We visited this Staples yesterday as it was on our way back from Cape Cod. Located in a relatively small shopping center, one wouldn't know that this store was here if not for the sign. The exterior appearances of the shops fits with the style of the town. This Staples wasn't very large and there was a lack of associates on the floor. Fortunately, we were able to get assistance from the tech associate at the tech desk. He was quite energetic while still maintaining his patience with uncertain customer before us. I had a bulky item (dehumidifier) to return to Amazon. I brought it to the UPS store in Harwich Friday and they refused it because they couldn't scan my printed label. I then brought it to the Staples printing and shipping service yesterday and the young lady working there prepared the label and took the shipment. The young man took a cart out to my vehicle and brought the item in. Your two employees working in that section yesterday afternoon were very pleasant and helpful, unlike the UPS store. I will certainly use their services again when needed. I also bought two items for my printer and again received excellent service from another employee in locating them in the store. read more

Employee behind the register was wonderful but the coworker screamed at me for trying to look at the monitors as I politely said I would try to make my selection, she decided to scream at me from the room "NO YOU ARE COMING OVER HERE TO SEE WHAT I HAVE" she was very visibly angry that I wanted to just look at the monitors. I get you only have what you have just be nice about it. No harm done she may have been having a bad day. But I work in retail and I would never treat a customer that way even if I am having a rough day read more

Wow! I've never had a problem here, but I'm just a simple local girl who apparently is here to entertain the much more intelligent city folk. Some days I don't know how we survive. I've had many print jobs done with no issue. They are always accommodating and get things done quickly, but I speak to the staff with respect so maybe that's the key. This place is your typical Staples: price gauging, no employees in sight, only one register open with a long line. However, magically, they managed to hire a gem ... ask for Peter, he's fast, smart, kind, patient, gets you immediate help, & smiles a lot (unlike the other employees who lecture you on what a bad customer you are). read more

Seen they fixed cracked phone screens. Call and spoke to Jon, was told it would take about 45 minutes. Few days later stopped in and dropped it off. 1 and half hour later was handed back my phone. Now it has the vertical lines and unusable. They take it back and 20 minutes later return and tell me it has a stripped screw and they would have to ship it out. A screw they would of had to remove before is now stripped? Went to the guy in the mall with it. 20 minutes later fixed and working no stripped screw. Incompetents and lazy! Beware! read more

Horrible service. Went in on a Monday 6:45 pm. Me and 1 other customer in the store. The other customer was browsing in the back. I waited at the register for 10 minutes yelling "hello" and no one came to check me out. Debated whether or not to pass my item through the alarmed door to get their attention. Might be OK for buying pencils or toilet paper but beyond that, friendly incompetence is the order of the day. The woman ahead of me spent 20 minutes trying to explain her copy order. Clearly the words 'margins' or 'font size' were alien concepts. Then along came a guy whose print order ws supposed to be ready yesterday. Well they got right to it while he waited. While I waited, and waited for a print number to be E mailed. I finally left with my package to be returned in hand. Welcome to the Shallow End of the Gene Pool Generally, I'm satisfied with Staples but this store is an exception. I've been a regular customer at this location for the past year and every time I venture in, it's the same deal. I use a lot of foam board and they had the same mangled sheets of open stock foam board on sale for months, even though I've requested product that's not creased and banged-up. The checkout lanes move at a snail's pace. Compounding the problem is the checkout queue. Shoppers ignore it and shoot up to a register as soon as the previous transaction is completed, and the cashiers don't say a thing. Today, after being cut off three times, I dropped my purchases on the floor and walked out. Felt good. From now on I'll use the Hyannis store instead. read more

To those who are irascible over the service, particularly for printing and computer services, take a breath. This store isn't in Murray Hill or Park Slope; it's in a sleepy, vacation spot whose year round pop tends to be elderly and less knowledgeable about tech. I found the store to be well stocked and well staffed. The latter spanned generations but were trained and helpful. The hours are not 24/7, but the personnel are competent and patient with their customers. If you have a rush proposal or a big print order requiring global distribution, you may push up against the limits of this store's capabilities, but for 95% of most needs, they're fine. read more

Beware of the computer technical services at this Staples. I bought a new computer, brought in my old one, and asked to have the main files transferred. Not only did they not check that both computers were working normally when they got them back to me, but they managed to make my old computer completely inoperable, and tried to blame a windows update that I had not installed yet. (We checked after I got it home...) The technician then proceeded to reformat my computer and reinstall windows in order to fix it. My regret is that I gave permission to do this, because they did not create a backup of the original hard drive! I lost all my pictures from the last 15 years, and all my outlook setup. read more

They were very professional in all ways as they produced a few bound reports for us. Just because the store is in some funky little strip mall has nothing to do with anything. It seems that many of the Yelp reviewers belong to the shallow end of the courtesy pool and should take a deeper look at their miserable lives. read more

Completely offended by a member of the copy center staff. They have upgraded their self-service copy machines to newer models which don't have some of the advanced functions of the previous models, and ones for years and years before this. So I asked if they were still able to perform a task with the machine behind the counter (inverting an image, also referred to as negative/positive, a common xerox machine function). The guy working acted like I was asking for something that wasn't real. Told me he never heard of such a thing. When I told him I have done it for years at Staples self-service centers he scoffed and doubted it. He "looked" at the functions on the machine behind the counter, pressing one button then half-assed telling me he couldn't. Then he made a complete back handed comment as he walked away to help someone else about how he could do it on photoshop for me but that I wouldn't be able to pay for that service, most likely judged on my appearance. This was absolutely mental. I proceeded to watch him be overly kind to multiple other customers as I tried to find a work around for my project. What a total jackass. Screw this place, stay the hell away. read more

I naturally have to give this place all of my love because I am a former employee of this Staples location. I worked here for almost a year as a Copy & Print Center associate helping the elderly turn their calendar wishes into reality! I made bound this and that, laminated posters, digitized photo albums, designed business cards, and almost anything and everything paper related! Need help packaging that UPS shipment? You need 15603 copies of that by 2:30pm? We were your people. In all seriousness though, I only have good words to say about the staff I worked with there. My co-workers were all hard working and kind people and that made the experience stray from mundane. If you ever go to Brian or Bruce or Monica, you are in good hands. Aside from my mushiness and biased opinion, this was a good Staples store and I owe it to them for only strengthening the hard work ethic I have today. With that out of the way, go recycle your ink cartridges and start racking up your rewards points already! ;) I cannot speak for its recent condition however, as I have not returned in a couple years now. read more
