I literally searched every isle and end cap in the store for a "privacy glass screen protector" for my iPhone 6s. I was asked if I needed help when I was on the last isle near the registers. By that time I had a huge headache cause the tattoo' guy and gal in the printing/photo center were heard very loudly across the entire store, with non-work related conversation and laughing. It just wouldn't end! I was 1 of 2 customers in the store, about 45-1hr. And I'm pretty sure the loud guy was a manager or something. I'm never one to do any negative surveys and it takes a lot for me to be bothered. But this store was awful. read more

Intresting to find out that this site will not accept returns if purchased from any other stores.. they take me the purchased item to the orginal store i bought from... did not even want to check when i purchased (return before 24 hr) Staples return policy states return before 15 days to any staples location... It's the copy and print center that I had issues with. I went in on a Monday. To make 17 copies off of my flash drive. She said it would take her two hours because she had other projects. Okay. I asked her if I could come back in on the next day, Today. She said fine. She was in a rush of course. I left my flash drive with her, paid ahead of time and returned today. Which the prints weren't ready, and the flash drive just left in the computer with no notes. So it was shoved in a drawer. Yazmine was unprofessional and rude. Left no notes for the next day. Chris was there today, he apologized and printed them off within five minutes. As the only office supply store in Tracy, is my only option for now. read more

We were on a VERY tight budget this Christmas. We went to Staples for a particular item but it wasn't there. The next item available was $29 more expensive. We just couldn't afford it. The clerks Giselle P and Tina helped immensely by doing price comparisons for us and making it possible to get the presents. They probably have no idea how much this means to us. We will forever be grateful to these 2 women who had never met our family before but went above and beyond to make our holiday special. We cannot say thank you enough. Desperately need ink to print out some documents and was happy to find a huge Staples in nearby West Valley Mall - huge selection of just about everything needed in office supplies! Was fortunate to have a very helpful young gentleman named Jacob, who was new to the job but was so pleasant and "went the extra mile" to try and help me find my old account, and to sign up me up again for the rewards. Really, he had unlimited patience because I had forgotten the old phone number, address, etc, and he was soooo kind! If you need office supplies and more, this is a great place! The Christina who ran the copy center had her act together and could get you in and out of the store in 15 minutes. She left for a better paying job and her replacement has 6 people stacked up most times and doesn't have a clue how to handle customers. In general the store does not have that much product in stock as compared to the boxes on the shelf. read more

Came here for a basic portfolio print last Tuesday waiting 10 minutes to be acknowledged in a line of 3 people total. Was told no matter what services were needed "...there's like 8 jobs in front of you so it's not going to get done like today!" - keep in mind it was only 1230pm LOL! Then the girl says "...and I can't print off that anyways..." -I had a memory card that goes into any computer from 2006 forward, not from the Stone Age. So I purchase a portfolio book and planned on printing my own documents. I also purchased a USB drive for next time, a dude in the back was helpful in assisting me with, as I was in a hurry and had an interview later that day. Learning my lesson from the first time I return today (Monday) again to print an additional resume portfolio to be professionally bound and glued on resume paper and I was sure to not screw myself and not depend on their poor timely service evidenced in my first visit. The girl again is there from the first time and says she is leaving and she is training a girl that is staying to run the printing department. She says right off the bat "I think I remember you from the other day, you're still going to have to wait this takes a over an hour just for the glue in that machine to heat up..." I said referenced a different staples I previously visited and printed 2 of these portfolios in under 10 minutes from door to door entry and exit. The girl says "... well they probably have never equipment than us ours is old and doesn't work half the time..." not impressed at this time I'm pretty much wanting to leave however we try to access my documents in their computer and they can't access half of them because they said they aren't formatted right, keep in mind I literally just saw them from my home computer and meticulously checked and double checked they would open and be a mindless process of printing. So the girl leaves as her shift was done and leaves the new girl there that was "...in training..." so fast forward 45 minutes later the pages aren't formatted right and being cut off in the prints for the few documents that would print and the binding portfolio machine didn't "warm up" STILL! Sooo at this point I told the girl to print what she could and I would buy the resume paper and print it at home and again buy a sleeve inserting cheesy resume portfolio I can make myself. We even tried to print these from their "self print" machines and tried from both they just sat there loading screen for 5 minutes each when trying to calculate the cost and froze.... WORTHLESS, my choice word for my entire 45 minute drive to and from THIS STAPLES store and wasted 45 minutes there for nothing TWO times now for something that should be a simple care free experience no more stressful than going through a fast food drive through. Although the "experienced" girl I dealt with was pretty rude from hello, or the other new girl, I don't blame them their equipment sucks so bad it makes this type of service virtually impossible to fulfill yet they advertise it's "EASY" what a joke. They said they have put in countless tickets to their IT department to upgrade and simple fix their software on the computers and update their machines but no action on STAPLES corporate end...SAD. Staples has lost my business forever!!! I purchased the Turbo Tax download on Thursday the 17th, after countless phone calls where they would tell me the download would be there in 10-15 minutes, by Monday the 21st I had no product still. After getting the run around about my refund and talking with Presidential assistants it is now Monday the 28th and I have yet to receive my refund. I can't believe I have given them thousands of dollars worth of my business and this is how they treat me. Their customers mean nothing to them, and the easy button doesn't exist when dealing with them. Avoid Staples like the plague!!! I wouldn't ask my worst enemy to do business with them. read more

