The menu is limited to signature offering of various dishes eliminating the tough choices between offerings. The daily special was a nice addition to the menu. All food was plated on various china which added to the fun of it all. My wife and I shared 2 separate meals and both were 10/10 in our opinion. Though it looks unremarkable from the outside, inside, you'll find a wonderful restaurant where the staff is highly invested in making sure you have a great meal. My companion enjoyed a lovely Old Fashioned to start. I ordered the Turkey stroganoff, while he had the shrimp and grits. When the plates came out, I thought the veil was finally about to slip. They were well-plated, but huge. And yet...the veil didn't slip. It was haute-cuisine comfort food goodness in what looked like a converted warehouse space. Unreal! Though turkey is often too dry, my stroganoff was moist and succulent. The sauce was much more than just cream of mushroom -- lots of flavor and not too much salt. We had a time of it. I'd happily come back here again and again.

We were taken to a booth and the seats and table were wet from the quick wipe it had just been given. It wasn't just wet, there were also lots of crumbs that had been left behind. As I looked around, I noticed that the floors were littered with trash and food also. Straw wrappers, napkins and bits of food were present under each and every table. I understand that during a busy rush, the staff probably can't take the time to sweep, but even after the rush nobody bothered to address it. There was a gentleman bussing tables who stayed "on patrol", though. He circled the dining room at regular intervals and made sure that dishes were cleared in a timely manner. I see you, sir! We were greeted right away and our drink orders were taken. That young lady was very kind and upbeat, which was quite welcoming. When she returned with our beverages, she offered to take our orders, but we weren't ready. And just like that, she ditched us! J/K, but kind of for real. A different waitress appeared and took over from there. She was efficient and took good care of us, but in a way, she wasn't as warm. She was no-nonsense and straight to the point. Our food was decent. My husband had The Special, which is a basic breakfast plate (eggs, French toast and bacon), I had the turkey club with fries, and my in-laws both had phily steak sandwiches with fries. The food didn't come out super fast, but that gave us time to settle-in and not feel rushed. It was quite nice and a change from what my husband and I are accustomed to where we live. We had a leisurely meal and caught up with old friends who wandered in and out during our meal. That was another clear sign that this place is a local favorite.

The peach cider on tap was excellent and other customers said their cocktails were really good. The service was good. We were a group of 5 and were seated at a 2 person table pushed together with a 4 person table. The 4 person table had regular table legs in the 4 corners. When it was pushed against the bench, this made it impossible to get to our seats on the bench, especially in a dress. Kind of a crazy design. I had the pasta and it was fine. Nothing to rave about and pretty pricy to leave still hungry. I had considered the cod with peanut sauce and cauliflower puree. We were informed they didn't have cod anymore and it was either salmon or tilapia. It seemed crazy to charge $23 for tilapia while salmon & peanut sauce combo did not sound that great. A friend did order it and was unfortunately disappointed. The cauliflower was so puréed it ended up being very thin like a sauce. So, she ended up with 1 piece of fish with different sauces on her plate. No vegetables or carbs to go with the fish.

I had the beet salad (how good can a beet salad be? You've never had this beet salad, clearly) and the French onion soup. Divine. The service from Sarah (my server) and the hostess and the person who brought me toast points with caramelized onion butter! was all fantastic.
