Writers Room Restaurant - The image shows a restaurant interior with a library-inspired decor. There are tall bookshelves filled with books along the upper walls, and a collection of framed black-and-white portraits arranged on a pink wall. The ceiling has black and white beams with modern circular light fixtures hanging from it. The dining area includes tables set with napkins and utensils, with upholstered booths and chairs. The floor is covered with a patterned rug, and a doorway with an exit sign leads to another room.

Service was above & beyond. Pasta was made fresh in the kitchen. The ravioli & Cacio de Pepe is excellent. This is the perfect romantic date night spot that makes you feel completely separated from Champaign Urbana.

La Maria - chocolate mousse - A dessert is presented in a large white bowl, topped with a pink orchid flower. The dish includes a dark powder and a light-colored sauce or custard base. The bowl is placed on a marble table with various glasses, a lime wedge in a blue dish, and other tableware visible around it.

Desserts are perfect! Chocolate mousse is a classic French dessert. It captivates with its rich taste and delicate texture. Light, airy, with a velvety chocolate hue, it is ideal for finishing a dinner or a romantic evening.

Adelaide Cheesecake - A dessert presentation on a blue tray includes a slice of cheesecake, a scoop of vanilla ice cream, and a serving of apple compote topped with an orange edible flower. There are also crumbled cookie or biscuit crumbs and a small dollop of cream or sauce, arranged with attention to visual appeal.

The food was lacking. The poutine had chihuahua cheese, wasn't good. The burger had too many onions. I was disappointed

She consulted her supervisor, and the two were able to lay out for me what items were suitable with a complete list of ingredients and allergens! The sliders themselves use a vegan-friendly bun, and the patty can be exchanged for a plant-based one. The tofu tacos simply need to have the sour cream held. The sweet potato fries (and I presume the normal ones) are fried using the same oil as other foods, so people should take that into consideration should they wish, but they're otherwise okay. I ordered the tofu tacos and the sweet potato fries. Excellent meal! The music being played was Nintendo-themed covers and remixes, which I was definitely able to appreciate!

They were very efficient and our wait time was less than 5 minutes, which was a very pleasant surprise. The menu looked interesting with a lot of variety. Each of us enjoyed our orders. Mine was an Omelet with Hashbrowns and Pancakes, with an added side of Sausage Gravy. The Omelet and Hashbrowns covered the first plate and the Pancakes a second with the Sausage Gravy filling an ample sized bowl. Very impressed with not only the portion size (Which constituted not only that meal but this morning's breakfast as well), but the taste and quality of the food as well (very much liked the house Chipotle hot sauce-very tasty with heat and sweet!). The server was very friendly and did a good job! We had been to this location many years ago in as a previous Brunch type place, and the current iteration seemed brighter and more lively. We enjoyed it and would defineitly return!

Passing through the on our way home, we wanted to stop for breakfast before hitting the road and this place is very close to the hotel. Love that they have a Bloody Mary option. So happy that we were able to get right in with our 8 person group. The menu offers ample options. I ordered the shareable cinnamon roll which did not disappoint. Also had the elevated breakfast sandwich that hit the spot. My daughter had the red velvet pancakes (pictured) and liked them. They are a work of art. We have this placed bookmarked to stop at next time we're passing through. My guess is that it's no secret that it's delicious though.