The new staples location is great BUT the team was a disappointment. .we were in there for 30 minutes searching for an item and when I asked an employee where it was they replied with an Isle number that was not even relevant.. searched longer went to ask again and no one was around it was weird.. waited at the print station and the lady called someone to help us and we finally walked away cause no one ever came to help..There were things on display stands still boxed up with a paper on it cause they didn't finish putting it out.. kinda disappointed with the customer service. read more

This location (specifically the UPS shipping center) is horrifically unorganized and staffed with incompetent humans. I stopped in to ship a few packages (Sunday Nov 30th) and it took 30 minutes to get someone to help me and then another 30 minutes to get the packages properly labeled. The packages were supposed to be delivered by EOD December 2nd. After learning the packages never arrived I tried to track them using the numbers on my receipt. Turns out the tracking numbers were not valid because the packages never left the store. When I called for an explanation I was told "Umm there was like a problem with a number or something but they will ship today". Eloquently put staples employee.... I then asked what the new delivery dates would be and was told "I don't know and I am kinda busy with other customers at the moment." (silent scream) I called back later to speak to a manager and he was equally as clueless and snippy to boot. I still have no idea when the packages wIll arrive. GET IT TOGETHER STAPLES. read more

This store has not very good attention. Unfortunately I ordered to print and cut my pictures and was a mess. First, I talked with one of the girls that said: "can you come back tomorrow because we will cut it and takes time" so, I let them some days to do their work and I came back two days later. When I came back the pictures weren't cut it !!! I mean that really was very unprofessional, by the other hand one picture look in not good quality... seems they didn't do the job very well. To end up this experience and learnt never come back here I just realized that one of the pictures wasn't with the mesure that I said... and the excuse was " the picture didn't look so good" but of course they could try to fix it .. in other places they do that, so sounded to me like they didn't want to do it or maybe they just forget what they client requests something very different . I don't have to accommodate to them, they have to accommodate to mine because I paid for that. Was very disrespectful.At the end I though to print some pictures really quick and bring it to my home to cut them by my own and was the best mistake because at the end the pictures were scratched. The copy and print center is a complete joke. Twice I have received an email confirmation that my order is complete so I drive out to pick it up and it's not done. I could not believe how unprofessional this store is. I had to drive 30 min to this store because they had something I wanted in stock. I got there at 6:25pm on Saturday July 25 thinking I had plenty of time to pick up the item I needed. When I arrived the doors were looked and the store hour sign was taken down. I know there closing time is 7pm. I happened to catch an employee coming out and he said sorry we are closed so I started asking him what there hours were. He said the had to close early because they didn't have enough personnel to run the store. I cannot believe how unprofessional Staples has gotten. I am absolutely disappointed in the services we received today. We went in to get copies made for programs for my dad's funeral services which are tomorrow, and we were told that the job can get done no problem. I get that it was a last minute request but when you promise someone to execute their requests, you better make damn sure that you hold up your end. We were first sent home to send a different file which was fine, because that wasn't their fault. However when they received the correct PDF they failed to accomplish what was discussed. Margins were way off, color was not the same as the example we were given, and there was no sense of responsibility from the apparent Printing Services Manager. To top it off, we were given 75 copies with only 3 pre folded the correct way because we were told they weren't folded correctly because WE "sent the file wrong". If that was the case, why not call after the first one did not come out correctly, were you not paying attention? We would have happily re scanned the file to have it look the way IT SHOULD. We will be seeking a full refund as this is completely unacceptable especially with our circumstances and the promises we were given. Price was not an option as we need them tomorrow and once again we WERE TOLD IT WOULD BE NO PROBLEM. read more

