Got a call from her to let me know that my email didn't go though and they couldn't print it until it was in there system. After a second attempt and an hour later, I called and spoke with Tony. He said that my email still hasn't gone through. He suggested for me to come in the store and that he'll figure out what's going on. My paper work was printed and he was a very big help! I wish i could give 0 stars. I went to get some pages printed, nothing special at all! Once they were ready the girl told me it was going to be $191 for 200 pages! I asked what the price breakdown was and she said .59 per page plus 30% for doing it today. Every employee was standing around doing nothing? I checked online at staples.com and it says for 200 copies it's .32 per page and It doesn't say anything anywhere about an additional 30%! I am going to buy a new printer and paper for a half of the price and do it myself. NO WONDER THEY HAVE NO BUSINESS! read more

My computer bag broke and it was stuck in the car because it was too heavy to carry into my office. I wanted to go to Office Max where I bought it originally because I knew they would have the largest selection to choose from, but the closest one was miles from the job site and all I had was an hour for lunch, so I looked up all the office supply stores in Simi Valley and Staples was the closest one. I could of burned through the majority of my lunch hour shopping but with the help of customer service Superman Joe, he located all of the wheeled bags for 17 inch laptops, pulled them off of the shelf and in about 10 minutes out of a choice of about 4, I decided on a bag that suited my needs. It actually took longer to wait in line and pay for the bag than it did to choose one. I had so much time left that on my way back to work, I drove down to Quizno's and bought myself lunch. This store was well stocked and felt clean. I was greeted quickly when I walked in with my husband. We headed for the clearance furniture in the back of the store. Sean asked us if we had any questions. We inquired about two office chairs on the sales floor. He assisted in getting two of these chairs put on hold at another store nearby as we requested them to be brand new, still in the box. He was on hold with an associate at the other store for over 10 minutes, but he stayed in the game to help us get what we wanted. Sean is a rockstar! read more

Saw an iPad Air in their ad for $359 tried to buy online but no way to add it to my cart go into the store and they say they don't carry them try ordering them online. So I finally am able to add it to my cart but at $50 higher, I ask them what happened to the price listed on the front page of the website and the print ad I received, I want the lower price , all I got was sorry those prices are listed wrong in two places the higher price you see is correct. A few days ago I visited this staples location. While standing in line the cashier encountered a difficult return. She called over the manager for help who came over and was beyond rude to her cashier (Kim I think) practically yelling at her that she couldn't believe she didn't know how to do this type of return etc.. I than felt embarrassed for the cashier because this lady Janet was the MANAGER, and was humiliating her in front of other customers. I was very pleased with my purchase at Staples today. I came in looking for a new chair that I really needed for my home office, and I was excited to find the right chair that was very affordable and fit my needs perfectly. A very nice associate named Bobby helped get the chair for me from their stockroom, and he even helped carry it to my car after I purchased it. I went here twice. The first time I was very much underwhelmed by the service. They were understaffed and the employee helping me did not handle the stress very well. I asked her how her day was going in an attempt to cheer her up, but she just complained. There is an emergency exit door that looks like a regular exit door that I accidentally used. It says EMERGENCY EXIT right on the door so that was my fault, but the reaction from the employees put me off. I did not make the stressful employee's day go any better, and she failed to rise to the occasion. Another employee walked by me and looked at my like I did something wrong, which definitely put me off. The second time I went was for lack of options. It was a slower day and a new employee helped me with their print services. She was very helpful. However, at times she seemed to be more occupied with talking to another employee than giving me what I needed quicker. She also discussed with the other employee how she can't wait to get off her shift after she helps me, and that she was going to get wasted. I don't like feeling that I am holding anybody up, especially if I'm their customer. read more

I don't normally go to staples but I went awhile ago, a nice guy named Cody helped me out. He was very knowledgeable on all the products we were talking about, he knows his stuff. I came back recently and I'm happy to hear that he is now a manager at Staples. That was a good choice. Such a friendly guy that deserves that position, he defiantly worked for it if he helped other people the way that he helped me. I'm glad someone saw what he was capable of and now I can't wait to go back and chat with my new friend about printer ink or pencils or paper! He made my trip there worth it and fun!!!! read more

