Worst Customer Service Ever! The overall rating of this Staples says it all 3-stars. I went to print out some documents I needed from my USB drive which should've been a quick job but Karen in the Copy and Print Center couldn't be bothered. She was just sitting behind the counter and no print jobs were being run. I advised her I only had enough change for my copies but she told me if the purchase isn't over $5.00 dollars she can't help me. I found that first of all ridiculous and second of all I would understand if she was super busy and couldn't help me because of that reason. I left and went to Office Depot and they got the job done no hassles. I called Staples corporate offices to share my experience and they said the supervisor would follow up with me. Well I guess this is a common occurrence, the supervisor Desiree Hernandez never reached out to me. I would avoid this Staples in my opinion. If you don't believe me read the other 1-star reviews they have. That's why I no longer shop at Staples and have shared my experience with friends and family and they will avoid this Staples also. read more

Sometimes things just don't match up. Ya got peanut butter...no jelly. Cake mix... no frosting! Weed... no papers! Paper...no fucking ink! Damn, now I have to go to the Staples. But that's cool. I like going to Staples. It has always been a hassle-free excursion. I've yet to encounter any negative attitude from the staff and they are always helpful. In building my business, I started here. Maybe I didn't know any better, but it worked out. The geeks in the computer department have been a big help in my hardware and some software choices. But don't even try to get your Adobe products here. I also enjoy a reimbursement business reward thingy that I receive quarterly which gives me a nice deduction from a purchase. That makes up for the some of the money I've spent with their ass. They offer free shipping with a $50 purchase. In theory, I should never have to set foot in the place as my purchases are ALWAYS 50 clams. Bring me my shit! I came here for ink and a cheap laptop. They always have the ink I need. The closest Staples location to me so I usually visit them if I need something for home or office . Upon arriving the parking lot is huge so its never an issue to find a spot to park . Once inside you are usually greated by an employee and occasionally asked if you need any assistance . They always have the supplies you need for the job and if not they will help you order them online for store pick up or ship to home . The only downside ive found is the lack of certain products that arent made by staples. Sometimes you need a certain quality of item that you need to last and they dont always have them available . The binder section is full of Staples brand items that honestly arent made that well . Ok Staples with good customer service . read more

It's kind of ironic the store is branded under the moniker of 'That Was Easy'. Because it's actually anything BUT when you go in there. Let's do it Clint Eastwood style: The Good, the Bad and the Ugly. Good: What I usually go in there for I find - in abundance. Bad: For it to be in such a key location (Bixby Knolls, Atlantic Avenue, near freeways, etc), there just never seems to be enough people working in there. There is ALWAYS A LINE (and oddly enough it's not a busy store), it's mental gymnastics to get someone to answer a question for you, the Copy Center is Chinese Water Torture, and I often feel like the ATM/Credit card machine is on a cognitive delay. Ugly: It's just creepy in there. Always quiet (yet there is always a line), and both the employees and shoppers alike always look as if they are in a trance. Bummer, the staff communication at this store today was BAD. The manager kept customers waiting in long lines that were going no where fast even though the sales clerk called for back-up twice and there were at least 7 or more employees in the store. I also noticed that their was a customer who had 3 employees (including manager who needs help with communication) helping her. Talk about a systems breakdown at this store. I can't say this reflects the whole store but more just the printing station. We always come here to have labels printed for us. First of all I wasn't even able to get the name of the young lady who worked there because her name tag was hidden under her sweater or she just didn't want to wear it. Multiple times I had to call her to get help. She would just look at us and then look away. I don't know if she was zoning out or maybe on something. In the past we have been able to send our logo to this location via email and they would help us with adjusting it so it can be printed on multiple labels. This was convenient because it would save us time of having to do it at home. Instead the young lady without a name tag said she couldn't help (maybe because she was too busy zoning out) and said we have to go to the website to do it ourselves. Again if that was the case why pay for the services of having them printed there. Normally there is an energetic and very helpful associate who is always on top of her game and very helpful. I come here for my office supplies since its walking distance from my house. Decent selection and the store is always relatively clean. The customer service is usually decent but it also depends on who it is. I came recently since there is a free promotion for 300 mailing address labels with coupon ($9.99 value). The person at the copy center helped me set up and also printed a sample of my design to make sure it was okay. After I confirmed the order within several minutes it was done. She had some difficulty with processing the coupon but after someone helped her the transaction went by smoothly. The quality of the labels were okay. Probably worse than the ones you may get for free through the mail but since it's free I'd take it. Overall a decent place to get your office supplies. Also they have coupons every now and then so the prices are decent with coupons. Also if you recycle ink cartridges you get $2 in staples rewards. read more

Used to come here all the time to their copy center and got to know most of the folks, although the staff seems to change even other time I come here. Somewhat sad, but expected as folks move on to bigger and better things than retail. Staples has the stuff I need, it's close to home and it works. Could I save a few bucks buying something online? Probably, but then I go three blocks in either direction and get a taco (Baja Sonora, Patricia's), burger (Jack N the Box, Dave's, Arby's, Carl's Jr.) or several other venues. Complete waste of my time. I spend a lot of time getting multiple printing projects ready and the blonde lazy worker wants to charge me $30 to take a small image and make it appear 8 times filling the full sheet of paper and $3 each cut to complete the promo cards, not counting the cost of the printing and paper and tax. The same project in a business card image costs $10 plus tax. I have like 100+ printing projects to do to spend thousands and one minimum wage mentality killed the entire plan to do business with Staples. Tried to save a couple dollars but now I'll just take my printing projects to a real printer. read more

