I went with my daughter on Sunday about 11 a.m. to make an Amazon return at this store. While the line was long; the Staples/Amazon employee, Gil, was very quick, efficient and friendly, He didn't waste any time in helping customers. He announced to those in line "this line is for Amazon returns; if you are making a Staples purchase (he pointed to nearby cashier) that is the line you want to be in. If I were a Manager, Gil would certainly receive recognition with a bonus. There was another employee who was just as efficient with pulling over empty cardboard cartons to put the returns in. They worked both as a great team-like you would expect your empoyees to work. Quick and friendly were their actions. Gil was at the cashier desk when we walked out minutes later, as the Staples purchase line now became long. Need to hire more emplyees. read more

The store manager Samantha is about as rude as can be. I went in looking for a toy and she told me they had none, I could clearly see a freight box full of them behind the counter and she told me those are for store pickup. I advised her that another associate told me that those are for purchase and she just shrugged her shoulders and said she didn't know. Then I explained to her the items couldn't be purchased online for in store pickup and she said she didn't care. Definitely won't be doing any more business here. read more

Worst customer service ever. Three women in printing section doing Nothing but sharing cellphone pics while my line grew to 10 people long. They looked over at my line and LAUGHED while the lone clerk processing my register was working TWO lines at once. I've done that job. I checked, I double checked, I TRIPLE checked the number I faxed some paperwork to...I STILL do not know where my EXTREMELY important documents were faxed to! Even after receiving the fax confirmation page! The company never received the paperwork! This Staples has the worst customer service, they are rude and don't even attempt to assist anyone. They don't apologize for being rude or that they had you stand in line for 30 minutes to be in the wrong line after one of their representatives had this sweet old lady stand is this line then when she got to the front; the "lady" behind the counter told her "your in the wrong spot, you have to go over there, I can't help you" as she raise her finger and pointed to where this sweet old lady needed to go but didn't really give any directions. I have been here several more times since moving to Hemet and definitely would like to update my review! If ever there was a "superstar" employee award here it belongs to Ashley. I am dyslexic and sometimes it is hard to express verbally what I need specifically when I am not always sure what it is. I am a crafter and often need help with my orders/requests. Ashley is not only a great multitasker but she actually speaks "Lindaneese". Ashley listens to what I am attempting to do and then helps me with following through with making the magic happen. I truly appreciate the amazing customer service that she provides. All of the other employees are very helpful and kind but she speaks my language. Great job Ashley, you are truly a gem! The customer service is phenomenal and keeps me coming back to this location. Went in yesterday to get photo paper for my daughter. Immediately when we walked in my daughter and I were greeted by associate "Brad". Brad not only directed us to where the photo paper was(very back of the store) but without asking volunteered to escort us back to the photo paper and then proceeded to explain to us the various types of paper that Staples offers. Having now lived in Hemet for about 3 1/2 years, I realized that Brad represents most of what is wrong with the majority of business's in this city that I have frequented. They lack customer service and/or do the minimum. Brad however was not only pleasant but went way beyond the call of duty and I really appreciate that in this day and age. Our next Staples order went the same as the first. Each day On Trac would put in their notes "unable to deliver before 5pm". More calls to Corporate and a week later On Trac made the delivery. I come to this Staples to print and always have to wait because of the 5 machines they have, there are always 2-3 of them broken. This is a bit annoying but I have still gone time and time again. What made me write this review is my last visit there. Usually everyone I have encountered at this store both at the registers and at the self service print center have been great. Unfortunately this last time I met Ashley. Ashley paced around the area like someone in charge but did nothing to help unless asked. Multiple times myself, and others in the area, looked over to her for assistance but unable to read customers we each had to actually speak out to her. When we did ask Ashley for help, she acted like an irritated spouse or upset teenager. She would grab things or begin the process without speaking and would then put whatever she grabbed out of your hand down on the machine and walk away without saying anything. It was weird and I found it to be really rude. I did mention it to the manager that day who was kind and totally opposite of Ashley but I still feel the need to post this here. Staples could be really great if they kept the machinery working and made sure to staff people that want to work with people in the self service printing center. After all, as a customer, I don't "want" to ask you for things either, I just want to print my papers and go, but if I do ask, it is because something is not working. Bottom line: If you go, now you know, deal with other associates if you have to and expect to wait a bit to print. read more

Brought my laptop here for check up. Cost me $105 . Then paid for ram to be added. Asked for 8 gigs ram, got 4. No notes from tech. Desk couldn't tell me what was done because person who "fixed" left two ram logs. They were not able to tell whether she had installed new ram or not, but they said she didn't install 8 gigs as asked. They basically couldn't tell me anything and Rebecca wouldn't be back until after weekend. Bad bad bad. Will never take computer there again. Go anywhere but there. read more

