UPDATE, I did manage to get the X2 Customer Service to provide the correct size battery (27M). This issue of not having a 100Ah Li-ion battery in the 27M size was finally corrected with a 125Ah. I had to convince them that the physical size was just as important as the capacity. Batteries Plus tried there best to accommodate me and always listened to my complaints, but they just couldn't get through to the X2 manufacturer. I finally did and they sent me a new battery. I returned the 24M to the store unused. Original post: Just to warn any prospective buyers, I had an issue with an X2 Marine Lithium Battery, size 27M, the warranty replacement was a 24M, same AH rating. They can't comprehend and seem not to care about the physical size difference since the electrical specs are the same and they "no longer" produce a battery in the 27M size, 100 AH. I made my case to " X2 customer service", but they won't provide a size 27M battery. Now, I have to "shim" the battery, or replace two battery trays, since I still have one size 27M battery. So, if you buy a expensive battery from these people, be advised, you may not get the same physical size replacement. read more

Besides having the car remote battery everything else sucked. For me using a walker to get in while 2 workers stood there and watched but never offered to help, to tripping over their mat twice, then watching a elderly guy walk in a do the same see them giggle instead of fix it or ask if he's ok, to the worker texting my remotes/ swapping one battery out, which I didn't see but guess he did, to go to leave again and still have no worker offer to get the door. This place is so much more than the name implies. When I needed a charger for a large ride on kids toy it was recommended I try here. I arrived 3 minutes after opening on a Friday morning and was the 4th person in life. I stopped by 2 more times over the next two days and will tell you they are perpetually busy. On the plus side they do have several employees on hand to assist. Due to the store layout it is hard to social distance but people were doing the best they could. I was surprised to learn that aside from batteries for watches (they install), cell phones, home phones, carry car batteries, and duplicate/program key fobs. They also do cell phone repairs. Before going in I had no idea they had that much versatility in what they do. I stopped here three times in a course of 2 days, once to inquire about the charger for the ride on toy, the second time to physically bring the ride on toy, and the third to return the product that was recommended, but didn't work for my application. Each time they were pretty busy, even with several employees for a store this size, but each time offered excellent customer service. Highly recommended! Batteries Plus in Lancaster went way above the call of duty in helping me today! I am traveling through Lancaster I needed batteries replaced in four tire pressure monitors. The batteries in the tire pressure monitors had been installed by another vendor in properly so they did not register. The manager at Batteries Plus knew that he would probably never see me again since I live out of the area. He replaced the batteries while I waited at no charge. This store is absolutely one of the most customer oriented stores of it's kind. Nick, Mike, and the crew deliver an excellent customer experience with each visit. I recently had a remote programmed for my auto. Nissan was going to charge $200 for a remote that I eventually purchased online for $39, then they were going to charge an additional $109 to program it. Batteries Plus Bulbs programmed my remote for $35. For less than $100 I was able to get a job done that the dealer was charging over $300 for. I bought a key fob for my car for less than half the price a dealer would have charged, $450, had it programmed and was out in 15 - 30 minutes. I had been told they were only available at a dealer. This is for Batteries Plus Bulbs on Columbia Avenue, Lancaster Pennsylvania. Here's my last three visits to this store. Went in for a battery for an el cheapo $20 Casio watch. They had the battery for it, which I bought, but the guy who waited on me tried his best to sell me a LIFETIME BATTERY! I can't image he didn't realize he was trying to sell me a battery that was more expensive than the watch itself. Needless to say I bought the least expensive battery, the watch stopped working less than a year later, in the trash it went. Next visit was for a battery for my ceiling fan remote. No one offers to help me find what I needed, after finding it in my own I took it to the cash register to pay and leave. The guy behind the counter is on the phone. He takes my money rings it up on the register and continues to talk on the phone. I finally had to ask "can I have my change and battery so I can get out of here?" Who knows how long it would have been had I not said something. Yesterday I went in, against my better judgement after the two above experiences, for a battery for a calculator. No one was in the show room, not a customer or employee, I am looking around for what I need for about two minutes. When an employee comes in the showroom from the back room, I continued to look for what I need. After about two minute the employee asks me if he can help me. Why that wasn't the very first thing he did when he saw me is beyond me. I assure you I was not hiding. Went in and handed the guy may watch and said "I want a battery for this." He proceeded to open the watch and put in a battery. When he was done charged over 10 dollars. I asked how much the batter costs...5 bucks" HAH "sooo you just charged me 5 bucks to put it in?" Yep. I almost told him to take it back out then because I said I wanted a batter FOR it, not IN it. Had an iPhone 6 battery replaced in May. Would have gone to Apple but stores were closed and mail in repairs taking weeks. B+B walk in customer service in May was not great but we are in middle of pandemic. The big problem is the battery. After a month i realize it's not holding its charge. Check battery health : Maximum Capacity-93%. Go back to store. After some voodoo diagnostics I'm told a tech must look at it - come back in 30 minutes. Come back and another guy brings my phone out and says they replaced the battery - no charge. Great but I check and maximum capacity still - you guessed it - 93%.. after scratching his head he goes in the back and returns to tell me they need a machine to calibrate the battery. Ok! And? Well it's on order and they should have in 1 week - give us a call! No - you call me. 10 minutes of typing - I kid you not - and he tells me a ticket is in for me to be called. Now almost 3 weeks later not a peep from them I go to Apple store to get a battery and - you guessed it again - no can do as B+B are unauthorized and the battery is missing a tab to facilitate removal. Good thing I paid by credit card. I'm assuming these guys can sell you a battery or a bulb but do NOT let them touch your phone. read more

