It took me three days and an hour total to order, receive, and pick up an item. 30 minutes before someone figured out how to order the item and print out the needed form. Three days later, another half hour wait for someone to figure out how to get the item to me. And I made it easy by bringing my receipt. I made at this Staples because of its location & proximity to work. Located in the heart of Westchester, it's on Sepulveda, but entrance and parking is located in the back of the premises. The store size is quite large, however the customer service is a downfall. In all honesty, it sucks! After I grabbed a few items, I waited in the checkout line for roughly 10 minutes, while the manager of the store seemed to look "busy" and a few other associates just stocking items or just standing around. Finally, an associate came and opened one of the registers. It's not a terrible store, but it doesn't deserve my 4 or 5 stars unfortunately. A Staples is a Staples, and I love Staples. The one star rating is because the staff were absolutely useless. 1. I asked if they had folding tables, and the staff answered with a mumble. 2. My biggest bugbear, not a single person offered to help me lug the 8' bi-folding table. Sure, I do look like a strong capable dude, and would have denied the aid. Nonetheless, I passed by multiple staff members, much larger, and stronger then myself. None of them offered, let alone seemed to realise a short dude was lugging a table half his size. 3. We lived in the neighborhood for over 14 years and over the years we have shopped at this store and/or ordered prints. Something or Someone has changed at the location! What happened to Customer Service, almost every time you ask a question or need help you are met with attitude, harsh looks and rude service people. I do not live in this area but my son and i stopped to have dinner nearby and then he needed to print some tickets to go to a concert later that evening. Very last minute--anyway the restaurant told us to go to Staples across the street. We got there right before closing time and when we went to self service to use the printer-- there was someone on the only working computer (Staples really should have more than two--esp when one is broken!). We asked nicely if we could just print 2 documents...she did not seem eager to help us...so i then went for some assistance at customer service. At the front desk-a male employee-dont recall his name-called out for David to help me. David right came and he helped us get the documents printed so we could be out and on our way. I really appreciate you David being so nice and helpful. Also Ahmed was very kind and polite. While I once had a wait a pretty long time to get some copies made (in large part because the day I came, they were a bit understaffed), in general I've had very good experiences at this Staples branch. Actually, I've done pretty well at every Staples I've been too. My corporate office has been using them for pretty much everything so I've ordered many items from this location and just about everything I've gotten here including two office chairs, a shredder, a computer desk, a three in one fax/copier/scanner and countless reams of paper has been price competitive and sturdy. First off, all of the employees that I have worked with at this location has been very welcoming and friendly. I have worked Customer Service for over 10 years and I will say that Shonte in the printing department has such a refreshing attitude and I appreciate that when she comes into the store to start her shift, she always looks around and greets everyone in her view! I have worked with her two times now and I feel as if I have known her for a very long time! While I was waiting for my order, a customer walked into the store and said they just came in just to say hi to Shonte before she picked up the items that she ordered! Shonte is so experienced with the printers and knew exactly what I needed before I even asked her. She gave me the best options for printing, emailing, using the computer, laminating, lazor cutting my flyers, and simply being a good person! I didn't know that Staples had so much to offer and I'm more than happy that I didn't have to go to several different locations like I thought I had to initially. I walked out using more services than I planned on, but didn't feel like I was upselled or convinced to buy stuff I didn't need. That is so rare now-a-days! Gloria at the Printing Services desk saved my life! I needed to get four copies of a 200 page final project printed and bound in about 3 hours. Office Depot and Kinkos weren't able to do it so I went to Staples as my last resort. Gloria said that it would be done by 12:30 and was actually finished by 12:15.. Without Gloria I could not have turned the project in on time. My entire team depended on her and she didn't let us down! read more

After calling two of these stores I was just about convinced their Customer Service is the worst. I was left on hold for long period which ended in their automated system hanging up on me. They are probably understaffed and have to run around the floor while the customer is on hold. However Juan at this location redeemed Staples' reputation by his diligence. I just had a horrible experience at Staples in Westchester. I went in today and was clearly in a rush. While I was AT the cash register - attempting to do my transaction the NASTY MANAGER RONNIE talked over me to my cashier while I was trying to talk to her as if I was not there!?!? What the .... I had been fluctuating between Office Depot (higher prices - bad attitudes) and Staples (better prices - nicer people i.e CHRISTINA, GREAT SALEPERSON) and I have not had any problems until the rudeness today from the RUDE RONNIE. Came to this location to buy a printer. Low and behold I had to look for someone to assist me who immediately told me that the printer I wanted was out of stock bec- it wasn't on the shelf. So I had to tell him that he had 2 in stock bec I actually checked the inventory online. So after I told him that - he decided to check his inventory and yeah he had it. Well the CSR rep finally brings me the monstrosity of a printer and off I go to pay. The cashier came around for her counter to scan the item but not once did she offer to call anyone to help me bring it to my car. Hmm. I had to give my compliments to Amelia at the copy center here at Staples. I called with a rush request for business cards to be printed in two hours- I was needing some temporary cards. They couldn't do it that fast of course- they need 4 hours- but I emailed a template over and got them printed on hard cardboard stock- about 20 cards total. Amelia was a star- she cut them out for me while I waited because the front machine was not working and she had a great attitude. She saved the day. Excellent service! read more

It was simply stunning on top of his expertise Staple's computer technician George was without a doubt knowledgeable and extremely courtesy. I stood back and watch his every move as he attend to his customers, it was a delightful pleasure as he explained in great detail for not so savvy computer problems to people. I came in with my brother for 2 phone upgrades. We went in an hour before closing and still got great service. The manager Shantell was extremely patient. We hit many road bumps on our end with our verizon wireless plan and our trade in phones but she remained sincere and kept a good sense of humor throughout the whole process. This place is really bad on customer service, I came over to print a simple flyer glossy shiny from my usb drive, there were 2 people on printers, 1 person was helping another person, I am next on line, none of the 2 with the printer were chatting, they were not busy, I wait until the person at cashier finish so i was next, I ask nicely to print what i need for my business so he insist they were busy and no time to print my simple 1 copy request... sucks very bad, 2 people chatting in the back and this person no time to do my request, not good at all !! I came back, two days later I tried again at a different time hoping to see someone really help me for my request, same situation, people not friendly at all, no customer service at all, i am waiting for my turn, same situation, no time to print 1 copy flyer for my business. I decide to leave the place and someone from the floor ask me if i need help, so i respond, it is too late i am leaving this place, nobody want to help me at printing and going to Office Depot , where i can get all my flyers and my business cards done.