The staff is super friendly. We always get a "can I help you find something" from an employee. The store is clean. Employees are very knowledgable about the products they sell and they know where everything is located. Cashiers will occasionally carry a conversation with us. I placed an order 11/3 via the staples website for graduation invitations. The order was guaranteed to be ready 11/5 by 6:30pm. I got an email and call at the last minute telling me they don't have the double sided glossy paper that the website gave me as an option. The woman on the phone told me that I would come in to the store to choose either thinner glossy paper or only one sided glossy paper, neither of which is what I ordered. Even though they barely contacted me less than two hours before the order was supposed to be ready, she expected me to drop everything I was doing and come to the store if I wanted it by the guaranteed time. I asked the lady on the phone if she could get the paper elsewhere or if another staples had it and she said no. I called Staples customer service and they called the store and found out that the store simply ran out of that paper and they normally carried it, which the store didn't tell me. Customer service also informed me that another store could in fact have the correct paper and that I could order it online and have it shipped to me and I would be reimbursed for shipping. I then went online and tried to order the invitations and have them sent to me only to find out that particular invitation could only be picked up in store. So, I had to order it again and pick up the order in another city (also not something the initial staples told me I could do). This whole experience has been a poor one and Staples failed to meet the written guarantee to have the product I ordered on time. The Tracy location failed to notify in a timely manner that there was an issue, failed to correct the issue, failed to give my all my options, and failed to make good on the staples guarantee. I will take my business elsewhere in the future. read more

Today we walked in to Staples in Tracy with a same day request, my sister had used a home design software to create a funeral program for my dad who's service was the following day, a task we had put off because it was going to be a tough task but she did it. We printed it out at home and brought it in and asked if we could get 75 color copies printed out on card stock, the manager Erin gave us 3 samples of stock and offered to make copies of our print on the samples so that we could decide, we chose the one we wanted but were told instead of making colored copies it would be better to email the design in, we had our mom send it to us while we ran some other errands and we went back to Staples, unfortunately the file we had saved it in wasn't compatible and we were told that it would need to be sent as a PDF file, fine no problem, we asked if they could be done the same day she said yes for a fee, we were quoted $145. I went home, saved our design as a PDF and sent it in, called to make sure she got it and she said she did, at no time was I told it couldn't be a scan or we scanned it incorrectly, I asked what time it would be ready, she said to cal after 5. I called at 6pm I was told they were ready and nothing else. I get there to pick up my order and the programs are flipped the wrong way to which I was told was because "I sent the scan incorrectly but you can just flip them the right way it's not hard" why wouldn't you print one out and then call me if the scan was wrong? Why couldn't the staff flip the programs the correct way since I was paying extra for rush service? I understand it was a rush job but for the price I paid, if you couldn't handle the job or if you knew it wouldn't come out the way we expected you shouldn't have taken the job, you should've just made the color copies like you did in the morning because those were ten times better, the final product had our borders cut off, the fold was totally off and the color quality was horrible, I now have to go to FedEx Kinkos and do it myself which I probably should've done in the first place but I wanted to take some of the stress off of us as we had other errands to run, but now I know for future reference, Staples Tracy cannot handle the job and it's more important for the manager Erin to fan herself and answer personal text messages than it is to do a good job. read more