Today I picked up an online order at the Lancaster store and got a 10% discount for store pickup. While there I had the batteries changed on four watches. The first battery change is about twice the cost of the battery alone, but when the battery dies the next time the battery and installation of it is FREE and will continue to be replaced free as long as you bring the watch into the store. This place is ok... sometimes disappointing and sometimes not. Once I asked to purchase a car battery charger. The sales guy showed me a battery starter but maintained that it also charges the car battery in addition to jump start. Sure enough that wasn't the case so I returned it. Another time I went in to replace my car's key fob battery, which costs around $8 in store. Without explaining my options, sales guy proceeded to open my key fob, replace the battery, and then charge me $16... an additional $8 for "installation and lifetime warranty" without ever asking me first if this was ok. For me it wasn't, so I asked him to take the battery out and give me a refund. These things should be agreed upon beforehand... like "would you like to just purchase a new battery for $8 or have it installed with lifetime warranty for an additional $8?" But this wasn't the case... battery was replaced and that will be $16, please. Car battery installation is free, so I assumed key fob battery replacement is also free. Back during the days of Radio Shack, I don't recall paying massive installation fees. And regarding the lifetime warranty... I'll take a pass. Maybe it's useful for some people in certain situations, but for me, the new key fob battery will outlast the car, so it's not needed. On a positive note, they have a good assortment of batteries and flashlights. read more

My husband and I have been purchasing our car batteries and other supplies at this store for about 8 years. We have always had a positive experience until yesterday. I took my car up to the store to ask them to check to see if I needed a new battery. I was approached outside the store by two employees, one of them being Chris, a manager. They diagnosed my car as needing a new battery. I was then asked a series of questions by Chris regarding the usage of my car. I explained that this is a second car that is primarily garaged and driven occasionally as it is a luxury car. Due to my honesty, Chris informed me that they would not pro-rate the cost of a new battery (this one was still under warranty) because I don't drive it consistently. I was then told that I was guilty of "neglect" and "neglecting" my car and told that "most drivers drive their cars consistently." The tone made me feel as though I was being talked down to in a condescending manner. I got the impression he thought I was a stupid woman. I guess had I lied and said I drive the car everyday, I would have been given the pro-rated price for a new battery. I left the store vowing to myself to never do business there again. If this is the tone they deliver to customers, I will take my business elsewhere. I then proceeded down the street to purchase a car battery from a reputable dealer who treated me like a valuable customer. read more

I took my iphone 6 in for a simple screen repair, it had one crack,they replaced the screen very quickly but I noticed the auto-brightness didn't work anymore and there was light coming from the top edge of the screen where it's not supposed to. Took it back they replaced the screen again, auto- brightness worked but a few days later I noticed the light at the top again. Took it back they replaced the screen again, as I was picking it up I noticed the auto-brightness didn't work again I asked him to have them look at it again and he blamed the software and said they couldn't fix it again because they already replaced the screen 3 times. I left and a noticed as I was trying to text that I can't change the letters to numbers, the left side of the screen at the edge doesn't work, I have to flip the phone to the right edge (longways) to change the letters to numbers. At this point I would have preferred the crack as it worked perfectly except for the crack. Now I have to adjust the brightness of the screen manually and turn the phone if I need to text numbers - which happens a lot more frequently then I would have thought now that I can't use that side of the screen. read more
