Control Alt Delete is truly as good as it gets. I moved here 6 months ago and have been looking for a good alternative for when the Genius Bar at the geek squad store is not quite enough. (Often it is, but for more complicated problems, or for faster service, I need a IT guru :) Anyway, my HP DV9000 is still under HP Warranty and I was able to call in advance and tell them the diagnosis that the Geeksquad told me, and Control Alt Delete ordered the part in advance, so I only needed to wait a couple hours to have it changed out. Wow!!! (The HP had quoted 5-7 working days.... NOT a possibility to be without my computer for that long.). In addition, I had a few other questions that i asked my service rep Alex, and he was INCREDIBLY helpful... (even told me about a free downloadable utility app that I hadn't heard of that saved me hundreds of dollars in a new hard drive!) I and I didn't have to pay extra for his expertise. After having called another Local computer Repair center, and talking to someone there who knew nothing about my probems... I'm glad I drove the extra couple miles to find Control Alt Delete on Sumner Avenue. Kudos to Tom also. read more

Control Alt Delete been at this location for nearly 13 years. I didn't find them until about a month ago and boy, am I glad I did! I had a pretty serious problem with my brand new laptop. I spilled a glass of milk into it that affected the power supply. It just wouldn't turn on! Where other "computer repair" places might have told me I had an expensive boat anchor and offered me $100 for it, Tom dug into it, figured it out and replaced a part that generally doesn't get replaced (it's really hard to do). Of course, he's been in the computer business since The Early Days and really knows his stuff. Tom is professional, honest, amiable and service-minded. He called me at regular intervals to let me know how things were progressing while he had my computer. When he was done, his fee was unbelievably reasonable compared to my previous experiences. Excellent Service with reasonably price. I learned not to go little mom and pop that runs business for a few months and close their door. If you live within 50 miles of a technology service provider, you should take your computer here. Don't settle for anything less. read more

I came for a business trip from New York City to Springfield area. In the middle of the meeting my macbook shut down and was not coming back. I almost had a heart attack. All my correspondence for this business deal I need for the meeting next day. Went to Apple store, they asked me to buy another laptop. Go figure. They said it will take time and expensive to get the data out. Then also recommended Control Alt delete in Springfield. I contacted them. Tom was nice enough to open his business after hours. I shared a morning cup of coffee with my laptop and while i enjoyed the coffee, my laptop did not. A small amount was spilled on the unit and was quickly wiped. Unfortunately, it caused it to stop working. I called Control Alt Delete and followed Tom's instructions to allow it to dry. The next morning, it did not power up. I brought it into the shop and received a very friendly greeting and check in from Stephanie. Tom said he would check it and call me. Long story short, he was able to successfully move my hard drive to a reconditioned unit. I was most satisfied with the service and felt that this was an honest assessment and resolution. What can I say, I am extremely thankful for Tom and his team of very intelligent IT guys! My laptop's hard drive completely gave out (in the midst of finals weeks at WNEU for me, just my luck). I took my laptop to Control Alt Delete on Sumner Avenue to Tom and his team and not only did he/they fix my laptop within 3-4hours within the SAME DAY (with ALL documents, pictures, etc. saved). I came into Control Alt Delete for help with my old Dell computer that had a virus. They were very busy and Tom took care of business right away asking his employee to help me. It turned out Tom offered to trade my computer for a minimal cost. I agreed but first i wanted him to wipe out my data to my old computer in front of me and he did.
