My wife and I have been very loyal customers of Staples on Lincoln Hwy east, Lancaster, PA for over 8 years! We use it for our Company and personal marketing, shipping and retail shopping. All the years that we've been coming in we have never had one problem, we usually come in 2-3 times per week. We have always had a pleasant experience. Today that changed! We witnessed the most unprofessional conduct from a clerk, and the manager on the same day! It was appalling! My wife was looking for plastic boxes for our trade shows. I called the store before she left to verify they had the boxes we chose from their website in stock. Usually when I call, the employees are very helpful. Today when I called I spoke with a man, he asked me if my computer told me if the store had any in stock. It did not. I felt like he was lazy and attempting to put me off. I persisted and he confirmed they had several in stock. My wife went to the store and was unable to find the sizes we needed. She asked one male employee where she could find them. I was on the phone with her on speaker and could hear everything. He told her to ask another employee. She told me he was on the phone on his Apple watch. She asked a clerk named Destiny, I heard her tell my wife the boxes were on a shelf and that she was too busy. She said "you'll have to come back later." I was in shock! She said it in a very rude and authoritative manner. I said who is this woman? My wife said a rude twenty something clerk. My wife and I are business people. Our time is money. My wife saw a ladder on wheels and climbed up a couple steps to get the two file boxes that she needed herself. This clerk's Destiny yelled at my wife. It was the most pathetic display of unprofessionalism we have ever encountered! It was like a low class mother yelling at her child! My wife is twice her age. My wife told her she didn't appreciate the way she was speaking to her. Destiny told her that customers using the ladder posed a liability risk. My wife understood and apologized. I was in shock as this Destiny continued to yell at my wife and I was in shock when she threatened her. My wife said to her are you threatening me? She then told my wife she would not check her out at the register. I was again in shock! My wife went to report this antagonization to a manager named Travis. He must be new. We are there all the time. We never saw him there. My wife said she did see this Destiny, she also said she heard her be a little rude and bold to other customers.However my wife never had any conflict with her. All the managers we had ever had an experience with at this store were always helpful and professional. This new manager was a poor excuse for a manager in any capacity! He continued to belittle my wife. He told her in a very arrogant way that the clerk was right. I guess he was never taught the principle that "The customer is always right" Especially when she is professional , calm and apologetic. This ridiculous egomaniac was a joke to the word management! He has no business being in charge of any decision-making that involves interactions with the public! We were happy customers who came 2 to 3 times a week at this location for almost a decade! Now we do not want to set foot in the store. This is all because of two pathetic ridiculous employees. We have many friends and business associates who will surely follow suit if this isn't rectified professionally. We will escalate this up the corporate ladder before we decide whether to say "good luck and God bless you" to this ridiculous new age Staples with Destiny and Travis at the helm. All it takes is one bad apple to lose many loyal customers indefinitely. In this case two bad apples. read more

My final visit to staples, due to a recent business closing I need to return two unopened boxes of thermal credit card paper.Iwas informed since the purchase was over 30 days and I did not have a receipt this was not possible. I than offered to donate the boxes to the store to be resold so that they would be put to use rather than discarded in the trash.I was informed that all staples store would do with the product is trash it.! So much for trying to use our resources wisely.I was able to donate them to a local thrift store so they may be used .This is only a small example of the waste in corporate AMERICA. Whoever was working Printing 1/13/25 around 10am needs to get on the same page with her team. I called prior to coming there about printing on vellum paper and was told they can. I showed up 1/11 to print and the guy told me the correct vellum to get and just come back. I have the correct paper so I come this morning and she tells me "no we don't print on vellum because we rent our machines so he must be mistaken". I'm sorry what? How is she right and the other two people are wrong. So I immediately go to staples on Lincoln highway and she printed on the vellum paper for me. That lady at Lititz seems to "be mistaken" and not her employees . These overlays were for my save the dates so I'm annoyed she didnt feel like helping me and I had to drive even further to get these done. read more

Every year, like so many other teachers in our community, I go to stores like Staples to buy school supplies for students who may otherwise not have what they need for the upcoming school year. For the last two years now, the manager at this location has gone above and beyond to help me! He showed me how to download and navigate the Rewards program, all of the coupons, and the best deals, so I would be able to buy the most for these students. He was amazingly thoughtful, patient, and genuinely wanted to be helpful. It's people like him that help make a difference. I definitely recommend shopping at this store! read more

