The guy was very confident about fixing the iPad when I called on the phone, but once they get you in the shop the smoke and mirrors starts. When he says that the repair cost is "market price" and he had to look it up, that is a scam. These guys are fast talking scammers who might as well be selling used cars, and if their parking lot was bigger they might be doing so. A few years ago, my phone charging port was not working right in and I was in the process of getting new phones and changing providers. He couldn't repair it. He hooked me up with a gadget to charge my phone till I got the new ones. Today I stopped by because every time I plugged my cellphone auto charger into my saddlebag port on my Indian Chieftain motorcycle, it knocked the FM radio right out. All FM. I also have had issues in my truck with certain FM stations using these cheapo chargers. I showed Ibrahim when I brought my bike in today, and he said............"I'll be right back". Brought out his auto charger and BOOM. All good. It takes A to C and C to C cables also! It was the cheap dollar store chargers that were causing all the interference. I had also bought some quality in home wall chargers from him when I got new phones. They work GREAT. He sells "the good stuff" but much cheaper than the phone dealers. I bought 2 of these new auto chargers for our vehicles and 1 for my bike. When my current major carrier contract runs out I may go with a service that he provides because he treats you right and makes sure he can help you. Cracked Solution is like the Android™ Genius™ Bar, but in your local mall patio. I've had to exhaustively research repairing screens, since even as an adept computer repair person, cell phones are a class of their own. Beyond soldiering, the cell phone industry is a complex pipeline of suppliers, manufacturers, and vendors. The price they repaired my screen for was much less expensive than competitors' offers online for the same service: a factory-original screen and replacement within your device. I was not willing to save $40 and possibly lose a week with my phone. I was not willing to find a factory-original screen, disassemble my device, and move anything if I needed to. And, I was not able to consider shopping around for more than just screens, but waterproof adhesives that match my unit or shaping a generic to do the same. The familiar tech (Jas.) who has fixed my phones many times when scheduled, will fix it within a few hours, or one hour in my case. Did you get all that? No? Then take your phone to these people and they'll deal with it. Samsung is one of the vendors, unlike Apple™, that can offer direct purchases of original replacements (OEM?) for their devices. (Plus, Samsung has Samsung So-Fi, which made anti-Racist commitments all throughout the 2020s.) I only brought my phone for repairs before because I had phone insurance that covered it. Having had quality service two times before the third really helped ring it in: how are they managing the complex smartphone supply chain???? But they are, and making repairs. I'm assuming they'd do more than Android as well.