Suzanne who assisted me on two different days one of them being Mother's Day in the copy center was the most helpful and pleasant person I've dealt with in customer service in a long time. This Staples rocks! They had what I needed in stock (like the website said it would). Also, the copy center helped me out with a little problem, and was kind enough to do on the house. Had a coupon I wanted to use. First time I called they said they would have a shipment later in the week, but no tablets were on the shipment. Coupon is only for in-store use, so cannot use online. Later they said check the internet, and later they would allow me to buy it instore through there. Call back once it was available online, and now they said they won't. They have horrible stock, and it felt like I got the runaround and wasted my time. Horrible over the phone customer service. I don't think anybody here knows what they're doing. read more

I frequent Staples, so I know my way around pretty well. They were pretty busy helping each other out and there was no one on the floor to help me find what i was looking for, but I asked the cashier if he could help me out and he helped me make sure I was walking out with the right stuff! I come here a few times a year for office supplies for my business. Every time I am in here, I am picking up a case of paper. I'm not a very big person so trying to lift a case into a cart is difficult. There have been so many instances where staff has walked by me and no one ever offers to help me. And for the few times I am in there looking completely lost, again, no one helps me. They do have a decent selection which is why it gets two stars. read more

Bought an item, price matched and applied reward certificate. System accepted the reward and final price came down. My card didn't go through and I was about to try another card. Manager interrupted and said that they cannot price match and apply coupon for an item. I explained manager that it is a reward certificate and not a coupon. Second thing, the system already accepted the reward and reduced the price. But manager was stubborn in his statement and never bothered to listen and sort out customer concern. Ok, so we were out of toner and I went online to see who carried it. Called Staples and spoke with a lady and she said that they had it. I told her I would be down to pick it up. When I got there I went right to the toner section but couldn't find it. I looked for a good 5 minutes and was disappointed. I went up to the counter and just before I could finish my sentence about them not having it, the young lady I spoke with said "Oh, its right here. I placed it aside for you and this was the last one." I asked if she was the one I spoke with and she said yes. A big thanks to Katie! Purchased software download of HR Block software at Staples.com and download would not function nor was activation code provided in follow up email. Went to store and manager could not help because of no refund on download policy. Two hours on hold with HR and no answer. Over an hour on two calls to Staples support and they could not help because tech left already. Only wanted store credit so I could pay the $20 extra for box set but nothing anyone could do about it. The sales people there have always been friendly and helpful. I use a lot of ink products and they have always had what I need. They've also helped me with some unusual or large print jobs and although sometimes need help with the precision stuff, they've handled it very well. The copy center has always gone out of their way to get my work done, AND help save me money doing it by suggesting more cost-effective ways to put things together. I do five labor-intensive mailers a year with a combination of single sided, double sided, some color, and some black and white fliers that get mailed to 600 plus addresses. They make the copies, tri-fold them, stuff the envelopes, and address all of these quickly and accurately without fail. Thank you Tony for taking all of these complicated demands in stride! This place has gone down hill and I am bummed now that I have started teaching and need school and office supplies on a regular basis. Both copiers were out of order, but the girl running the copier behind the desk was very friendly and helpful. The cashier at the check out lane was very rude however. She was on the phone talking loudly and shouting questions across the store to other associates as I stood there. Then when she got off the phone no greeting or sorry about that just scanned my item and asked if I was a member. I said no and then she snapped at me for inserting my card too early then snapped saying it's ready. I still smile and say thank you because retail mentality is so engrained in my brain. However what I am most upset about is that they carpeted the store!!!! It is cheap blue carpet that has that awful new carpet smell. I used to love the smell of Staples with fresh paper and plastic! I used to pass the store and pop in just to smell it. Now it smells like awful carpeting! I hope the office supplies smell returns but I have no idea why they went with carpet. read more
