I prefer days than nights in there because it's very dark!. We don't live in Illinois but we visit Champaign once or twice a year when we travel to see family in Central Illinois. We've eaten at Seven Saints about three times now. Every time is delicious. The wait staff are great. The cheese curds are a must. Lots of choices on the menu. I love the kitschy decor. It's kind of dark and gothic. I would eat here often if we lived here. read more

Back in CU to visit my old home town and alma mater U of I (class of '73, yes, I'm old) for the first time in 10-12 years. Shocked to see how commercial everything west of Wright Street has become, horribly ugly, a tragedy. But I visited some old haunts, starting with the Tumble Inn, of course. And a Coors rep was there working with the great lady bartender. So next, I hit the Esquire but it was dead and not very appealing (no offense), so I went next door to a livelier looking lunch spot that's new since my last visti - Seven Saints. And that same Coors guy happened to be only other guy at the bar, and we got talking and had a great time. He knows the CU bar/restaurant scene as well or better than anyone and told me that this Seven Saints place has GREAT food. So for dinner my wife and I returned to the Saints and oh man, he was not wrong. I had the salmon, about $13.00 and in any other city that's a $35.00 entree, big slab of perfectly cooked, moist salmon with a delicious glaze, then heaped with fancy rice, broccoli (perfectly steamed) and halves of yummy red cherry tomatoes. Absolutely fantastic and though it was a huge serviing , I cleaned my plate. Great bartender, (I think she was the manager, super nice and fun), cool ambience, terrific service - really a great spot. I'll probably hit it one more time while n town. Highly recommend. read more

Generally speaking, great food, but not so satisfactory service... I ordered the SWEET JALAPEÑO GLAZED SALMON and the Blueberry Lemon Cheesecake in their seasonal special menu. Both the salmon and the desserts were good, which had their own styles and unique flavors. I appreciate the delicious food! However, what annoyed me a little was that: I stayed inside the restaurant for approximately an hour, just for a simple lunch. And, that was absolutely not my personal choice; to a very large extent, it was because the server didn't show up at an appropriate time or come asking requirements in a reasonable period basis. Actually, no one came up to ask for my experience or if I needed anything during my lunch, and when I drank all of my water, no one noticed it and came to help me fill the cup, of which this phenomenon shouldn't appear in such a nice restaurant. I remember it took me nearly 15 minutes to wait for a server help me check my bill when I finished all the food...Maybe it's because they have too little staff to guarantee meeting all the customers' requirements, but I really did feel not being taken seriously, which cut points off for my dining experience that should have been more enjoyable! Anw, wish Seven Saints can further improve their service quality to comply with the great taste of the food as well as the nice ambiance. read more

In town for a conference and Seven Saints was suggested. It's a beautiful pub with a terrace in the back which was perfect for an evening meal with colleagues. Our waitress was friendly and helpful with suggestions and the food was delicious. I got the steak sandwich with sweet potato fries and it was amazing! Draft beers were 1/2 price and a colleague and I made the poor of ordering Hopewell's Italian Ice. Do not mistake this beer for a radler/shady! It was like drinking lemon juice with a shot of beer. I was pleasantly surprised with my visit to Seven Saints in downtown Champaign. First off, it's a bar so they have a huge selection of drinks. I actually went for the food on my visit. They don't have a large selection of food, but I'm sure you'll find something that catches your attention. Their sliders are probably one of their most popular menu items, and you have the option to make them a combo with their appetizers and/or soups/salads. I decided to go for their tuna salad platter and was pleased with my decision. Portion size was generous and presentation was an A plus! Our server was extremely friendly and attentive.