Worst Customer Service!!! Thhat too when there was only one other customer in the entire store and number of staff people floating around. I went there for some photocopying and scanning. After I had photocopied a bunch urgent of documents on my own I requested the girl on the counter to scan one page for me. She and her General Manager spent 10 minutes explaining why she is very busy and I will have to wait one hour for scanning one page. Mind it, there was only one other customer in the entire store and she was not there for scanning. It was obvious that they were not interested in revenue generated by one page of scanning! Short sighted people have lost my and my families business for ever. We should bycott such stores where people are not helpful. All my requests explaining the urgency fell on deaf ears!! read more

I mainly come here to use the print and copy center. Customer service has never been great but it's the most convenient option in Tracy. Today I brought some flyers I printed to be trimmed. It literally takes 1 minute for their machine to trim it. They increased the cost (from $1 per cut to $3) but I was willing to pay. Then they said it's a $15 rush fee to get it done today. I asked why when I've never had to pay a rush fee before. I was told they have a new automated system and anything needing to be done the same day incurs a rush fee. I asked if they were backed up with jobs and was told no, they had no jobs in the queue. I asked for a manager to override the fee and spoke with Zack. He confirmed they have the new automated system and if I wanted my items trimmed today I had to pay a rush fee, even though they have no pending jobs. Completely ridiculous. I will not shop there or use their services again. read more

I went to staples on 2017/02/05 to look at available electronics (PC's, thumb drives, power devices, etc.) like I usually do at similar stores (BestBuy, Walmart, and other gadget places where patrons are treated much more fairly) to see what's new that could help me personally and professionally. Initially a male store worker approached me and asked if I needed any help finding anything, I asked if he could aid me in locating an electrical outlet monitoring plug, to which after looking around for approximately 2 minutes, he stated that they do not carry that item in store but if I went online, I would be able to purchase the item there. I wasn't in any type of rush and I already knew what I wanted to purchase from my phone's shopping list in my hand with my checklist of items that I needed to get. So I browse around, seeing what's new and looking up details of items that I came across in store in order to make a more better informed purchased. About 4 minutes later the store manager approached and asked if she could help me find something, I said "no thanks, I'm just looking around". I was followed around the entire time I was in the store, down every aisle that I had visited and I even alerted to the lady that I had noticed what she was doing. But what topped of my visit to this location was that the police were called on me. I noticed the officer watching me shortly thereafter for approximately 10 mins before I decided to put items back except for one and proceeded to the checkout lane. I asked the cashier during checkout "do you all offer law enforcement and military discounts?" (I am prior Law Enforcement and currently an Active Duty Soldier of 18yrs) The cashier stated "no, we don't", which I found to be untrue due to me having gone there previously in uniform and they offered a discount at this location. I looked up, only to see another officer at the door. I was disgusted! I paid for my purchase and entered my information into my check register and proceeded out the door, only to be followed out by one of the officers. I entered my vehicle and departed the premises and witnessed another patrol car arriving in front of me which I have on my vehicles surveillance camera. I have never encountered anything like this before, in my life, within my own country! I hope that no one will ever have to endure this type of discrimination. Not once did anyone within the store ask me to leave, not once did anyone in the store try to assist me with an answer other than "oh, we have that online, if you want we can order it then have it shipped to your home or to the store for pickup", I am fully aware of our country's technological advances as my career field is Information Technology. But it is NEVER safe to ASSUME that whoever walks through the doors of any business is less knowledgeable than the people that are employed by that business. I have filed a complaint with the BBB. I do have a lawyer and there will be a follow up in reference to this matter. read more