This place used to be "heaven" so to speak, for geeks and for office supplies. I can't see myself ever going back, now though unless the manager leaves. I spent over $1,000 there, yesterday Dec. 31, 2015. Did not get a tape receipt at checkout. NO RECEPT! NO RECEPT! NO RECEPT! Zero help with 2 shopping carts. I got 13 pages, 8 1/2" by 11" that had Staples Jargon all over it. INSTEAD OF A RECEIPT. Instead of a receipt it said 90 items it said on it "somwhere." Did they count 12 packs of pens as 12 items, lol? Yeh, I got a years worth of markers, couldn't find anyone on the floor, to help me, although all the help in thr store, "knew I needed help but said they were helping others or were in the wrong department. . Near the end, a lot of things wouldn't fit in my cart, (from the beginning, actually) then at the end, somebody 1 employee ordered a few things to be delivered for me. The PAPER SHE GAVE ME SAID IT WAS NOT A RECEIPT BUT A COPY OF A RECEIPT, and was NOT GOOD FOR returns, (huh?). The manager now, fyi, Apparently as of Dec 31, 2015, the "MANAGER" there "is a xxxxxx female" xxxxx xxxx xxxxx She told me that my Papers (13 pages) were "good for returns." I never asked her that! I just need a receipt for accounting, duh? She told a stranger on the phone I was a bad customer. That I am there everyday returning things. Truth I'm too busy to ever ever go there at all. Its cheaper for me to give things away than to return anything. I knew the old long time Staple's managers' names, by face, they knew me, All geniuses. I've never seen this woman in my life, I'd have noticed it. OH YEH. No customers yesterday could find their HP inks. And I'm good at HP ink. So I wound up helping the HP ink customers' all getting their ink for them. I STILL DON'T HAVE A RECEIPT FOR MY STUFF. I told her b4 I left, that I had a 4pm chiropractor appt for my back. She said they were open till 7 pm. And she would still be there. & That to get a receipt, that I had to unload my car, reload shopping carts, which really required help. "Return it all," (huh?) that the "register tape" had been empty at the time of my check-out. She told everyone a different story including me. That then we had to "rerurn it all ? Cancel all my delivery items, ring it all back up again re-order the delivery items. Then I could get a receipt. . Had zero problems at Hemet Staples Since 2002.. I'm a female, I have all the female problems we all get, but never let it control me. I hope the store, Register, Customer Service desk security tapes are secured. I got 13 pages of "Copy of a Receipt", "Not Good for Returns." Every item took up 6 lines of text, for each item including 99¢ Seasonal holiday cards, marked down. The papers 13 pages are 90% Staples Jargon stating weird stuff, like a full line for each coupon I didn't have. What coupons I didn't have? I came in with no bullsh@t coupons. No Sale fliers in the front. & NO RECEIPT FOR over $1,100 in merchandise." From a Hemet Store. My back hurts so bad after lugging all that stuff 2 extra times. I'm so sore, I can't unload my car. May hubby CAN'T help, he had statin poisoning & I need a 2015 receipt! And yeh, its Jan 01 2016 right now. And I would have spent 4k more in supplies, but no "help" in the store. read more

Convenient location right off the main drag. It was clean and everything was nicely displayed. There were plenty of staff on hand to help and wasn't busy. There was a copy center as well as a tech center to help with diagnostics and repair. Their check out center is a little odd. They only have two check out stands and with the amount of people working only one was open. There wasn't a big line, but that's a pet peeve of mine. Waiting in line when there are a bunch of workers walking around you, not assisting an immediate need. Other than that, a great experience. read more

This is now the only dedicated office supply store in town, after Office Depot recently closed. They offer same day printing, which is awesome, but that dept is crazy busy, and you sometimes have to wait in line FOREVER. They don't have enough help. If it continues, I'll go To Menifee. They have had plenty of time to hire people and get them trained. Like 5 months. NO EXCUSE!! The Store Manager runs away from the print dept where there are approx 6 people in line, and 8 at the counters. I watched him, and he ran to open a second register up front. There was 1 person in line, there. I can only assume he didn't want to be in the print dept. Probably out of his comfort zone. read more

I've never had a bad experience at staples. Management and their staff have always been very helpful and friendly. There has been times where I just needed to drop off some UPS packages and not buy anything and Staples employees treated me no different then a paying customer. This location has been around a while & there have been issues with crime in the surrounding area, but that doesn't stop the Management & sales associates from doing a great job. Every time I come here, they are always so helpful & courteous. They greet you when you come in & offer assistance when ever they see you. The managers are usually out on the floor helping people or stocking shelves. I always go check out their clearance section before I leave for the best deals. Keep up the good job guys. read more

Dropped off some stuff to be laminated and cut. I was charged almost $50! The associates don't make the prices so I can't get mad at them. I was told they would call me as soon as they were ready. Never got a call. Went in 2 days later and when I looked at the receipt they charged me $10.32 expedited fee. I asked what that was for since I never requested anything to be expedited. The girl took it upon herself to over charge me. The manager did apologize and refunded me. They get 3 stars for the good work that I wanted done. But I am leary of using their services again, which is too bad because I have a lot of projects coming up that I could have used them for. Just be sure to check your receipts for extra charges before you leave the store. read more

I go here frequently to print stuff from my USB drive. I typically use the self copy, scan and print machines because if you wait in line, it's ridiculous. There needs to be more employees in the Print and Copy area because it leaves people dissatisfied, especially if you're short on time. Sometimes there's only 1 machine that works for the self print, scan and copy therefore making the wait unbearable. The worse thing is when there are people who are completely clueless on how to use the machines, when they clearly should just wait in line. read more

I specifically said NO SPIRAL BOUND but the lady who was too busy to listen to my request did it anyway. The moment she was ringing up my transaction her cell phone rang and she said "that would be my phone" and WALKED AWAY from helping me to answer her cell phone! I clarified if this was a work phone or not and she said "no, it's my personal phone." I asked for a manager and she pointed to the lady standing next to us - who witnessed everything and didn't say a word! TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE. The manager then told me she would help me but instead left me waiting so I decided to leave. Don't waste your time or money here.