Went in to make 2 copies. First machine insert credit card and it sits spinning. First associate to come over had no clue how to fix. 2nd associate simply told me I had to move to another machine... no apologies. 2nd machine took my card then spinning for 5 minutes. Had to again wait to be helped and same person came to machine and said they can't do anything to speed process. Ummm perhaps there's an issue??? I don't believe it's supposed to take 5 minutes and if it does Staples needs a better system. read more

I came in on a Thursday after 2:00 PM which meant that my print job could not be completed same day. The employee put the print request in for a 24 hour turnaround time. He literally said, " It's 2:47 PM so it would be ready tomorrow at 2:47 PM". He said, "We'll call you when it's ready or if it is completed earlier". I come in the next day at 3:34 PM and the print job is not ready. Apparently there was an issue when he put the order in the system. So let me get this straight, Staples will only call when the order is complete but will not call if there is an issue/error. I came to print program inserts for my father funeral memorial cards. In a fragile state of mind, the LAST thing I needed from Staples is for them to not do their job. The man that told me of the issue did print it for me but the inserts still need to be cut. And now I'm here waiting as other people are being helped because this man is by himself. The lack of customer service is appalling!! UPDATE: I didn't leave with my guaranteed 24 hour print job until 4:29 PM. read more

Easy in and out to print a document while on the go that I actually ended up not needing. First time printing at Staples. The printing area clerk gave the card with Staples' printing guide. Using the instructions on the card and using email from my phone made it super simple and quick. read more

Horrible service repair---rude manager Took an Iphone in for a cracked screen repair in May, they returned it with the wrong color screen installed...pointed it out to them. They kept it and sent it out again, came back with home button not working.. they sent it out again. back to let us know what was going on.---three months has passed so far with no phone ( They never called us about anything) Month 1/2 later phone came back and the home button or touch screen doesn't work....sent back to repair center AGAIN---frustrating Two weeks later got a hold of one of the store managers---told us we have two choices since they cannot fix the phone fully (1) Take a$150 credit- they will fix the screen, but cant fix the home button Option (2) Take $180 credit and wont fix anything Went with option one----And now they say I don't get the phone back WHY WOULD THEY GIVE ME OPTION 1 IF I WANST GETTING THE PHONE BACK ? Questioned them bout this, all the paperwork says were are waiting on the phone, Manager says he's not responsible for what his employees say or write down ??????? Isn't that his job ?? Came in to ship a package, they handed me a business card and told my to do it myself. Wouldn't even let me borrow a single piece of tape for the box, they said I could buy a whole roll. This store unfortunately just doesn't have the staff to get it done. Placed and order that was supposed to be completed by 3:30 wasn't ready until i came in and reminded the associate of my order. Associates are inattentive and honestly kinda rude. Overall this will now be my second return in 2 days because of unpreparedness. Went to the store for an exchange and had to pay extra because they had put the item I had on clearance. Spoke to the manager and to corporate to see if I could resolve that and they said can't help. The print center was such a quick, helpful, easy, friendly experience. I gave an employee my zip drive, wondering if he could pull up a file for me to print, and he did it so fast, I was like an old person in awe of modern technology. He even fixed my margin problem. He offered fun paper, did the math for how many I would get, and all was done. I was very impressed, since I had just been at Office Max one street over and left in a fuming, angry, seeing-red daze from that experience. I was VERY pleased with the station set up to do my own paper cutting: the cutting board, the scissors, pencils, paper clips, rubber bands....it was just a wholesome, almost fun, cathartic experience. read more

The print center was absolutely atrocious on multiple occasions. Tried to print out invitations for our wedding there, and they couldn't even line the things up correctly, cutting off lines on the bottom forcing us to redo the entire order. Then, like idiots, we went back to them for our wedding programs, and made sure to inspect every last inch of them. We just didn't know we'd have to count each one, too. As I went to buy my item, an employee (who has given me not only attitude, but also glares, not to mention she tried to stay as far away from me as possible), has the audacity to come near and look at the coupons I was using. They have taken WONDERFUL care of my aged mother-in-law's computer hard drive crash. They helped package the laptop to mail back for warranty service and even sent a tech TO HER HOME to help her se tup the new one on her wireless network. She'll never deal with anyone else.
