This morning I stopped in at this Staples to make a few prints, and have to say that this is the best Staples I have ever been in to. When I entered the copy center portion of the store I was greeted by the employee behind the desk who helped me print off some documents I needed. When she was assisting me I realized that I had forgotten to make a wording change on my documents, and the employee allowed me to come behind the desk to use their computer to make the minor edit. I thought that this was incredible, and not the response that I have received at other stores. This little support made it so that I didn't need to drive home to edit the paper. Overall the rest of the store was well packed and organized, and the staff at this store was helpful in the other departments as well. read more

I had a small binding job that would probably take less than five minutes using Staples' specialized tool. The staff member was too busy typing on his personal phone to attend to his growing line of customers. When he at last he returned to his work-station, he projected a borderline sarcastic and offensive attitude. His surliness was not only directed at me, but also to the customers before me in line. When my turn arrived, he informed me that the job would be done in an hour or two, so I returned in two, but the job was not completed. He then said that the job would probably be done tomorrow. 23 hours later, I phoned the store to verify that the binding would be ready, The phone system provided me with a long and time-wasting advertisement, followed by the system putting me on-hold for a little over five minutes, at which point I hung-up. (On a previous visit, I noticed that a staff-member did not answer a persistently ringing telephone,) It is clear to me that Staples in Hadley M.A. has a managerial-level failure in the area of recruitment and supervision. The quality of staffing has been declining at a steady rate for several years, and this needs to be addressed at the district-level. read more

Wow, I guess I'm not the only one who had such a negative exp with that jerk of a manager - he really is worth yelping about! So condescending AND unhelpful! I have been a graphic designer for over 25 years and worked in pre-press & print production just as long. One product/service that has not become consistent quality and consumer-grade, is printing. Everyone has a broken printer at home (I have 3!) so we often rely on print centers like this - though I often try and send my jobs to local print shops. As I do several times a year, I arrive with my thumb drive, carrying a handful of 8.5x11 letter-sized documents, 300 dpi, etc and go straight to the DIY print center. The first printer is down, so I use the next one, send my 2 jobs to print, standard, full-size, b+w settings. The pages print at half-size, centered on the 8.5x11. I hold them up and politely ask the manager's help (as he is bumbling around the machines, picking up paperclips or whatever he thinks is so important to almost shoulder-check me on my way in), and I say "I formatted these for full-size 8.5x11 but the printer printed them at half size for some reason - can you please help me with the settings or refund these 2?" "Must have been something wrong with your file." He snarks at me, and leaves the area - refusing to answer the second part of my Q about getting refunded, or even helped! Thankfully, an extremely helpful print associate is at the register and ushers me over to get my thumbdrive and try printing from her station. They come out perfect - the way I formatted them, and I offer to pay, but she reminds me that I already did pay - for 2 copies that the machine incorrectly formatted. Before and after this encounter, this manager was barking grumpy orders at his associate, and being generally negative and unhelpful to everyone in the area. It dawns on me that this is now my second or third time experiencing this guy's sheer lack of customer service - WHILE hearing him boss around the employees younger (and obviously more adept and helpful) than him. Someone get this guy pinkslipped, warned, or a different job - and award the actual print center clerks who hold it down with an Employee of the Month award or something! read more

Alex, an employee at the printer area is absolutely rude. Doesn't know how to speak to customers. if he's going to be working at a place with people he should learn how to talk to people. Wasn't even just me that he had an attitude with but even an elderly lady that was asking him a question and my boyfriend. He should be fired. read more

Do not come here for photo printing. I called asking if they do 4x6 photo printing and they said "Yes." I took it that "photo printing" meant just that--photos printed on photo paper--so I dropped my photos off on a hard drive. I returned the next day to see that they printed my 4"x6" professional shots on pieces of 8.5"x11" card stock and charged me $30 for 23 sheets. They looked terrible. The colors were dark and murky, pixelated, and they weren't even real photos! I could have done the same on my color printer at home. I even had to sit at their paper station for 20 minutes cutting the photos out of the card stock, which left the edges jagged and unaligned. To say that Staples prints photos is a bold faced lie. I went to CVS to reprint the same photos for $11 and they looked amazing. read more