We bought our new printer from here. As soon as I walked in, I was greeted and asked if I needed help. One of the girls showed me to the printer I had seen on their website, and then carried it to the front checkout area for me, before I could even ask where the carts were. Ha! The representative opened a checkout register for me so that I wouldn't have stand there with a heavy printer. And then have me a discount and information on how I could get a rebate. Sorry cats and kittens but if you need to use the printing section of the store, beware! I got there at opening around 8am hoping to have three documents printed and a few laminated afterward. After the girl does the printing she suddenly tells me I have to pay an expedite fee per document because she did it under an hour. I said what are you talking about? There was no sign, no warning beforehand either. She waited until half of what I neeed was done thinking I'd just give in and pay $1.50 extra. There was no line behind me...I was the only person there. Um no. If you have some new policy there better be a sign so that people can make an informed choice. The manager did do what I needed but it was so stupid. She spent more time arguing with me than if she'd just done the work. I will not be back. read more

Staples Office Supply, Bixby Knolls/ Long Beach, Ca. great service, very pleasant staff, store shelves are well stocked. I have been going to this store for many years, they are very fast serving customers, even when they are busy. Managers are very helpful in resolving problems. My only complaint, I do not believe Staples is best suited for setting up new computers, the store was not originally designed to be a tech support center for electronic devices. I purchased two computers from them, and I had to take them back two times for them to fix things that were not set right upon purchasing them. Other than that, I would recommend this store for any other office supply needs. read more

The copy center is the worst, they usually just have one person working and they never acknowledge you standing there looking at them waiting to be helped. I've been to a few Staples stores to print out photos for my work. Unfortunately when you ask for 18 x 24, you get other measurements. Krystal at the photo/print center has always been spot on! She makes sure the photos are exactly 18 x 24. It's to the point where I no longer have to explain what I need. If the picture quality is not HD, she lets me know instead of printing pixilated photos. Krystal is the absolute BEST! I call before visiting the store just to make sure she's there read more

Terrible customer service. I called to verify availability of an item for my company. I was on hold for 10 minutes until I was able to speak to someone. They then put me on hold to check availability. I waited over 20 minutes on hold and gave up. I called Office Depot. Within a minute I spoke to an employee. Three minutes later I got my answer. Don't care for knowing what type of underwear he wears, but it seems he likes to show people with his saggy pants. I needed some printing done for a conference so I went to my local Staples. 20 minutes after placing my order, their printer failed so the order was re-routed to the next closest Staples with the assurance it would be done at the requested time the following day. I showed up at the agreed upon time to find that the job had not even been started. The staff promised a 1 hour turn around. An hour later, they told me it would be another 30 minutes. Lesson to me.. I came to the store on Atlantic Blvd in Long Beach to pick up a toner my mother ordered. There no one was in the store and there were three employees (including the Assistant Manager) standing around. I went to the online pick up counter and waited to be acknowledged, 4 customers came in made purchases and left and I still was not acknowledged. I stood there for six to seven minutes before being asked if I needed any help. A cashier and the assistant manager both saw me standing there and said nothing. I had the email confirmation for the purchase, but I was told I had to show my drivers license in order to pick up the order. I realize that now really cares about customer service anymore, but why did I have to stand there for six to seven minutes just to pick up something that was already paid for. read more

staples is OK...but be aware that everyone who works there isn't always trained to do what they are doing. I had a ticket from Lincoln Center that I wanted to make into a bookmark so I took it there to have it laminated. you could imagine my disappointment when the ticket turned black. apparently the plastic was too hot and caused the ink to run. I don't know. I didn't think that would happen but I do think that they should be more familiar with different types of paper. it would have been better to say NO...than to ruin something like that. some will say I should have known or looked it up but it was just paper. anyway I got my money back but my ticket is ruined. also when I was waiting they made copies for a lady and instead of 2 sided they did separate pages which made her very upset. they had to do it over and she said she had a deadline. anyone can make a mistake but some could be avoided if employees were properly trained to use equipment. but companies are cheap and just throw people out there. read more

You should always make the person whose lazy enough to call in wait over someone who's standing there waiting for service! How to start, I just went two days ago to this store cause I need 3 personalized stamps, I started with the representative and when we were about to do the last one, she said, " u don't need them right now " I was yes I need them now ohhh I cant I'm so behind, why she didn't said that since the beginning :( I was I will be back, next day around 4:30pm we went again and place and order they said it will be ready around 7:30pm, I arrived around 7:45pm and noticed something wrong, I decide to check one of them the logo was not visible and the address u cant even see it, this kid named Diego was this is what you order, I was nope, I showed u guys how it needs to look like and this in not even the 10% right, he was giving attitude at the beginning and have to force him to redo it even tho u can see his frustration, like is not me who was the one who made a mistake and for almost 75dollars worth it better be nice, Diego said it will be ready next day at 8:30am I showed up and no nothing was done cause the logo was not coming right, really so cause is not coming up u cant fix it, you rather waste my time, manager of the store didn't care, nobody cares just a waste of time, if you don't have to go to this place avoid it, better go to pollys and get some pie and coffee read more