This Staples had computers, so you could print documents or check your emails. It's $0.20/minute which seems expensive, but if you really need to get something done on the computer, this is the place. They have two HP all-in-one computers that seem fairly new and a color HP printer. You pay by per page you print. After visiting this location, my friend needed the computers to print some other documents while waiting for the printer she shipped from California. We called several other Staples and only this and the Enfield, CT location had the computers/printer available to use, so kudos to this location. Apparently, it's a test, so additional Staples may have this set-up in the future. Xie Xie!! read more

Maybe I've just always had bad luck but it seems like misfortune always awaits me when I use this Staples. Across my past three visits, some examples include: -Telling me over the phone that they have A3 paper but only in cardstock, then arriving to find they don't stock A3 at all -Their incredibly slow printing machine eating $20 from my debit card and the staff person unsure of how to resolve it, making what should have been an easy printing job take over an hour to complete -Losing an envelope I gave to their UPS dropoff which had A CHECK FOR $2300 inside and sending me on a wild goose chase with their corporate number, who ultimately just told me to call back to the store I'd like to believe these are all just flukes but honestly I'm scared to come back to this Staples. read more

Went into fix a computer problem. Matthew was very helpful and fixed the problem in minutes. He didn't charge for the service either. Recommend to anyone looking for reliable computer service in the area. read more

I don't know what kind of weirdo looks at reviews for a soulless corporate entity like Staples but just in case DO NOT ever leave USPS packages there to be mailed. They make zero effort and take zero responsibility for getting them out the door. You might as well hand them over to a hobo and ask him to drop them off for you. I left packages there on Monday at noon and they still hadn't moved by Wednesday AM. The first response by the ever unfriendly guy who runs the copy center was that "they definitely shipped" and when I told him the tracking numbers said they hadn't moved he finally deigned to walk the ten feet over to the package desk to check. And lo and behold they had not gone anywhere. I wonder how long they would have sat there if I hadn't called? His next excuse was that they "don't control the post office". It doesn't seem that hard for a manager to check the "business center" periodically and arrange for a pickup. If that's not possible then there needs to be a giant sign saying that drop off is not guaranteed to be sent out. Thanks for ruining Christmas Staples. I'll never be back to that store. Which sucks because I've been going there for a long time as it's convenient. Maybe this is karma punishing me for not shopping and shipping local. read more

ok so like i went here like literally 4 times or whatever, never even went inside!!! my bf went inside to buy like graph paper notebooks or like tape or idk maybe goldfish. when he came back to the car he only bought candy! like ok. staples has a fantastic supply of candy and stuff. i sat in the car the WHOLE time and this seagull took a dump on the windshield and i was like OMG nice! i put it on my snap story and people reported it. all in all just like idk go to staples if you rly need to. let me know what u guys think in the comments down below ok read more

Just bought a printer on sale and our sales person was extremely helpful. Knew everything we needed and went and ran for info for what he didn't know. Understood that we were making a decision about a significant purchase for us and gave us everything we needed to know. I always shopped at OfficeMax in the past but now that Staples owns them, I can change my loyalties. Based on the service today, I am impressed. Got a photo printer, photo paper, the two year plan and a cartridge, all for around $200. read more

Jerked around once again. (First time was an unneeded, but non-returnable phone card.) Went to look at printers on Saturday and get ready to buy one. Went home to research printers and made a selection. On Sunday the price was $20 higher. No thanks! Clerk said they change the labels on Saturday. I hope the corporate marketers realize how much good will they are loosing with such tactics. read more

NEVER get your iphone fixed at staples. they broke it to the point of no repair and i have been waiting WEEKS for a new one. Very bad at communication and status updates, I feel left behind in the bureaucratic system, and have had to work incredibly hard to get simple answers to reasonable questions that should have been answered already. Every phone call ended with "we'll give you a call", to which i would answer, "you still have my phone", and the then-promised emails never came.
